Washing Machine
February 23, 2024

If I could give No Stars, they would deserve it.
The technician was very rude and refused to touch the machine as he said it did not have the model number ( this was not a condition set before). Then he demands that we pay for the visit, which I refused as no work was done. After he left, the company sends me n email stating the machine was inaccessible and it was in a tight spot and he was afraid to move it. This is a total lie. I cannot imagine a Company blatantly speaking untruth and claiming service fees. Let this be a warning to other customers who plan to use their services.

Horrific
February 23, 2024

They misdiagnosed our dryer issue and then proceeded to just not show up for the next two subsequent service calls. The call center does everything possible so you don't talk to a human. Not much else to say. It's a miracle that they filed for bankruptcy :)

I called for a dishwasher repair, she was very kind a little hard to understand. She asked to confirm name and I did. As we were hanging up I asked if she needed my address she repeated one on file, I said no. Gave her my correct address, 7 hours away from the original. I said are we still good with the time since the states changed, she assured it was good. I looked at the text that was sent, 6 stops left and he will be in 2 hours. Great! Well the service tech was in the original state. I tried to reach a live person for over an hour, that is after the tech said he would call me back. NO call back, and the number the live person gave me to call back, of course could not reach a human. First time trying, will never try again.

Do NOT use…REFUSE
February 23, 2024

Sears Home Service is a JOKE…do not recommend. The experience with this company was worthless. Started with a appt to repair the good ole Samsung ice maker issues-VERY WELL KNOWN issue! However this company, techs, employees clueless. It asked us to input the details, model, make of the refrigerator and somehow this was changed to some unknown name (my believe is so that it wouldn't be covered under the Samsung known issue warranty). The 1st of 3 appts started on Nov 27th 2023. After multiple 8 hour days waiting for the tech to show-he had no clue, was unprofessional and lacked knowledge of the known issue. He had us order parts this company and his vehicle did not have stocked (although these details of you recall were loaded I to their database). Tech came back to install and was unable to get the ice maker apart, then told me I had to make another appt (another 8hr window to wait for him) to try again. At this point we opted to cancel and ask for a refund to ship the ordered parts back. Today it is Feb 23rd, 2024 and we have yet to receive our refund for these items that we have tracking were received back to them over 30days ago. Everyone points there finger to someone and something else!

The PITS!
February 22, 2024

They farmed/peddled the service request off on some one-man operation who has kept on telling me for a month that the part we need is not available. GE says they have over 100 in a nearby warehouse. Sears is smoking me.

I was connected with Sears Home Services through my extended appliance warranty. I have received nothing but the runaround from SHS. Over a month later and my dishwasher is still not working. I have had appointments and the tech does not show up or he showed up a 8:50 pm! There is no contact and all I've received when I call the so-called customer service is excuses, apologies and "understanding" of my inconvenience. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Have no idea how it stays in business.

Had requested repair for dryer. Technician stated he could not do the work claiming signs of rodent infestation. Requested Sears to cancel coverage at least 3 times with no response. Now threatening with legal action for non payment. Will never do business with Sears again.

Sears Repair Scam
February 17, 2024

Sears charged me for most of my repair in advance, but then there was always an issue with the technician showing up, including one claiming that he knocked on my door and I wasn't home! The repair was never done, and Sears is keeping a chunk of my money. Money that I need to repair my appliance. Now I have to start saving for the same repair again! It was difficult to contact Sears as its calling center is outside the US, and the only option was to make another appointment. I had to pretend to need a different repair to get to someone who transferred me to the automated voice system again. This happened several times. I had to talk to three different reps to cancel my order. To get a refund, which I'm still waiting to receive, I had to press hard and tell them that I was filing a complaint with some government agencies as it seemed like they were running a scamming business. Dealing with Sears Repair was not a pleasant experience. In fact, it was full of stress and anxiety. And to think that Sears was one of my favorite stores for appliances and almost everything else.

