Great variety and can find what you need. But some products are way overpriced and can be found cheaper in other stores. So do you search for cheaper prices.
This is a review of the store. There are 5 stores in my area and I shop at them all regularly. Once in a while I will encounter an employee with actual knowledge but don't know as much as I do and I'm just a consumer. For example, no one understands the difference between skin undertones and surface tones and they're always steering me towards neutral foundation shades. I have pink surface tones but my undertones are yellow so neutral foundations juat make me look like I'm wearing a mask. Once, a sales associate recommended a cool foundation shade. No, I am not cool-toned.
They're also super weird about returns. Sephore guarantees all their products and it should not matter of the product has been used or not yet certain stores make a big production of inspecting the product I'm returning if I say that it was it was unused. I returned a foundation the cashier not only inspected the pump, she also opened the bottle to look inside. Why would she do that unless the store puts returned products back on the shelves?
I am addicted browsing through all the items on Sephora just like I am at the store. I just wish they had better sales. My favorite brands are never on sale. Buying 4 lipsticks is like $100. LOL
It's the most amazing and useful website for me. I have used it for many times. Highly recommended. I got free samples on and have since purchased because they are so amazing.
I can not count the number of times that I have been complimented while wearing this fragrance. Each time I'm caught off guard because I forget I'm wearing it. The fragrance is soft and feminine.
I placed numerous orders with Sephora given that they promised same day or next day delivery. But Sephora uses fleetoptics as their carrier and that company is unreliable. They'll write failed delivery attempt when they didn't make any, write recipient not home, etc. They even once uploaded a picture of someone else's front door to prove they made a bogus attempt. I had to send photo and video of my front door in order to prove that their driver was malicious. Every time I speak to Sephora they make me understand that it's not their issue to contact the carrier. If you're lucky you'll get to chat with them after hours of waiting but over the phone nearly impossible. I informed Sephora and still nothing. I provided pictures, explained the situation and go in details. All to end up with a generic answer from Sephora. I can't even cancel the order. Sephora should hold the carrier responsible for their bad service. Also Sephora should provide its customer with assistance, not premade answer ready before you've even finished explaining the situation. I'll boycott Sephora until they give insurance about the service from their carrier.
Did you know that Sephora has a customer service policy that they can only help you once? After that, any problem you have with your order, it's on you. Sephora lost one of my packages (easily verifiable, given that my building has secure lockers with codes that send notifications to both the receiver and the delivery service), so they re-sent my order. Months later I ordered something else, and came completely broken due to poor packaging. I contacted customer service to see if they could send a replacement, showing them the pictures of the broken item the same day of delivery. They literally responded that "they couldn't help me because they had helped me before". Note the fact that replacing a package that was not delivered by the company they hire is a *favor* to me... unbelievable. After that, chaos. I placed a hold in my bank due to the fact they wouldn't replace or refund the item, Sephora LOST the dispute with my bank and they proceeded to place my account "under review" without telling me, so I couldn't place any online orders. I only found out about this six months later, when placing an order that never arrived (I received a confirmation email and everything). Sephora never told me anything about this, or how to solve it. I had to consistently talk to their customer service, where they told me multiple times they would escalate this and someone would contact me within 24hrs, but nothing happened. Overall, terrible customer service experience, and it's just not worth it. Their customer representatives are incredibly rude and unhelpful, and I won't be shopping here again.
I have ordered from Sephora (as well as shopping in store) I have always had a positive experience, quality products, shipped promptly and in cute packaging with samples.
The people there are horrible at makeup. Don't know anything. They tell you whatever they want about a product to make you buy it. And they follow you around like a little kid, it's a horrible place.
I'm a member with Sephora. Com/ Sephora app and make small purchases here and there online or in the app and I recently had ordered an eyeshadow pallet that my mailman delivered to the incorrect address and the post office clung to the answer being I likely entered my shipping address incorrectly and was then asked for my address to confirm. I recited it to clerk and said that I am using the wrong apartment number so my package was delivered to the incorrect address and since I am the one who entered the wrong number, I'm the one at fault and the package is gone... I emailed Sephora and explained my problem and the resent my item at no cost to me and with free shipping included... I also received a very sympathic letter expressing their concerns for my feelings and sent a follow-up email to survey my experience with the support team.
Sephora may be high $$$ spectrum but when it comes to quality merchandise that does what the label advertises it's usually worth every penny.
There are also all kinds of sales and coupons for a little break on your wallet.
I love my Sephora perks, the free samples, and the customer service. I shop here for all my makeup and nail polish products. I often visit the store to try but buy more online!
I love Sephora and have ordered from them several times. Quick shipping and love the samples. I wish they had sales on designer products and better deals in the sale area.
I have been a customer of Sephora exclusively for a while now and I recommend them over all other beauty stores even though I have never actually been in a physical store yet. I called the store closest to me in Taylor, MI (11/07 at 5:52 pm) to ask if they carried all the products that a full sized Sephora does since they are located inside a JC Penny's. I needed to find my color match for a pricier (but totally worth it) foundation and I didn't feel confident doing it with an online color swatch. A girl answered right away but then said, "hold on, I'll answer all your questions after I ring up this customer." I said, "sure, no problem, take your time," because I understand what it's like to be busy at work. 20 MINUTES LATER, no joke, I was still on hold, pausing my life until someone answered just to ask a quick question that would have taken 20 seconds. Thinking ok, they're only human and they probably forgot about me, I hung up and called back. 3 calls later and not one person picks up the phone. Really? Even if I was upset (which I wasn't until they started dodging my calls altogether) the least they can do is be professional and own up to their poor customer service. This experience with a Sephora brick and mortar store makes me question if I have been raving about a place that has poor customer service. I should have checked the store out myself and now I feel foolish. I HOPE that no one I have referred there has encountered the classless group of employees that I did tonight.
