The app just gets worse and worse

Thank Ring for making my life more complicated. I really appreciate all the hard work you've put into making your app the worst one available in the entire universe. Not only do you not allow me to see Live View at least half of the time, but you continually reset my camera settings back to "motion alerts" which makes my phone ring every time anyone moves! How glorious that we get audible verification of our every movement. I can't wait to know when I take a step outside! YOUR APP IS UNBELIEVABLY BAD! It's time to sell my cameras and go back to a CCTV system that works.

If i could give 0 stars I would. My husband passed away unexpectedly, and he was the account owner. I took over the account and wanted to continue using ring. I asked that they deactivate his account so it wouldn't renew automatically, and they refused! They said since i didn't have his login information that they couldn't do anything. Advised me to contact them for a credit if charged. Then said to dispute it with my credit card. They were not understanding at all and i cancelled all of my accounts with them and will be moving to nest. Do not recommend.

It doesn't even register when I go out to check for mail. If I get a notification, by the time it connects the person is in another time zone. IF it picks up the postperson, I see them by the mailbox and then it freezes and finally will pick up when they have reached the end of my 70 foot walkway going to the next house. HOWEVER if the wind blows or a truck goes down the street it will alert repeatedly. YES. I have adjusted the sensitivity and motion section areas -- probably weekly for over a year. It will detect a cat walking across my porch but not someone who rings the doorbell. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Changed my modem. In order for me to reconnect my doorbell the ONLY option is to entirely remove the doorbell from the outside of my home to locate the pin number required to reset this. Customer Service, SAM especially who claims to be a manager offered no help (for my protection) outside of that I will need to hire a handyman and pay them to assist me. What a ridiculous place to put this information. They should tell you in their product information to keep the box as this information will be required anytime you go off line. I was happy with this product until today and now I am without this protection. This SUCKA

1 1/2 weeks After I posted the negative review and returned the product back to Costco, I received a call from Andrez ( customer Service Dept.), he offered my a free Ring Video door bell and Chime with the one year free storage service, he did honor the offer and made a BIG difference in my perception of their company.
Now everything is connected and working fine.
Thank you Andrez, I do appreciate your efforts and pulling thru this bad situation for both of us.

They approach me via this site, they requested more info, I sent it, THEY DID NOTHING! The just not honor what they advertise on their products, apparently the left hand does Marketing and the Right one has no idea. 1 YEAR FREE VIDEO STORAGE, FREE VIDEO HISTORY, FREE VIDEO SHARING... FALSE IT'S A LIE!
They just answer politely to show that they care, They Don't!
I wasted more of my time answering their garbage message.
The product is going back to Costco, with a letter of dissatisfaction to upper Management.

Theyre telling me all the information online in my account is inaccurate and hasn't been updated and there is a delay till October 1. Seriously a 10-month delay in ordering a product? So even during Covid it wasn't as bad with ANY vendor I ordered from. Absolutely unacceptable that I had to be on the phone for hours, just to determine that my item which I paid for didn't ship even though it still says it will when in reality it is 10 months delayed.

The product is fine, but the processing system is definately broken.
I bought two ring cameras. I decided on a different ring camera, so I returned the two I no longer needed. Although ring received the cameras that were returned, they failed to return the money to my Paypal account. When I called regarding the order, they stated they had been quite overhelmed with returns, so it was nothing personal. Did I mention that they had the return for 58 DAYS! **Watch your credit card statements if you return items to ring. If I had not followed my statements, I am pretty sure they would continue to be overwhelmed with returns, and I would have never been reimbursed for the returned products.

Received faulty product, insisted problem was with my wifi, wanted me to ring my ISP... Despite the Ring device being the only issue. Expensive subscription for poor CS. Thanks for wasting an hour of my life Reham.

I needed to return three floodlight cameras because I decided to go with Ring spotlight cams. Got my return shipping label on 7/21 and still waiting as of 8/25 for credit on my credit card! Ring confirmed receipt of returned product on 7/27 but has given excuses such as Covid, warehouse issues, previous rep did not write a ticket, ticket was not escalated, person in the back office has to process credit. The "alleged" back office person processing my credit does not have a phone number or email available though! NEVER EVER AGAIN!

