Terrible Experience
September 30, 2019

Ordered jewelry for my wife on our anniversary. Paid for expedited shipping. Never received tracking number for shipment. Of course items did not arrive. Called customer service, they assured me that the items would arrive in 2 days. Again the items never arrived. Spoke to customer rep supervisor and she arranged for refund. She said that the refund will 5 to 7 days. You better believe I will be checking my credit card statement. Will never do business with them again.

Stay far away

If something doesn't fit and you have to return or exchange it- they CHARGE you shipping AGAIN. And if you received free shipping with the original order- they take that back too. So instead of charging you 9.99 for the return- they charge you 19.99. So you LOSE money by ordering with them. Find another site.
Your only other option is for a store credit and with big ticket items- it isn't worth it to have hundreds of dollars held by their site.

Returns

Do not order from this company. I ordered a dress for $500. The website said I could return within 30 days, yet you can't generate a return label. No one will help. They just give you the run around. Beware! Don't order from them. Such a scam! Update! I finally got a return label after getting to talk to a supervisor and threatening to file a complaint with NBC news consumer complaints! Unbelievable! The calls and run around were ridiculous!

Gift with no description

I received a gift with no description of what the gift was. When I contacted Rue Lala, they could not even look up my friend's name... said I had to have her email address only! They were of no help whatsoever. No receipt in packaged gift. Very disappointed... would never order anything again from Rue lala...

Second time I have tried ordering a gift for someone from this website. Horrible. Never arrives on time and only arrives after calling six or seven times. Usually items are damaged or they send the wrong thing. I must be a glutton for punishment to keep going back to this website. Deleting from my favorites asap!

Unprofessional service

I ordered a set of towels on November 6 and today is 12/16/15 and still no towels for another 7-10 business days.

I have had to call four times (so far) and each time I have been given some type of misinformation and false hope. The first time, I was told because of the mix up (which I took responsibility for the apartment number missing) I would get a shipping refund. Then, I was told 5-7 business days the item should be returned and shipped out (twice). Finally, today I was told, we just got the item back and we will "see if we can reship or just get your money refunded in 7 - 10 business days". I was so angry, I asked for a supervisor and Alex advised I should have checked the address and none of this would be happening.

I have never been treated so condescendingly in the midst of the longest return (since 11/26/15 the item has been on it's way back and finally made it back today).

Save your money or aggravate yourself with poor service.

Worst customer service ever!
August 13, 2021

I have been ordering from this company for years and years everything has been great. I have turned so many people on to these people and lately it has been a nightmare. For example they sent me an actual broken necklace then two right shoes now they sent me just one shoe. I now have to print a label and return their item and wait two weeks for my 100 dollar refund. I literally spend thousands with this company and the supervisor wanted to schedule me for a call back because it is 8 pm on a Friday night! This will be the absolute last time I spend my hard earned money with these disgusting individuals.

This company has poor customer service. I have purchased from Rue La La on several occasions. But anytime I've had a problem with an item Rue La La consistently was unwilling to assist in resolving the issue. Once I ordered dinner plates, when half of the order came in broken (I contacted them immediately) they were unable to assist me in getting the broken plates replaced and would not take back the incomplete set.

I have done okay up to not but when I ordered a quilt set a month ago and it was still 'preparing for shipping' a week after I was suppose to receive it, I knew there was something wrong. I've contacted them via email twenty times and have not even received an acknowledgement of my contact even from their own app! Terribly disappointed and will delete their app after I make this known everywhere that I can.

I placed 2 separate orders one for my wife one for myself,my order was a bargain, my credit card was charged for both of the items. Ru la la sent my wife's overpriced item but cancelled my order without any notice what so ever! Called the customer service, no help even from the supervisor! Now I'm trying to dispute and get my money back through credit card company! Save your money stay away from Ru La La!

There should be a total refund of $64.17 for Order #*******031 but they said they will only refund me $38.50 instead of full payment for an undelivered order. And they don't even refund me after a month.
They are like a company of scammers, beware everyone!

If there is still no respond and refund to me, I will keep posting you everywhere!

Glad I came on here to complain about how impossible it is to access their website on a mobile device and got to come across the bad reviews anyway. I don't know who's running this company but you probably could have made a sale from me before I got the opportunity to see this if you had a site that was mobile optimized.

I just recently purchased a pair of shoes from Rue La La as a birthday gift, and after waiting for over two weeks I received an email informing me that my order was going to be cancelled since the merchandise was no longer available. After contacting customer service, I was offered a very generic apology and absolutely no explanation as to why my merchandise was "no longer available" or why it took them two entire weeks to inform me that they did not actually have the merchandise. Overall, it left a very sour taste in my mouth, and I will refrain from shopping there in the future.

I purchased a Louis Vuitton purse listed as excellent condition which is just one level lower than never been carried. The straps were cracked almost completely through and I have to have replaced through LV for $300.00

Wouldn't use again

I ordered a watch and it is larger than most men's watches (I am a small woman). While it was only $29.99 and was returnable... their guidelines are unfair in my opinion. You do get free shipping to return but only if you take a credit. If you want a refund you cannot use your own shipping which would probably be less than $5, you have to use their return label for $9.95 (and I paid $9.95 shipping to get it) For a $29.99 item I would rather put it in a garage sale than spend $19.90 in shipping charges for them to sell again. Also, if you look online there are other sites that sell this watch. Not sure of pricing and return policies, but I have learned from this... and it only cost me $39.94. From now on I read reviews first!

I've ordered things from them before and all was ok. Recently I clicked on the email they sent and I can no longer login. I can only log in with a facebook account. I don't want to share my facebook experience with RueLaLa. So I guess I won't be shopping there anymore.

Ordered an item, totally wrong item was received. In spite of the company making a mistake, I had a chat, phone call, emailed with no results. After sending the item back (same day I received it) One month has passed with no credit to my original payment. Horrible customer service! Bad company!

Love Rue La La!

I've never had a bad experience with Rue La La. Most of the reviews I've read here, complain about information that is well published on the website. Final sales mean just that, (no returns, so be careful). I believe Rue La La to be very reputable with their merchandise. I like their high end clothes and I know the things I've bought are authentic. I've never had a problem returning merchandise, they make it easy!

I've worked in High-End retail and have sold countless handbags. Just looking at some of the photos I can tell that the bags are not genuine. My friends always laugh at me because I can spot a fake bag a mile away. I see a lot here on this site. The reviews of the customers say it all! Fake everything on this site. It's better to save a little more money and make a purchase directly from the store. Many of the high end retail stores have a forgiving return policy even if the item is worn. If you are not happy with your purchase you may return the item as long as you keep the tags and your proof of purchase. Good Luck!

Garbage company cancels order and doesn't tell you until you call in asking for your stuff.
Over 3 weeks after order placed. Still no tracking info and no item. Online order info says "pending shipment." Call in and the order was canceled almost immediately by them but zero emails or any updates at all about the cancellation.
