I will never buy from this company again. I ordered from them in December 1999, returned some items right away. A month later I was told I would receive $413.18 credited back to my PayPal account. It has been 27 month of phone calls and promises yet I still haven't received it. I have spent hours, probably more than 100 contacting their service team over the last two years and every time I am told I will be given the credit within ten business days. I have spoken to managers who have assured me this time I will receive my credit. To this day I still have not. 400 dollars is a lot of money to me but I am at a loss of how to get my money back or at least a store credit.
I'd expect more from this company - be Aware and don't shop here!. Information on the product details on their website are incorrect and I purchased Fendi shoes with the wrong size - customer service is also bad as they couldn't tell me what size it should be. You are waiting for your money back at least 14 business days and hope you will get them as I still didn't get them! Stay away
I placed an on-line order with Saks on 11/7. It was acknowledged the same day and I was told I would be emailed when my order was despatched. Having heard nothing I asked about the status on 11/12 and was told my order had reached their despatch center the previous day. Then nothing. After sending several further follow up emails I was finally advised on 11/19 that my order had been "lost" and that I would receive a refund. No apology. No "we are sending a replacement". Nothing. A dreadful service which should be avoided at all costs. Not worthy of the reputation Saks enjoys. I am furious.
Ordered a bag and paid additional to have it gift-wrapped for my mom. Ended up receiving the bag bare in the box it was shipped in. No paper wrapping, just the bag. Contacted the customer service, and they just left me on read until I asked where they were. Considering how they sell luxury products, you'd think customer service would be top-tier. Wish they invested in their customer service.
Wish I could give them a zero star.
Bought Baccarat brand glasses of total six, and received counterfeit item from Saks.com. So I return and requested a refund next day.
However they opened case# and after 3 months later, was advised their final decision is not to refund.
What I received was all the same fake glasses in the Baccarat brand box, total amount $708.51.
DO NOT PURCHASE anything from Saks.com.
My English is not good but I have reported to BBB, Bacarrat and will review everywhere so this would not happen to other people. Shame on you, Saks.com!
Ordered a 900 dollar stone island jacket off saks fifth avenue online store and they sent me the jacket without the patch (badge) that goes on the jacket sleeve. Now it's going to take a month to get my money back. Absolutely ridiculous. When spending that much money on something you would think everything would be in order. That's not the case. I will NEVER order anything from their website again. I suddgest no buy anything from there website either.
I placed an order back. I never received the merchandise that I purchased, but the status showed it was delivered. I contacted customer service by email, by phone. They promised to check with Fedex which they never did, they never updated me on the progress, each time I had to contact them and finally they said there would be no refund or resending the item.
So, dear Saks, you have a very bad rating here. Maybe try to be at least more customer-oriented.
1. Update your client if there is an issue or you claim you opened a case. The customer will feel you do something.
2. When I called you the first time I never asked for a refund, just to check with Fedex the status (which you never did on reality), you were the ones who started talking about a refund So when you promise something people start to expect it from you and then they will deceived.
P.S. Personally I won't buy from you just because of your attitude.
Saks Fifth is absolutely horrible. I purchased a jersey jumpsuit online. The item came and I could tell I was probably going to return it. Saw that it had some loose threading along the seam and returned the item. The first time I sent it, they returned it stating the damage was caused by customer wearing the item. I called the representative, they told me I was supposed to email a picture prior to returning if the item was damaged. After stating nowhere in their return policy does it state that and emailing pictures of the damage, they sent me a second return label and case number. I get an email a few weeks later of denial of return, again saying it was worn but now saying it had dirt on the leg bottom. I called again, the representative was kind but at the end of the day unhelpful as she kept repeating a third return would only result in the warehouse holding the item. She then said I could return it in the store if it's within 30 days, which it obviously was outside of the window. This whole process was about 3 months. I have only purchased an item from Saks once before for earrings and was only doing so for the Amex credit. Will definitely have to let this credit go as this all was not worth it at all. Avoid this scam of a store
Today I went to Saks 5th Ave., Tysons, VA, and I had a horrible experience. I had a few gift card that I wanted to use & the lady that helped me started to help me & kept on helping other customers at the same time so she won't loose the commission from them. It took a good 45 mins to just order a top. When she came back after half way helping me I told her that she is too busy helping me & at the same time another customer maybe I should go to a different sales person. She got mad. I also had a few gift card that I wanted to use. She got mad because she had to check each one to see if there was any money on it. Very poor customer service. I will never go to Saks fifth.
