I have been expecting a parcel from China from AliExpress. Had a message to say there was a problem with the delivery address being incomplete and Royal Mail were unable to deliver it. Fair enough. I contacted Royal Mail customer services and they told me that there was nothing that can be done and that the parcel will be returned to the sender. Royal Mail would rather send a parcel 5000 miles back to the sender than just write another label! I had a similar problem with a parcel being delivered by Fed Ex. They contacted me, wrote a new label and delivered the following day. If they can do it why can't Royal Mail!? Appalling.
I purchased an item from eBay. The Royal Mail postman left the delivery in the communal area of the flats without notifying me. There is a clear notice in the communal area stating that any items found there will be disposed of without notice. As a result, the delivery was lost. I contacted eBay, and they advised me to get in touch with Royal Mail. Over the course of two months, I contacted Royal Mail several times, but instead of acknowledging the postman's mistake, they kept shifting the responsibility either to the seller or eBay. In this way, two months were wasted, and no resolution was reached.
Royal Mail's customer service is extremely ineffective and incompetent when dealing with such complex issues. They are trained to simply protect their reputation by passing the customer back and forth like a football, until the customer eventually gives up in frustration
Utterly terrible customer service
Posted my iPhone in August to sell to a recycling facility. A week later it hadn't arrived so I tracked it and the tracking said, and still says, 'We Have It'.
I filled out the long and very detailed form as requested, and received an auto reply saying we'll get back to you, which they did a month later, 'We're still investigating your claim...' etc., ect.
Three weeks later I chased them up again and got another auto reply, then yesterday, over two months after posting the iPhone, I get an email saying, 'Sorry, you need to contact the business owner and confirm the phone is not there after seven days, for us to start an investigation'
I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with my recent experience with Royal Mail. I had entrusted them with a highly valuable delivery which required guaranteed delivery and a signature from myself. Not only was this protocol disregarded, but the package was stolen from the delivery person.
I had expected the service, especially for such an important delivery, to be seamless and trustworthy. Instead, I found myself dealing with the stress and complications that arose from their negligence. What's even more frustrating is that I have provided proof of the stated delivery requirements and evidence supporting the incident.
Royal Mail are not to be trusted with your parcels or mail.I have had mail and parcels sent to me all tracked and all go missing at the sorting office at Home North Counties mc.I can understand if it was one item that goes missing but this is getting out of hand and yet Royal Mail do not investigate and seem very uninterested. All in all theirs a word for what has been going on with my issues its called theft
Possibly the worst mail service in the UK by a long stretch, these morons lose about 5% of all our mail and cost us thousands per year as a small business. Always late, always putting pricing up but not improving the service. They make it impossible to complain and claim back all this lost mail. I genuinely hope they cease to exist
Absolutely shocking service. I am waiting for an international delivery which was received by Royal mail on the 05/12 (Tracked 48). The tracking information said (which has not changed since), expected delivery on the 06/12. It's now the 20th! I emailed the customer service contact address requesting a proper update / status as it's an Xmas present. I received a very generic reply explaining they cannot give any updates and I should request the shipper makes an insurance claim on my behalf... Clearly no interest from Royal Mail. An absolute disgrace!
My package that was delivered to my neighbor's house instead of my house address. I have not received my package and did NOT ask for it to be accepted by anyone. Royal Mail has ignored my inquiry and my package is worth 80 pounds or 100$.
Royal mail tracked 24 hour is taking a week and beyond, this is a developed country with high levels of infrastructure, there is no excuse, you have no medium to complain or get compensated, just have to endure unbelievable missed service levels
Customer service line always takes over 30 mins to answer. In the last month I have had to call on a number of occasions regarding lost mail, even signed for deliveries! They then take weeks while they 'infestigate' why this takes so long when everything is scaned I have no idea? I now use alternative delivery companies that photograph their delivered items. Royalmail is not the service it used to be. Even their postboxs in my area are not collected every day, yet they still charge for first class - wrong!
