I input my info in this App to rent a room in Central Florida and a woman called Shamaunee Lane, called me and meet with me in her apartment to show me the room I wanted to rent. She was charging $800 per month, so I paid her thru PayPal 1 month and deposit $1,600. Then she kicked me out of her apartment and did not give my money back.

It's annoying to create an account, read listings, send messages and THEN find out you have to pay to read any responses you receive. I wish I would've known upfront.
This is a scam. No one responds. There may be real ones mixed in. It's impossible to not get a single response from anyone. Those messages they want you to pay to see are broadcast sent to everyone who has signed up with this app. When there are this many of the same reviews, it's true.
I am sorry to learn that you are disappointed with our service but tens of thousands of our users have rented or rented out places via Roomster. I guess you are referring to our megaphone feature by broadcast. It is one of the feature that our customer loves as it allows them to ramp up their search.
It's so confusing. It asked me what i was looking for. I clicked a roommate. It doesn't tell me how to list my place to show my so others want to move in and be my roommate. I'd like to show photos and tell them about the rest of us that currently live here to try and find a match

If you notice that Sitejabber has negative reviews of almost every company doing business in the united states. If it was all true, there would be no business left and everyone would be out of work. People never write good reviews, people love to be negative. Its sad.