Never deal with thiis company. They will give you the runaround and will come up with any reason not to cover any repairs. Save yourself money and look for service contract elsewhere

Microwave
February 15, 2024

I attempted to get my Bosch microwave repaired as it's under center counter. The call center(who knows where) set an appointment My daughter stayed home from work, the stove repair man came out. He could not fix my microwave as he's a stove guy. I rescheduled for a Saturday. The guy could not fix it as I needed a control which they don't make anymore. A friend brought a control which wasn't the issue…. $350.00 later and no closer.

Tech came out to repair a water softener, said it needed a motor. He ordered, had to prepay and set new appointment for a week away. Received tracking number but it doesn't say what company is delivering, so can't track it. Parts didn't arrive, no way to contact Sears and speak to someone. Waited during appointment time and no contact from Sears.

If I could leave a 0 I would. They used to be a decent company by now they r the worst. They have sent out a repair man 3 times. The have sent out the wrong part. And have said that they don't make the part any more. They have said that there will be a resolution for either a replacement or a buy out for the last 3 months. I just kept calling back and getting Apologies the that they understand it has taken too long and call back in 2 days or 5 day or 14 days and I do. I have been very polite to them but 6 MONTHS to come up with a solution is Ridiculous. This started in September and is is now February and still they r working on it

Our ice maker went out over two weeks ago. Technician Lamar came out twice and still did not know how to replace the ice maker. Yesterday no one showed up - no call, nothing. At 5 p.m. yesterday I chatted with someone to reschedule. They are supposed to come out today. I want to make sure it's a different technician that comes out but I don't know how to reach a live person.

Pretty much the same as everyone else. Stayed home all day, lost wages and no show. The tech finally called and said we are rescheduled two weeks later. We emptied our refrigerator out and put everything in ice chests. He said he had nine other repairs before us. That is crazy! I guess the lame bankrupt Sears is finding the only way to may any money. WHAT EVER YOU DO, FIND ANOTHER SERVICE COMPANY. Save yourself a whole lot of frustration.

Home warranty company set up appt with this so called company when my heat went out. Couldnt get a tech out here for 8 days after service call. They gave a appt time between 8am to 5pm. The day of the appt my wife cleared her day to sit at the house and wait. At 4pm, I receive a text message saying that they changed my appt till 3 days later with no excuse. Meaning another 3 days no heat in the house and have to clear another day to sit here all day waiting on a tech which may or may not come. Your company is unreliable and nobody answers the phone...everything is totally automated. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Poor excuse for a repair company and would not recommend them to anyone. Only reason I gave 1 star is because you cant go lower

Horrendous/worthless
January 26, 2024

11/25/23 Filed claim. 12/08/23 tech 1 inspected, ordered parts.12/28 tech 2 discovered tech 1 didn't order all parts that were needed. The needed parts were then ordered. 01/25/24 tech 2 returned, unable to repair as a specific tool was needed, which he could purchase. SUPERVISOR would not approve of purchase request. Sears needed to order tool per super. Repair delayed until 02/22/24.Tech 2 was awesome, tech 1 not. Supervisor awful. Sears Home service awful. Avoid Sears Home Services!

Sears is the absolute Worst home appliance warranty service company! My clothes dryer stopped working back in October 2023. Today is Jan 26,2024, I paid $100 service to have the technician out, I was told the part to fix my dryer would arrive within 7-10 days. 1 1/2 months later after many calls I was told the part was back ordered then it was discontinued & I would get a new dryer per the contract. Their technician placed the order. Jan 4,2024 I was relieved when the new dryer came. However, the size ordered was incorrect, it was too large for the space in my condo. Sears said I would be charged 30%(restocking fee) since I refused the dryer or I would be given $400 towards me purchasing a dryer. Unhappily I agreed to the check because I was exhausted & frustrated dealing with Sears & the inconvenience of not having a working dryer. Now almost a month later I'm still waiting for this check. Mind you I'm still being charged $49.99/ month in fees! I guest the plan is to keep delaying enough to recoup the money they will send me!
My advice; Go Elsewhere for Appliance Coverage!