My mom loves Sephora makeup. I can say that this is the best quality and best service available for retail makeup stores. I can't say anything negative.
I don't normally write reviews, but I need to voice this...
I have never shopped at Sephora before, I manage a supplement store and me walking into Sephora would be the equivalent to a Sephora manager walking into my store as a first time gym goer with no supplement knowledge.
I didn't know my "skin type" and was automatically made to feel stupid that I had no idea what that meant. I don't wear make-up normally but wanted to find a nice foundation for when I go out with my friends. I was sat down to do a color match and application by one of the employees. As she was putting on my foundation she stops... meanwhile around me are several other girls getting their make-up applied, she then says to me my worst fear in public..." what are you doing about your facial hair." I have struggled with this my whole life and get my chin and upper lip waxed regularily and this happened to be the week of my next appointment. I kid you not, I look around and EVERYONE is starting at me.
I have never felt so ugly, ashamed and like I shouldn't have gone somewhere in the first place. She was rude, made me feel dumb for not having a "primer" and did not explain anything to me. If this was one of my employees I would have FIRED her a long time ago.
No wonder girls these days are meant to feel ugly and think they NEED make-up.
Thank god I know I am a beautiful girl and have people around me who love me without layers of synthetics on my skin.
So to every girl who has had similar experiences, you are beautiful the way you are, and please if anyone doesn't love you for who you are... I do.
Instead of a lip balm it really looks like a vape im not sure if it is one but i do really want to hit it
I received a $150 gift card for Christmas. I used $31 on Sephora Mobile app then went in store to redeem the remaining balance $119. They said that the funds were already used. I told them that was impossible showed them what I had order online that was delivered to my address. Customer service said that I must have been hacked online and there wasn't anything they could do about it. I asked for the name and address of the person who supposedly hacked my card and they said they aren't allowed to give out that information. So you are telling me my loved one is out of $119 because your system is faulty. Either give me the name and address of where the merchandise was delivered or refund my money right? Seriously, you let your customers get robbed by using your app. Then claim to not be responsible. Then say it's like cash. No it's not like cash because nobody is going come take cash out of my pocket without a fight. This is a scam Sephora is running I will never shop here again. Highly disappointed with this company.
I went to one of store in Singapore and wanted to choose a liquid foundation. Then a male staff approached me and asking me whether I need the store staff to help to choose the color shade for me. I said it would be great. Later he asked a male staff to server me. Then the male staff is telling me that he also using the same type of foundation(sorry my skin is different from yours, I'm a femeal and I don't need such information, plus I can see his make up so thick and no difference from other brand with a much more cheaper price.)I told him I'm looking the type of foundation with a kind of lasting, glowing look and also won't clone pores. Then he told me he is using the liquid foundation and other brand of face powder.(again, I don't have to know that, your look doesn't prove anything!)After that I was trying to put the foundation on my own face to see how it looks like. Then I don't know why he was keep lecturing me saying, you should never use foundation alone, if you want to have a nice look then you should focus on skin care and not foundation... Sorry it sounds like my skin care got problem? I don't have to know such useless info, you just wasting my precious time. Don't you think the staff's customer service so terrible?
I wish i could buy all the pretty stuffs here. Lol. I love the brands, oh my! Such a good quality and brands. Will definitely buy more hopefully soon.
Needed a last minute gift for a friend, and this shipped VERY quickly (more quickly than I could have gotten it directly from Sephora). Will be using Amazon's gift card program in the future.
Answer: There are a ton of great moisturizing and anti-aging products out there to help you. Sephora has so many that your head will spin, but there are also a lot of drugstore alternatives that are rated just as highly (or better) than a lot of higher-end ones. I would do some research online before ever stepping foot into a store like Sephora (trust me - they will bombard you with very expensive things you don't need). Honestly, I really like Ulta as a store better than Sephora because they carry both drugstore, middle-end, and higher-end products. (MUCH better service, too) But before you go anywhere, Google things like "best anti-aging products for mature skin" or things like that. Using multiple products, such as a glycolic toner, a serum, as well as a moisturizer is a good idea. One thing that is FANTASTIC for wrinkles and dark spots is Retin-A, but you have to get a prescription for it and it is harsh on your skin (especially if you're sensitive). It literally kills off your top layer of skin (which leads to a very annoying period of your face peeling for a few weeks), but once you get over the growing pains, your skin is amazing. I was diagnosed with melasma, which is hyperpigmentation of the skin, on my face, so my doctor gave me Retin-A and hydroquinone, which really works at fading dark spots. If you can't afford the Retin-A (mine is over $200 a tube), there are a lot of great OTC products that contain retinol and work well, just not like the Rx version. Neutrogena has a great line of products for dark spots and wrinkles. But like I said, do your research and don't let sales reps push you into really expensive products, because they get a commission, and you may get stuck with a bad product and an empty wallet. Hope this helps!
Answer: This is Sephora's list of current promo codes. They should always be valid - whether you get them to actually give you what they're supposed to is always a gamble. To get a birthday promo, you have to join their Beauty Insiders club. It's free - just go to their website.
Answer: Yes. I have to take Care of my skin in every routine when my acne appears
Answer: Yes! They have a VERY liberal return policy. You can try most products in store, as well. But, if you do buy something that you don't agree with, for any reason, don't worry. They exchange easily. I always use Sephora.com... never have had a problem returning for any reason whatsoever.
Sephora has a rating of 2.6 stars from 555 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Sephora most frequently mention customer service, gift card and next day. Sephora ranks 706th among Cosmetics sites.