A collection was scheduled between 10:46 and 14:46 today (25/9) but no show. I continued to wait at home in the vain hope that they would appear and at approx 16:35 I got an email to say that they had attempted to deliver my parcel at 16:20 but there had been no one at home. Blatant lie! I was in the front garden from 16:10 to the time I received the email and there was NO ONE from RM within sight of my home!
I now have to wait for them to come tomorrow. I complained to Amazon, who arranged the collection, and unfortunately there was no other option for me to return the item I bought but to use the RM
Collection service. Royal Mail has become the most unreliable and worst delivery service of today and I will never, out of choice, use them! RM Nottingham are a joke!
Royal Mail cutbacks and use of couriers, are making Royal Mail the most unreliable delivery service for parcels. They were always very reliable, now they are the worst, especially in the LU1 area. Doesn`t matter the service used, they will take the money for 24hr services even though your parcel won`t move for days.
Awful experience ordered something more than 3 weeks ago and still not arrived just sat at the sorting centre. Choose to go on strike during busiest times of the year. Get them gone! Ridiculous company. If I could give them no stars I would.
All our sacks of mail were collected and only 1 parcel from in those sacks has been scanned. So when you ask about the others they say we cant tell you as there is no tracking 3 hours later and still no-one can tell me where these sacks were taken to. I assume they know the dates they are striking for more pay.
I wish i could get paid for not doing my job.
Royal Fail must be the largest failing company in the UK, they sell a product called Tracked 48, but do not honour the name, their excuse for not delivering yet after 7 days is "It is an aim, not a guarantee" and when they don't know if the parcel has been lost/delivered wrongly or where it is, the Tracked part you pay for security, means absolutely nothing. Try and find a customer service person who gives a damn? They read robotic scripts and haven't a care or a clue. A total disgrace
Don't know the reason, change in procedures or change of postman, but the last few years I usually receive my main opened or at least tampered with. Magazines delivered in open envelopes obviously already read, worryingly bank statements and hospital letters similarly opened and read. Have reported the problem a few times, most recently today, but I expect nothing will change as previous complaints - have cancelled one of the magazines (which, the other is a music magazine), have reluctantly moved to digital bank statements. Given two of my xmas cards had obviously been tampered with (looking for cheques?), and letters from hospitals, it looks like it will continue to happen regardless of complaints. Happens with 50% of my general post, and most of the magazines (five of the last seven issues). In the old days they had proper complaints procedures, not now. It's not like you have a choice with letters, its royal mail or nothing, but the service has become poor since privatisation. Can not recommend, used to be so reliable, so sad.
My package was not delivered because I was out. They didn't left any card. The item was sent back to National Returns Center instead of the seller. The seller made a claim and they answered after more than 1 month to say that I could get my package back in maximum one month from delivery date. Absurd! Would put 0 stars if possible. Do not use this service!
Less than zero!
I left clear message directly to Royal Mail to leave parcel in secret place but instead I get 4h later message that I wasn't at home and they will do redelivery next day which I won't be at home again of course
Wtf!
Also if you want to call them there is no chance to get them, another option chat doesn't work as you talking to computer who piss you finally off or you get depression!
Customer service is terrible! Less than zero
My tracking number JY*******GB
OMG do not get me started with Royal Mail! I posted a package to my auntie in Holland a few months ago via Royal Mail Priority Airmail and it never reached her. When it came to filing the missing item report with RM, they took absolutely ages to process it and in the end, they didn't even reimburse me my full amount! Stay clear of these guys if you want to post something, or if you do, make sure you get insured delivery because if anything happens to your package along the way, they won't do anything about it. Absolute time wasters!
Royal Mail are as much use as a chocolate fireguard. They keep losing parcels that I order off eBay and Amazon. Their customer service is poor, and they never deliver on time. Why does Lingdale have such a poor service? The post doesn't arrive now until 3-4pm. Lingdale deserves a better service from Royal Mail. They used to be great a long time ago, but are now not fit for purpose!
Answer: You can't get hold of the customer services at Royal Mail, it's as if they couldn't be bothered. There not a very reliable service they don't turn up when they are booked to deliver a parcel (redeliver) which is not good. I have found other companies with a much better service and a better attitude towards customers. Royal Mail is not a good company.
