I saw this advertised after making a purchase on Walmart.com. I was ok with everything right up until they asked for my credit card info. Right away my feelers went up and I knew it was a scam. I don't care If it was Walmart.com. I would never give any company that I am not doing business with my financial information. Nobody gives you nothing for free nowadays and there is too many dishonest people and scammers out on the interwebs! To those who have been scammed you need to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and contact the Attorney General's Office in Connecticut, so that they can put an end to these kinds of scams!
Made 1st Wal-Mart online purchase today and while processing purchase this company kept popping up and, frustratingly, kept declining their services. Wal-Mart.com says they have zero affiliation with ShopSmarter. I received numerous emails from them following day then finally "unsubscribed" from what I never subscribed to. Latest email tell me I'm "cancelled effective July 24th", same as delivery date of purchase. And, I won't be incurring any charges.? Wal-Mart, if they truly have zero affiliation with ShopSmarter, has been compromised.

Feel Scammed. Clicked to get 10% off Bed Bath & Beyond to save $20 but it cost me $171.28 in monthly $9.97 fees plus $179 the first month. I didn't catch it on credit card because it was same time I signed up for other services like WalMart +, Instacart, DoorDash, etc. but I caught it now because I cancelled all of those services and the charge was still there. I requested cancellation yesterday and just received confirmaion email but they're still going to charge me for June making total loss $181.25 - $20 = $161.25.

Used the program as it was intended, made several purchases that I had to make anyway using their site/system to access the stores where I was shopping already... including a couple of big ticket items like a dishwasher (Sears) and 2 new computers (Best Buy)... received a check as expected at the conclusion of my first quarterly payout cycle. My only complaint is that I quickly maxed out their $1000 annual cashback limit within the first 3 months... but that is well worth the $12.97 monthly fee.

I thought, why not get a 10 dollar rebate? I saw that it asked for my card number which I thought was very suspicious. I looked up reviews right before I finalized the service and boy am I glad i did. I almost fell for it. DONT DO IT!
A place my order in September 2023 and it's January 2024. Still waiting for my refund to come through. Every time I email them, they just ignore my email. It's a scam company.
They have deducted $450 from my checking account and did not rebate a single dollar. When I reached out they are staying it's for membership and they have charged $41 dollars for membership for few months. When I reached out to them they are saying they will refund 6 months money. Which is just $55. Big Red Flag

Thought I was signing up directly with Best Buy, the sign up came at the end of a TV purchase online I just made, had Best Buy logo on the form, gave them my credit card information. I'm usually pretty good recognizing this stuff but they were VERY slick. I feel a bit dumb but hope I can warn others. Fortunately my Bank picked it up as fraud before I called them.
Even called ShopSmarter on the phone and they tried to tell me they are an authorized partner with Best Buy! I hope not...

If a member chooses to stay on board past their trial period, they are subject to the $12.97 monthly fee in order to access our savings benefits. I had to stop my account because of financial reasons and my card was lost/stolen. They refused to allow me to reopen my ShopSmarter account and then I could not reopen another account either. The customer service on the phone told me to open another account but it would not allow me to do so and then I started a chat with an agent to try to figure out what the problem was and she was in such a rush to close the chat and she would not allow me to ask all of my questions and she kept wanting to end the chat. She said that she referred me to another department and now I have to wait on a response from them. Customer support via telephone was very understanding but the chat agent did not seem to care about the customer and she kept refusing to allow me to ask complete questions so I just gave up on her and she immediately closed the chat without even saying thank you or goodbye or anything,
Purchased several things by the book according to their rules. Made several large purchases and had my discount not applied. Emailed customer service for them to tel me it will be between 2-8 weeks before issuing my discount. (If they didn't resolve the issue). 8 weeks later, after I had to reach out again, they said it was denied. They won't respond to my emails or calls. Garbage company and garbage people who make money scamming. DONT USE THIS CONPANY!

A $10.00 coupon was offered to after I did a purchase from a reputable company (Bed Bath & Beyond) and the shopersmaort company requested my CC number and instead of crediting my account they started debiting it: $2.00 first they $14.00 then $27 until my bank flagged it. And put a stop to their scam. These are thieves BBB should shut them down before they scam someone else!

The worst Company I have ever encountered. I dont know in USA how its existing. I already sued this company. I had 500$ cashback on my flight booking I have email confirmation even earned cashback email still they are not ready to give my cashback
I understand there is a monthly fee. But I shop a lot online and think the 10% cash back is of value to me. So I took the offer.
Did a lot shopping through Christmas. And just got a letter that they think i'm buying for business purpose and closed my account!
So now they are keeping my cashback reward from vendors and I'm out of close to $1000!

I read the negative reviews and I don't get it. It seems like a problem with Bed/Bath/Beyond. I spend a lot online and always look for a ShopSmarter merchant. I get paid frequently and am very happy. You need to spend over $10o/month to benefit, but my family shops almost exclusively online except for groceries. I can assure anyone it is not a scam, and I hate to see good businesses get bad reviews.

I am not sure how this happened. We are very careful to review our bills. I am not even sure how long they have been sucking money out of our account!
Fortunately we were issued new credit card/numbers and received a letter in the mail from our credit card company indicating that future charges would not be honored. Thank goodness!