I bought a Jo Malone Diffuser but never received the order. I submitted a refund claim but was denied soon because they asserted that their courier - FedEx marked it as delivered but they cannot provide the picture or my signature to prove the delivery was completed. I called customer service but their associate asked me to connect the FedEx by myself or submit a dispute to my credit card bank. So, I had to dispute the payment but got rebilled later because Saks communicated with my credit card bank to refuse the dispute. It's a very disappointing experience.
Ordered on 12/28, have spoken to 3 CS agents. The last time I spoke to someone was 1/14. My package has not arrived and there has been no update since the 10th. The agent is starting and investigation and the refund will take 10-14 business days to receive. Up to 3 weeks! I work for an online store and am able to open a claim and refund an order within the hour. I know $100 isn't a lot of money to them but this is terrible customer service.
They sent me the wrong item and I have been dealing with this issue back and forward for 4 months already and I do not get a final refund. I spent thousand of dollar in this store and now even when they delivered the item in question for the last time ( they were not supposed to sent it back again) on the wrong place they do not want to give the refund. Very bad experience.
After spending about $500, I was supposed to be receive a gift card but it never came. After speaking with their customer service, I was promised a gift card to be either electronically mailed or physically mailed to me. It's been 5 months and after repeatedly calling, I still have no gift card.
The worst customer service I have ever received. Incompetent outsourced customer support agents haven't solved a simplest problem. When shopping at Saks I expect a luxury experience, but instead I get an app that crashes when I search for an item and outsourced customer support. I get better service at the cheapest retail store.
I have been trying for over 24 hours to speak to the security department to get the fax number for the police to use to contact them in order to release the relevant information for them to investigate a fraud on my behalf.
All three times I have waited over ten minutes to then be told someone will call me back and no one has. All I want is to speak to the security department to obtain their fax number. But no one it seems is able to help me.
My police team in the Uk is unwilling to contact them and regard this as my responsibility but I have a full time job as well. It's ridiculous how poor they are at dealing with a simple request for a fax number regarding something as important as a fraud and involving the police.
Every single time I order from Saks recently there is a problem. From coupon codes being lies, a new cardholder offer not being given to me a second time when THEY "sold out" of a pricey purse that I attempted to purchase, canceled items in several of my orders
That have "sold out," to two problems now with their Klarna service, I think I am about done. I have already been steering clear of them when they upped their free shipping threshold to $200 and on top of that charge you $9.95 per return. Talk about greed! At least give your loyal long time customers some perks around those ridiculous shipping costs. I have been shopping at Nordstrom or Bloomingdale's lately, both of which I've had ZERO problems with and they offer free shipping and returns. Saks is digging its own grave with its customers. I personally have really pulled back from shopping with them… it's not worth their hassles or constantly losing my $ when I simply want to return an item that doesn't fit! Since they closed so many stores I have to return thru a shipping service! They suck! Steer clear or you're asking for problems that you don't need.
Another really great shopping site with excellent customer service and product offerings. Saks really tries to be different in the items that it sells with the addition of their own brand of clothing and accessories. You can not go wrong with Saks online and in store, but they can be very pricy unless they are have a sale. A Saks fifth ave sale is a dream come true but other shoppers know this as well so items go fast.
I ordered a pair of flip-flops for my daughter. They sent the wrong item. I contacted customer service and have to return the flip-flops for a full refund which is fine. Now they are not on sale anymore, and they refuse to honor the price for replacement even though it was their mistake
"Cannot guarantee anything" is the quote of the day.
If you want to buy a high end product and receive high end customer service, DO NOT SHOP HERE. I am in shock by how poorly I have been treated with my $600+ order.
I hope my review can help you go another direction.
I am Saks long time customer. I ordered CL pool slides. I briefly tried them. They appeared heavy and big on me. I packed them and shipped back in 2 days. Saks warehouse sent it back to me claiming that I sent them a worn shoes. I disputed this charge but unfortunately I can't prove anything even I sent them back right away. Customer service told me that I had to be careful and took a close look. Never happened with me before. It's so outrageous. Someone worn them or shipped floor sample and I am stuck with $500 bill.
