I used the Comfort Suites website thinking it would be the most direct and least expensive option. Only after I had booked the room did I realize that this bunch of thieves... Reservations.com... had added $20 to the cost of the reservation (which represented 20% of the cost of the room). Calling them to cancel revealed that they would keep the $20 no matter what. And, what service are they providing? Handling the reservations for the hotel? But, who is paying for that? You and me. I will NEVER stay at a Comfort Suites again, and I will DEFINITELY look carefully before clicking "purchase" to make sure Reservations.com hasn't ripped me off!
I made a reservation at reservations.com. We wanted two rooms for 6 people. One room went through, the other room did not go through. Credit card company thought it was a fraud so would not accept the charge. Tried cancelling out of the reservation for one room. Was transferred to another person. Was told the confirmation number was the same for both the reservation and cancellation. When looking at their website, it appears that I never made a reservation. A charge is still pending on credit card website. Called reservations.com and was informed that we would have to file a claim with our credit card company. Do not do business with this company. They also charge a $14.99 service fee which is not refundable. Do not tell you upfront about the fee.
Reservations.com is one site you can trust. It's 100% legit, trust me. I've booked through their site a couple of times already after my successful first try. Got a good deal on a good hotel and been going back to their site again and again for future bookings.
I travel quite a bit because of the nature of my work and yes I've used Reservations.com so you can trust my experience. You'd think hotel deals run out but so far that I've used this site, there's always a good deal to get you excited to travel.
Called customer support and the submitted to their billing department.
Rejected cancellation with the excuse that they could not reach the hotel owner to cancel the reservation.
Called the hotel owner directly. They were still holding the room. And he doesn't get paid until I check in.
So these scam artists are going to screw me and the hotel owner out of the this booking.
Contact your state's attorney general - this is fraud!
My husband thought he was booking through Courtyard Marriott directly and accidently booked through Reservations.com
2 days before travel he tore retina in eye and was unable to travel due to surgery.
Marriott allows you to cancel up to 24 hours in advance but this company would not allow us to cancel and charged for the full weeks reservation.
Do not use this company!
Don't use this service, call the Hotel direct. They make it seem like the hotel is almost full so you hurry up and give them your credit card with no refund. In my case the hotel was maybe 1/2 full and i spent about $100.00 to much, so call the hotel direct and check other hotels around because it will seem like the other hotels are full which where not. Lot of these services are out of the US, support our country not there's.
Buyer beware! Be very careful when you book online and make sure you're booking from the hotel you want to stay at, and not with this ridiculous "service" 3x the price of walking up to the front desk and registering the day of your stay. Never ever again.
No customer service just placed you on hold to hung up on you. Bad website to cancel/modify your reservation but fast to take payment and "book" you. Just stay away from this website and go with someone else... literally any one else but this place
I have purchased 2 reservations for my workers. I received the confirmation by email but I needed to have an official invoice with the details of the taxes and their Government tax number. I called twice and they hang up and when I asked by email they said they can not provide invoice other than the email I received. When I asked for at least their taxes number they never answer back.
What the hell. This third pary joke charged $400 for the room when it would have been $300 if I just called the motel itself (which I thought I did). When I looked up the motel online, reservations.scum bullied their way right up to the top of the list making you think this is actually the motel. Not only that, they stated there was only one room still left... after calling the motel, there was actually 6 rooms left. I cancelled due to a change of plans and they took me for $40. They are why life sucks sometimes!
Shortly after booking, my family called to say they were planning a memorial service for my mom who died 3 months ago; Due to Covid, we could not have a regular funeral service, as my dad who is 93 is still with us; I contacted them asking to please cancel my reservation, (which is over 6 months away) as I needed to attend my moms funeral service. They refused. What kind of almighty dollar grubbing insensitive human beings do this? They still have plenty of time to re-sell that reservation, 6 months out, with a huge Garth Brooks concert next to it. Consider very carefully what you are about to do if you book with them. Additionally, they added about $150.00 in fees on to the advertised price of the room.
A warning especially for the unseasoned traveler. I was on the website of the hotel I wanted to book. I dont know how it worked, but unbeknownst to me, Reservations.com had slipped in there. When I called the hotel directly to ask if I could add the discount code I received. The answer was yes, if you had booked through us. No to you who booked with Expedia." When I checked in a person at the counter mentioned my reservation was through Expedia.
Now to the concern. The reservation I made March 27,2018, resulted in a charge of $766.43 for 3 nights. The charge was processed next day. My reservation was for this past weekend. When I checked out, June 3, I received a room statement of $570.27. The difference$181.
No refund! No supervisor to speak to! The agent just kept reading their policy of no refunds. I have yet to find that policy as it is not on my printed receipt.
So just be careful when you book your travels and by all means avoid reservations.com.

I booked my hotel room for my upcoming to Atlanta from Reservation.com, not knowing that they will charge me fee for booking thru their site. I will be using expedia or trip advisor for my trips in the future.
Represented themselves as the hotel. When I called to cancel less than an hour later for a reservation over a month away they told me no cancellation. When I rebooked through the hotel at the same nightly rate, it was 100.00 cheaper. No explanation for fees. Letting my credit card company dispute the charges
I booked with them twice. The second time they charged me about 35%over the room tate indicating that this is NY state tax and fees which proved to be false.
On the third time they rushed me to makr a booking with extra amount than announced. I told them that I will think of it, but agent was pushing to have the deal done. I insisted not to confirm the booking and went directly to the hotel. The hotel gave me the lower rate without the extra charges claimed by Reservations.com.
I am disappointed with their service and dishonesty.
I made a reservation and right after I did it, I realized we had a conflict so I called and cancelled it. They still charged me a $14.99 Fee for nothing. Will never use them again! Stick to booking direct or a more reputable company.
My conference was cancelled due COVID in March... at Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles... we were restricted from traveling and this hotel would NOT issue a refund or even a credit for my stay reserved through Reservations.com. I was forced to cancel this reservation due to a global pandemic... This was part of a large group... I have let Kevin Ward know I will not be attending any future conferences scheduled at this hotel. $600 GONE...
My hotel gave me a credit for two nights. Since I booked with Reservations.com, they receive the refund from the hotel. It has been four months and I have not received the refund. Basically what this company does is they tell you there going to issue the refund and hope that after four months your just going to give up and they get to keep your refund. There customer service is extremely poor. Do not use this company for your travel arrangements!
Do not use this website. Booked 2 night stay in florida thinking i was on hotels website and they booked me the wrong room and after 2 hours on the phone said. SORRY... nothing we can do for you! Will not refund your money! BEWARE
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
