I ordered a made to measure dress in November 16 and when it came in December 16 it was awful, I only wish I had read the reviews for this website before I ordered the dress, I have now reported them to Trading Standards.
Ordered dress in one colour and size. Sent me wrong colour and 2 sizes too big. Won't give me details to return and say they will only give me 8% of the cost! Over 6 weeks of emails, as you can't call them. Nothing. They ignored me. They make out they are a UK company when I have found out they are in China. I have reported them to the Trading Standards.

I ordered a dress from here two weeks ago, it came and I was so excited having read amazing reviews and on the picture the dress looked gorgeous.
I got home from school one day last week and my mum told me we have bad news. She took me upstairs and hanging in her wardrobe I found this dress. It was an ugly, horrible pink instead of the colour in the picture and the things at the top of the dress, were cheap tacky sequins that were falling off already. I'd asked for 2 inch straps, they were 1 inch. The dress was far too long and it didn't fit me around my chest. I was so upset and disappointed.
My mum has emailed the company asking to send the dress back, they told us to just go to a tailor which is ridiculous because it's not even just the size that's wrong with it, it's the whole dress. It's nothing like what it's supposed to be. We paid a lot for the dress as well as near enough £20 for delivery and they are now not allowing us a refund. This is ridiculous and so upsetting.
It is a complete scam, I bought and paid £100 for a Prom dress for my daughter, it is way too big! Linda promised a refund if I got a local tailor to alter it, it will cost another £100 to get it fixed, now Linda has offered me 8% refund... what a complete INSULT
Ow i cant express enough my REGRET about the order from this website! First time in my life i decided to order a dress for 117£ from online shop and as result recieved an awful looking cheap fake dress which didnt fit at all in any place! Was too long, materials are cheap and look tacky, just everything is so awful, i can not even redo this dress the only way is to throw in a bin! So much regret, I regret i never googled reviews on this website, was to naive. I even tried to report on them to internet fraud report center and waiting on response what they can do to these thieves. Just know that everything they write on website is a complete LIE, they promise to refund money if you go to tailor the dress- THEY WOULDNT! They promise to refund full cost if you dont like the dress - THEY WOULDNT! Do not get caught on the same rod as me girls...
So my mother ordered a dress and paid for it in good faith and like many of your stories we have been hit with the same problems, the dress is the wrong size and when asked to make a new one they told her she needed to pay 70% of the material cost. WHAT A JOKE! They then have the audacity to tell my mum she will receive 8% of the total cost of the dress! This phoney company needs to be shut down they are clearly robbing people left right and centre and because they are based in Hong Kong they can't be touched! Joke, that's daylight robbery!

Firstly don't be fooled by their Web address - shillas.co.uk - are based in Hong Kong.
My wife ordered an evening dress from Shillas costing around £150. She is usually a UK size 14, but to be on the safe side ordered a 16. When the dress arrived it was an estimated small 12 and also the wrong colour. We were first asked to send a photo - which showed the zip raised approx 25% of it's length and a gap of approx 75/100mm at the top. To much for a simple alteration.
Shillas offered to make another but we were asked to pay another 70% (£100 ish) "material cost". Not confident they would get this right and risk wasting more money, we declined and asked to return the dress for a refund.
Numerous e-mails later they have offered to refund 8% (approx £12).
The moral of our story - don't take the risk go to a shop where you can try and buy!

And although beautifully made the bust measurement of 30" A very unrealistic size for a middle aged British woman. And here is where it all goes wrong. Shillas are offering me an 8% refund because they want me to cover all THEIR costs. And so I have paid £127 for a dress that I cannot wear. This dispute is ongoing. So let's see what happens. They requested pictures which I duly sent and insend pictures of the dress against a measuring tape. And so their is no denying the problem. They have also offered to make me a new dress if I pay 70% of the retail price. The audacity k ow no bounds. I intend to take this dispute to MasterCard. This is not fair trading and everyone should know it. So beware and get your special dress from someone else.
I bought a wedding dress from Shillas and it was a complete disaster. The dress looked nothing like the picture on the website, the fit was poor, decorative beads fell off when handled and the bottom was not elasticated. They refused to take the dress back or offer a refund (if fact they do not have a return address) despite countless emails. Do not get conned do not buy from this organisation.
After looking at these dresses on line I thought they were different and looked so elegant and thought I would love one as I could not find anything suitable and differnet here. I read the Returns & refund terms and decided to take the plunge.

I purchased 2 bridesmaid dresses on this website at a cost of 300. The dresses did not match what was advertised and when I asked for a refund they would not engage with me. I wish I'd read the reviews before ordering a dress from Shillas, it was my worst shopping experience ever. I was fooled by the website address and thought it was a UK company. The dress costs 179 pounds, it looked nothing like the picture advertised, they got my measurements incorrect, my tailor couldn't fix it and after lots of emails from Linda they offered me 10% discount which I never got. I had to order another dress elsewhere. If they can be found, they should be shut down! Bunch of thieves!
Ordered a dress for a formal which arrived just too late and the colour wasn't accurate. Also would have required alteration. QUALITY POOR. Based on their returns policy I asked for returns authorisation. Thus ensued dozens of emails from Linda (if Linda is even a person) refusing to take back the dress. I tried everything, even speaking with my credit card company - basically no statutory rights as the company trades outside of UK. I can't even sell the dress on ebay for a fraction of the price! I really wish I'd seen other reviews before I ordered from them. I can't even find one positive in the whole experience. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. NASTY, DISREPUTABLE COMPANY.
Although there website says they offer refunds no matter, they don't. My dress was too big & beads coming off before it even arrived. They are not uk based & terrible to deal with. They offered an 8% refund & I just want to return dress & get a full refund. Their website is very misleading.

I thought I had found the ideal dress making site for a dress for my low key wedding. Although pregnant at the time of ordering I used measurements from a previous dress to send. The first dress came and I loved it, I couldn't wait to have my little one and then be able to try on my dress. That day came and unfortunately the dress didn't fit. No worries I thought - re measure and re-order. "Linda" was very helpful and through email communication. The dress was re-ordered. When it turned up 2 weeks before I way due to get married it was white not Ivory, has a train when I didn't order one and also was way too long. So no dress to get married in. Today "Linda " is still arguing that the dress is Ivory not white and that I ordered it with a train even though I have sent the order and all our emails... A lesson learnt cheap means exactly that! I should of bought British - the trouble is to the un- trained eye, the company market themselves as British with a UK telephone number and website. Hey ho an expensive lesson learnt.
Do not buy from this place. Paid for a dress and extra for my own measurements. Dress came at least 4" too small all over. Sent them pictures plus measured the dress to show them how much they had got them wrong. They will remake but I have to pay. They will not refund all the money as they say they will be out of pocket! So am I and the dress was for my son's wedding. Do not buy from them. Their customer service is disgusting and they do not want to know!

Answer: Hi there, the credit card company sent me a claim form after I rang them. I provided all the corresponding emails, copies of their returns policy, a link to the website, and an explanation of what had happened. It took about a month to come back, but they refunded the whole lot without quibble, as the returns policy is basically an untruth. My credit card is with HSBC. I strongly advise anyone to take the time and effort to do this and get their money back as the website is just full of untruths and it's not right or fair to anyone! Good Luck Migle M!

I do not recommend anyone to buy from this website unless you got to much money to burn.
