I'm an enthusiastic home mechanic and enjoy working on my motorcycles and cars. After making do with a collection of individual tool boxes, cases and socket sets for many years, I finally decided to treat myself to a decent tool chest and get everything organised in one place. I had a look around at the big tool companies like Halfords, Machine Mart, Tool Station, and searched online reviews. The frequently recommended best brands for quality and value were Halfords and SGS. After looking at both ranges I decided the 26" professional 14 drawer tool cabinet and chest combination from SGS would be ideal. I paid extra for next day delivery so that I could have all weekend to arrange everything. The courier company gave a 1 hour delivery window and arrived on time. The boxes were carefully packed and arrived in immaculate condition.
I'm really impressed with the build quality - the cabinet is made of a decent thickness sheet and feels stronger than some others I looked at. Well finished, with smooth running drawers. This feels like it will give many years good service.
My only criticisms would be it would be nice to have matched key locks for the cabinet and chest, and I'd like to be able to open the drawers on the chest without having to lift the lid.

I finally decided that the Millwakee Combi drill was the one I wanted to replace my Makita. After many hours searching I came back to SGS to purchase. Why? Best price that I could find on line and with good reviews it was a no brainer. Ordered after hours on 24th and arrived early p.m. on the 26th. Pretty good I thought. Also it eats guessing if the product you are buying from some auction sites is genuine or not. Great peice of kit too. Will be visiting again when I need another deal.

I'm a private customer with no affiliation to Sgs but what I do know is quality workmanship robust design and care for valued costumers is most important when trying to run a profitable business so well done Sgs
I now own several Sgs products and I can honestly say I've not been disappointed with any In fact am very impressed indeed Thank you for a great service all round.

My ongoing saga with an SGS 100L air compressor.
I now have 3 complaint numbers for this saga 42-*******, 42-*******, 69,-*******
Arrived with a cracked manifold and rust in the tank. Despite a parts and labour warranty they sent me a replacement manifold for me to fit and told me the rust is normal (I'm not convinced as it is brand new)
After fitting myself and testing it worked correctly I used the compressor twice more. On the 2nd use the compressor failed, (total use approximately 4hours) it runs rough and continues to blow fuses (just over 1 month old at this point)
SGS said they would collect to investigate the fault. After waiting from 8am 6pm on 2 occasions, they still haven't collected.
I am dealing with the customer service manager who currently refuses to offer a refund until the compressor is back and inspected, despite my trying SGS haven't collected it. SGS insist I need to let them try collect again and give me their word it will be collected (like their written confirmation it will be collect on the previous 2 occasions, to me their word doesn't mean much) yet refuse to take any reasonable actions to ensure the same doesn't happen again e. G use a different courier.
They are currently looking at what they can do and are going to get back to me so we will see what they suggest? My opinion seems like stall tactics.
Failing this I guess writing to their director Andrew Wyatt, trading standards or small claims is next option.
