Company didn't pay me for my December payment until May! I had to call about 4 times to ocnvince them to send me a check. Poor customer service. Don't join.
ShopSmarter is a scam site in my opinion. I signed up and made a purchase through their affiliate link, carefully reading and following exactly their directions on not using browser cashback extensions, discount codes, etc. They did not credit me with the 10% cashback I was supposed to get. I sent a couple of messages to them asking about it, but they just sent generic responses that didn't address why I didn't get the cashback. They then canceled my membership, but of course after they profited from my using their affiliate link for the purchase. I'm going to complain to the company that I made the purchase from.

Total joke of a business. I opened an account last year and then made an expensive purchase. Shortly afteward, they closed it before paying out the cashback without any warning. After I submitted the receipt, they agreed to open it back up. Ok so then later I closed the account as I got my cashback and didnt want to pay the subscription anymore. More than a year later, I open an account again to take advantage of the cashback on a new purchase. After making the purchase, again they closed the account without warning. This time the excuse was that "I already had an account so I can't have more than one per household". Nowhere was there an option to "re open" the old account that was cancelled so, of course, I had to create a new one. In the end I lost a lot of cashback and u can bet they kept it all for themselves. What a joke of a company. They customer support is outsourced and are of zero help. Reported to various agencies.

I was charged by this company for something I never signed up for. I do not make purchases online. Yet my bank alerted me last week for a charge of$9.97 which was declined. They tried to charge my card again this morning to another charge in the same amount. If this is a monthly charge and I agreeed with my bank it was fraudulent, why did they try again. SCAM. I had to cancel my card so these idiots can't try and get money from me again.

Was tricked into subscribing without realising after purchasing tickets on ticket master. Signed up in the march 2019 they didn't charge my account till the october 2019 so i wouldn't relised it was from this site. I phoned the site once i realised i had payed £70 for a site i have never visited in my life asking for a refund while the girl on the phone replyed well you accepted the terms and agreements then laughed at me. Would not recommend this dodge company. Im sure the terms and agreements didnt say we will wait 6 month before charging you for an account you haven't set up so you don't realise what the payment is.

I clicked a link when purchasing through bed bath and beyond offering $10 rebate. Signed up thinking it was bed bath and beyond, never thought of it again. 6 months later, i noticed a charge on my credit card. Apparently i have been paying for it for 6 months! I won't be shopping at bed bath and beyond anymore. They link their signup with purchases with legitimate online retailers so you're not even aware you signed up!

Super buggy platform that does not clarify or give you value at all. I saw the rebate banner on by Bed Bath & Beyond order so I clicked. The CTA didn't actually work or link anywhere on the first 3 emails from my Order Confirmation or Shipping Confirmation, so they clearly don't know how to do some simple dynamic components... From there, their platform makes you sign up, give your CC info (Sketchy?) and then send proof of the Order you just came from. Don't you know my order from the email you just promoted to me on? Then it charges you a monthly fee and won't give you the "Rebate" they promoted to you until the end of your first month of their "Membership". In this review did you just get confused about a membership? Yeah same on their website they don't mention it at all until you are signed up and paid? WTF?

Free dropping but they charge a monthly fee. I had the surprise on my credit card every month. When I entered my identification I wasn't told there was a monthly fee. They do not want to refund.

Their website lists a bunch of stores you could get cash back from. Then after you sign up, those stores are no longer there anymore. I contacted customer service and they said they don't do cash back for all the stores I had interest in. However, the stores are STILL listed on their website prior to sign up.
This is incredibly misleading. They are fishing for customers. The stores for cashback simply do not exist with them. But you don't find out until after you sign up.
The customer service is not helpful and not knowledgable. None of them have been able to answer my questions unless they "ask a supervisor to escalate the problem" and say they will get back to me in 24-48 hours. They never get back to you by the way. I just keep contacting to talk to someone who could give me answers.
When I explain the situation, none of them care enough to make up for THEIR mistake. I would have never signed up if all the stores I purchase from are actually unavailable. What a cheap trick.

I saw the ad for getting 10% back on my online purchase for Bed Bath & Beyond, so I signed up. Never received the 10% cashback for that purchase even after sending multiple emails. But I have been charged $10 and even though I had a welcome bonus they get you by not sending it for two months so you end up paying $10 no matter what. This is a scam do not sign up!

Hide their scam in the websites of reputable companies after the customer has made a purchase making the consumers think the offer for $10 cash back is from the company. You can cancel the so-called "membership" once you find out what it is but they will still charge you $2.50for a "trial period" whether you want it or not. Do not get fooled by this scheme! And shame on the companies that allow them to place their ad within the company's site after the customer has paid for an online purchase!

They closed my account and didnt honor my earnings cause a made multiple purchases of the same item from walmart because they had a purchase limit of 2 per order and the claimed that buying multiple orders of the same item is against the terms and conditions of which they do not display on there site really upsetting
We used this program to our benefit until they stopped paying. When christmas time came around we did most of our shopping online at walmart. Com and to our dismay tehy never paid out any of our transactions, especially the 20% ones they promised. I even had them send me an email confirming $ approved then they took them back. Highly disappointed. Will report to better business bureau

After speaking to a nice lady at Shop Smarter, she refunded all the charges to my credit card, explained how shop smarter works and the monthly charges. Probably first time in my experience where a company refunded the money in such scenario. Maybe I'd consider them in future...

They sent me a cheque of $10 which was bogus as my bank would not consider it a legit cheque. They took my credit card information while signing up and charged me $13.45 three times... yes they charged me three times... I wish I had done a little google search before signing up.
