Dishonest
December 21, 2022

I purchased two pieces sectional and dining table in Dec 2021. Delivery went well but the dining chairs were installed incorrectly and damaged by the techs. We called and they sent two new techs out to repair it, who attempted to and then said the chairs were damaged beyond repair and replacements would be sent. After a month we were contacted and told they had discontinued that line and we couldn't get replacements. We were issued a credit and told to keep the set.
We returned and made another purchase with the store credit.
In early spring 2022 we were contacted via phone asking to schedule pick up of the broken dining set. I explained we had been revolve the issue of their breakage at our expense. The rep apologized and "noted the account" and hung up.
Rinse and repeat this conversation in April.
Now, a year later we have received an invoice for the broken table that we've already purchased and had repaired at our own expense. I was told that a credit should not have been issued if the table wasn't collected and as such we owe them for the price of the table.
I replied that I am not willing to pay for a broken table twice and they can come get it instead. I was told that it had been more than 48 hours from delivery and it was too late, I just had to pay.

So, even though MULTIPLE people within the Rooms To Go organization told us to keep the table AND a credit was issued without their taking it back into their possession, a full YEAR later I'm being asked to pay for the table (that their team broke) again.

In March of 2019, I purchased a "Top Grain Leather" sofa and loveseat for ~$2,600 and visibly it looked like real leather. Now a few years later in 2022, the leather is falling apart and flaking (images provided below). This appears to be some kind of fake leather, kind of like they are printing fake meat these days. I called customer care and they said that there is nothing they would to to help. The gave me an email *******@roomstogo.com, basically a shred bin for customer complaints. Even when I went back into the store, they would hot help me at all. So basically, the "leather" they sold me is a scam. People buy leather for its long term durability and because it breaks in with time and wears well. This didnt turn out that way as what they sold me is fake leather.

Poor customer service
December 11, 2022

The furniture is beautiful but customer service is so poor I immediately wanted to head to another furniture store during my first visit... First of all the system to pay on line is flawed and not customer friendly and you have to go in person to make a payment. Also when you go in to do business the sales agents just stare at you as if you fell off Mars, do not greet you, or offer assistance. There's an earry and uncomfortable feeling when you walk into the store due to the strange stares. This is the location at 707 Loop 410 in San Antonio, Texas. If there was a score lower than one I'd give it that...

Poor customer service Brookshire Tx location
November 22, 2022

We were looking for a couch and thought we had found what we wanted. Four days later we called the store to be sure that it was in stock. We drove over an hour to get to the store only to find out we could not pick the couch up even though it was in stock. We were told that it was due to shutting the warehouse down for new orders because they were backed up due to the holidays. We talked to the manager and he said yes he would not be able to make an exception. I told him if we can't pick it up, they just lost a sale. His response to my comment was well, Have a nice day and walked off.

I would not recommend or ever purchase anything from this company. This was the store in Brookshire, Texas. If they have, a pitiful customer service prior to the sale. I could only imagine what a nightmare it would be after I made my purchase.

Cheap Furniture
November 7, 2022

Be aware Rooms to Go furniture is cheaply made. 1.5 yes old and the springs and cushions are deteriorating and the warranty or store will cover. What a rip-off.

Delivery Disaster
October 31, 2022

I live on the fourth floor of a condo building. It has elevators, I told this to the salesman at Rooms to Go when ordering furniture.
One of the items was a fireplace TV console. With shelfs on either side of the console.
My scheduled delivery time was 10am with a four hour margin. The delivery truck came at 5:01 pm. They looked at the elevator and told me that they could not fit the console onto the elevator because it was only 7 feet high.
Then they told me that they could only climb up two flights of stairs and my unit was one flight higher. I told them to take it up to the level below me and I would take it from there. They told me no. If I damaged the furniture they would be held responsible.
However, they would deliver the items that would fit on the elevator.
I canceled the whole order. If you live in a high rise condo and there is no freight elevator then skip Rooms to Go.
PS other furniture delivered without incident by other companies include a sectional couch and the long section is 9' 11" long. Also by a different company a queen size pull out couch.

I bought the Robson sectional at R2G, sight unseen because they didn't have the model in the store and the set I wanted was too large for my room. Buyer's remorse big time! So cheap and gaudy looking. LESSON LEARNED!

Yesterday, I went into the Clearwater store and have to applaud the customer service of the sales person who assisted me. This was Celeste Esparza and provided responses to all my questions concerning a purchase of furniture. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks for the customer service!

I purchase a set of leather furniture from rooms to go Oct 22/2019. I purchased the extended warranty. I was told by the sales and financial customer service individuals, the leather would be covered for scratches, as long as they were from shoe heels or other shoes and not by animals. Well, I have shoe scratches. They also did not give me a copy of the warranty and said they would send me the information. They also did not have any leather cleaner in stock and said, would mail it to me. Well, they did not and I called 8 times. Remember how many times call cuz I was very frustrated? Now, they tell me they do not cover this type of damage. The couches scratched very easily, a couple of months after receiving them. I called twice to have someone come out and both times, they did not show up. This also happened at delivery, when they did not show up as scheduled and decided to do others pick up and drop-offs along the way. Now they do not show a service tech was to ever show. The warranty lady told me, they cover if food spills on the leather and about all and I have to try and get out with a leather cleaner they did not provide and requested, being told always out of the conditioner /cleaner. I do not have stains but have scratched and the leather is cheap. Top high grade, top grain leather, but the couches are black leather and the scratch shows white underneath and definitely not top grain.
The furniture is crappy and I could have paid less for top grain. Do not purchase the warranty. It does not cover anything worthwhile, as had in the past with other companies.

