I used Reservations.com when we were planning to visit Nashville. We are a family of musicians and we just wanted to explore the city. I liked that the site helped us find a good hotel near the attractions we wanted to visit.
I booked this accidentally. I thought I was on the Embassy Suites website as it was identical to the Hilton site. Even down to the logo. They also did not give me the confirmation numbers for the hotel so the hotel would not honor one of the rooms I had reserved. By the time we figured out what had happened the next day, the hotel had no rooms left. It was a fiasco and Reservations.com was negligent in not giving me the proper paperwork. The customer service for this booking site is literally non-existent! I have filed a claim with the BBB and may take this further and file formal charges. It is is fraudulent business practices and a scam.
I booked reservations for two nights to attend a wedding rehearsal dinner and a wedding the following day. I called customer support and cancelled my reservations due to COVID-19 restrictions and asked for a refund. I was told that they could not refund the money that they charged my credit card. However, they would refer it to management and the hotel and that I would hear from them in 7 to 10 days. That was 23 days ago and I've heard nothing but an email the following day that "customer support" would be looking into it. I have tried to call customer support only to be hung up on by a computerized voice. I would not under any circumstances use this company for anything!
My experience with this company is great.
For me, the best thing one service provide can offer and it is specifically what they sold to you.
This is my feelings about reservation.com.
I got exactly what I expected. No bad surprises, no extra payments and no fake pictures.
Great company. Trustable and serious work.
False advertising of hotel rates - charge a fee for booking a room. I will never book this hotel again through this website. This was suppose to be the hotels website and I thought I was booking through the hotel, instead I wound up with a $20 fee for using this. If I can I will be reporting it to the hotel when I visit and hopefully they will refund the money
Reserved a room online and it said reservation failed try again. Did it again and then it said I have 2 reservations. Called and they refused to cancel one. I paid $19.99 service fee twice and had 2 rooms for the same day for one person that I had to pay for. I could have gotten the same rate direct with the hotel without the $19.99 added on. Will never use again.
I reserved a hotel thru reservations.com. My sister booked the same hotel, for the same dates thru hotels.com. The night prior to our trip hotels.com called my sister letting her know the hotel had no water pressure, and they thought she needed to cancel her reservation. Hotels.com handled the notification to her and the cancellation. What great service she received. I called reservations.com and they wanted to charge half of my costs in cancellation fees. They would not and did not contact the hotel to see that they did have a problem. I called the hotel, they confirmed the issue and absolutely agreed I did not have to pay cancel fees since it was the fault of the hotel. I gave the name and number to the rep. I still have not received a confirmation of the cancellation. Horrible that I had to do her job for her. I believe the reps only can read from the script. From this point forward I will only use hotels.com!
I just booked a stay at the Deer Lodge at Lake Louise, Canada, with reservations.com. The cost for a nights stay is $334. No problem from my point of view. However that is what the hotel costs in Canadian dollars. Reservations.com chargers the same price in American dollars. 30% more than the actual cost of the hotel room if booked through the hotel.
No recourse no cancellation.
Worst site to make reservations. I thought I booked with the hotel directly and apparently not. I booked the hotel and the wrong dates came back on my email confirm. Had to cancel and they still charged me $14.99. They even went so far to tell me it's my fault for using their web site and there's a $14.99 disclaimer. AWEFUL customer service and travel site. In the end it was my mistake because I should have used American Express in the first place.
They will overcharge you to book a reservation plus charge a reservation fee and they will steal your money if you decide to cancel a reservation and I've tried to call them several times and they will not pick up their phone. Nothing but thieves worthless service
Like many other people, I thought I was making a reservation through the hotel's site, until I noticed the price was quite high. I cancelled the reservation and Reservations.com refused to refund the $14.99 fee they charged even though I cancelled the day after I made the reservation. Even without their fee their prices were considerably higher than the hotel site. CROOKS!
Just finished booking a room in Toronto on this site. Upon completing the reservation it shows for the first time clearly that I am paying in US dollars instead of CAN for a hotel in Canada! I call immediately to cancel the reservation and I cannot cancel without a penalty of one night stay plus taxes! I feel scammed!
I thought I was on the Ramada website, they trick you! You can't make any changes and they keep your money if you can't come, no credit for the future! Nothing! And when I did book it through the Ramada Website it was cheaper!
Last week I booked a room by calling reservations. Com from a rest stop in Idaho. I thought I was calling the hotel directly, turned out not to be the case. The agent confirmed all the details over the phone correctly. After being in the car for 11 hours, we get to the hotel and there was no reservation. They had booked the hotel in another city, hundreds of miles from my location! After considerable effort, the reservation was canceled and I was refunded the amount of the room. I am still trying to get the $14.99 "service fee" refunded. I should not have to pay for a service that I was not provided! It is unfortunate that there are so many reviews like this.
This company is terrible! I canceled my reservation at least 2 weeks before I was scheduled to go on a business trip in early April and I am still waiting for my refund. I will NEVER use this service again and wouldn't recommend them to make reservation for your dog let alone for a person. They are by far the worst travel company I have ever dealt with
The website was confusing and I made a reservation not knowing I wasn't on the hotel website. I immediately called to cancel and after two weeks of the run around they refused to refund any money - I am out over $1000 dollars! Rip off
My girlfriend and I are in a long distance relationship right now because of my work and I come home once a month. We love to do staycations and Reservations.com has helped us a lot! Room rates are reasonable and booking process is easy!
Wish I would have sought out reviews prior to booking as I had the same experience others reported. During the booking it was very difficult to understand the individual booking my request. I asked if there were fees connected and it was my impression there were not. However, realizing they were charging far more than the actual Hotel that we ended up booking with shortly after hanging up with Reservations.com, they (Reservations.com) did cancel the reservation I made with them but I was still charged the $40.97 fee that I wasn't aware of until I printed the reservation. Do not use this company. They do not have the best price and they are only in it for the fees.
Web site is a complete scam do not use! They overcharge you on nightly fees which do not exist for the hotel and do not advise that you can't cancel the reservation without a nights charge. In fact they state in the reservation confirmation that you had to cancel the day before you made the reservation to be only the 19.99 fee. Ridiculous, do not use.
I reserved a hotel room with this group. The listed cost on the Internet was $ 64. After paying for the room, the charge was $ 110. I called to cancel the reservation immediately and was told the payment was non-refundable.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