I lost my Ring Doorbell connection while overseas. After trying different FAQs suggestions, still no connection. Tried reinstall app as per FAQs, after new install unable to access it as needed verification code. Verification code sent to mobile but due to sim change unable to recieve as sent to UK sim. Spoke to Ring help agent's x 2. Wanted utility bills showing UK address. Tried showing, passport, driver's licence and medication details, all with address UK shown. Not accepted, utility bill only. Ask for verification code over phone, can't be done. I am paying a 1 year subscription for security that does not exists. Advice for Ring, don't touch them. I will be away from my home on the other side of the world and no security

I had a ring doorbell 2, it stopped working after a year. After a long conversation with Ring they finally agreed to send another one. Well after 1 1/2 hours reinstalling on the phone they couldn't get it working. Terrible product buy at your own peril.

Be careful Fraud

Be careful fraud. My advice is not to use the ring service, be careful, the company of scammers, I have not used the service for more than a year. I canceled the service by phone, but the ring continues to withdraw money from the card, I called the company, they told me that someone had opened a new email address.

Ring doorbell
June 9, 2021

Ordered Ring doorbell in April and had it installed by Ontech, their recommended installer. The device continually disconnects from my cell phone. Unfortunately I missed the 30 day return policy so now I have a paperweight. I was going to install the Ring camera with spotlight but wanted to wait to see how the doorbell worked. Glad I did otherwise I would have been screwed out of hundreds of dollars more. I wouldn't buy another Ring product and hopefully this review will deter other consumers from purchasing Ring products as you will be sorely disappointed. I'll write to the BBB to advise them about the crappy products they're selling but I'm out $100 for the paperweight and another $100 for the installation.

Althought I like the product I ordered a item by mistake and tried to cancel the order 2 minutes later. I called and talked to them, then waited on phone for 12 minutes. The customer service rep said just refuse the order or send it back. You wonder why these things cost so much. It's the stupidity of the company to waste this money as well as my time sending it back. I wonder how long before iget thecredit back on my card

Ordered a solar panel 5 days ago and never got shipping notification. When I got a hold of a human (chat) they apologized for the shipping department not notifying me these were out of stock. I asked to just cancel my order. Chat told me they cannot cancel my order until there is tracking information... and I 'should' get an email with my tracking information in 1-3 business days. Really? I did not get the first email, why would I get this email? I assume this email (if I get it) will be to let me know this is out of stock and they will (supposedly) email me when it ships. So I have to waste hours and track their incompetency to cancel my order.

Smooth talking customer service.
Ring does not work in large homes. Camera requires strong wifi which requires upgrade and professional installation. They lie about returns and refunds. You pay to mail equipment back. Took me 2 months, 4 phone calls, 1/2 hr to 1hr on phone each time and to date ring has not refunded my money. They lied about installation 20 mins to 2 hrs acutally meant 3-4 days! If equipment malfunctions you get to hold 1/2 hr on phone to then you get to trouble shoot equipment with incompetent con man #1, then you get handed off to a supervisor con man #2. An hour later you get to return equipment for exchange. But wait they must test it and deem it faulty... but you are not done yet they need to give you some tracking number nonsense etc., all for a $20 malfunctioning sensor!. Agonizing waste of time for equipment that dosen't work! I give these sails people a 5 star as con artist!

Inconsistent
December 17, 2017

I've been through 2 routers, I have excellent internet 100mg, but yet the RING keeps loosing the connection. I wish I would have read the reviews before getting this worthless security camera. I did only pay 1/2 because of the Black Friday Deal, went to return it and there was only a 15 day window, so now I am stuck with it!

Do you happen to a Ring Chime Pro Wifi extender? If so, your Chime Pro should hold a stable connection to your network. Losing power is by far the most common cause of network disconnection. This includes power surges and issues with the power connections. If the logo isn't glowing on your Chime Pro, try unplugging and plugging the unit back into the plug. It should restart immediately. Not worth the money. As a previous employee of ring i was able to get ring products at no cost. And i sold them(made sure to let the buyer know how they work) because there to much of a headache. Support is good but thats it. They are nit strong enough to stay connected to a network for extended periods of time, frequently disconnect and the video if longer than 10 sec starts to get grainey and pixilated. And thats the better part of the ring system. If there is anything to do with billing or shipping issues good luck. I worked for ring and i couldnt even talk to those departments. And trying to resolve an issue that no one has seen is impossible because departments dont talk to each other. Creat a ticket and hope for the best. Sorry you purchased this product

I ordered 2 floodlight cams to be delivered on May 24,2017 from may 18th is showed it shipped. Six days later it still had not left and still showed it shipped. After several calls'4 service requests and several e mails still no answer and no product. They consistantly lie and in my opinion should be prosecuted for fraud.