Our couch that has already been replaced ince is sagging in the middle on both sides... When they replaced this last one the guy that deluvered it said this couch has been nothing but problems... We are still paying for it and by the time we pay if off it will be trash... This couch is not used often due to large sagging spots... The guy said just be glad its no the Cindy Crawford collection... The 3rd party warrent company is terrible they come to your house and tell you one thing then deny your claims... Why even sell the couch if you have to replace springs on avery poorly put together set up... They knew!

Delivery and communication
September 16, 2022

I ordered a chair to match my existing sofa and had it scheduled for delivery 6th of September. I had a time frame of 8-12. I had to take my son to school and checked the tracking and they were up to order 3 and I was 5. I literally got home at 8.20am and the tracking still said it was up to delivery 3. Needless to say the driver said I wasn't home did not try to wait a matter of 5 minutes. Today is the 16th and I had to eventually contact Rooms to go to see when my chair was coming because they had not tried to contact me at all. Now they are saying it won't be delivered until October 25th. That is 3 months from when I ordered the chair. I got my furniture quicker during covid and lockdown. I would not order form them again due to the lack of courtesy and lack of communication. Bad form Rooms to go.

Worst Customer Experience
September 5, 2022

We wanted to take advantage of a Labor Day Sale at Rooms to Go in Tarpon Springs. It ended up being the worst experience in buying furniture that I have ever had. We first started by visiting the showroom to pick out what we wanted. The salesperson was new but seemed friendly. We spent 90 minutes picking out about $13,000 in furniture. We couldn't purchase at that time because we don't live in Florida and wanted to make sure of appropriate delivery dates. The rest was done on line and over the phone. The salesperson ended up sending us at least 5 different versions of our cart because they couldn't get the right configuration. The cart configuration was confusing and lumped all pricing together so you can't decipher what the cost was for individual pieces. After it was finally correct, we asked for a discount of tax and delivery. The warehouse is less that 10 minutes from where the furniture was to be delivered and they wanted to charge $500. The salesperson had a manager call us but only to tell us in a very rude manner that there was no discount at all. In fact, she said, "we sell to hotels at $100,000 a pop and we don't discount to them." We decided to purchase anyway because we didn't have much of a choice being that we don't live in Fl full time and wanted to take advantage of the sale. After calling back the next day, we spent an additional hour on the phone because the cart wasn't correct again. Once we agreed to purchase then and only then did they explain that the furniture was now not available on our delivery date after telling us all along that it was. So we had flights arranged to accept the delivery and now it was not available. No apologies were ever offered, just an entitlement that you should purchase from us. WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER.

Do not spend your $$ buying in rooms to go. Fortegra extended warranty company is the worst company ever. Their policy says that it covers everything mentioned above and when I call they tell me that it does not cover me because it only covers if it is a burn caused by tobacco or cigarettes. This is ridiculous

Do NOT purchase the insurance
August 22, 2022

If you can possibly help it do Not buy furniture from Rooms to go, its hit or miss if you can get replacement parts and the insurance doesn't cover anything useful. They didn't cover a damaged cord that wouldn't have been damaged if it would stay plugged on not would they replace a broken drawer pull and you also cannot buy the drawer part.

I purchase a sectional sofa from R2G 2 years ago with a 3 year warranty on the product.

May of 2022 I had a mechanical issue and submitted a claim to repair it under the purchased warranty through Guardian, a vendor of R2G. Its now Aug 2022 and the issue is still not resolved. I have spent over 40 hours on the phone with Guardian and R2G to get this issue fixed. Been told lie after lie and cannot believe a word out from either company. Disgusting level of customer service from both companies. Constantly told one thing, then another then another again. No resolution, no faith anything will be done at this point. Ask for repair, refund or resolution with no reply and constant run around.

I ordered a sofa that was delivered 10/29/21 to my home in GA. It went immediately onto a moving truck for a work apartment in Chicago. It was unloaded 11/4/21. It was a great, comfy couch for 9 months until the frame under one of the legs gave out. Note: I live alone & travel 60% of the time, so it was barely used. Rooms to Go is not honoring their warranty because 'it was moved from it's delivery location' - even though it was never used there. The supervisor said I can't prove it wasn't damaged in moving (which I can as I have photos of it in Chicago in perfect condition starting Nov 4,2021) and then she said it probably broke because people sat on it (well, it's a couch - true statement!). Unbelievable that they are not standing behind the quality of their furniture on a technicality and unbelievable that the sofa only lasted 9 months and was barely used!

Very Unhappy
August 10, 2022

From various delivery issues to items being extremely overpriced. Finally the correct item arrived but was to large for the space. Rooms to go would allow for an exchange of same value or if less had to make up the difference by purchasing other items I did not need or want. I did not see anything in the store I liked, so I settled due to their no refund policy. I m not a happy consumer! Their customer service sub par and I am now stuck with a sectional I do not want or too big for my space, along with very overpriced art work. I hate they do not allow for returns/ refunds. Will try and sell and go elsewhere. Doubt I will every go back to Rooms to Go
