Booked a room for 4 days. Told the reservations.com rep I will probably be checking out after 2 days due to the fires in Redding Ca. No problem they said but may be subject to a penalty of $14. In short, I checked out early and they charged me for the entire 4 days. Reservations.com won't refund my money. I complained and was told they will reopen the file and look into it. Waiting on a response from them. (Be advised, I followed every early check out rule they had and still this became a problem... HUMMMMMMM.) I'll let everyone know how this turns out.
Was in Boston for a business trip but had extra days to kill. Reservations.com got me a good hotel that made it easy for me to explore a bit of the city. Was surprised at the hotel deals they offered. I recommend this booking site.
The previous revers are correct. Reservation.com is a FRAUD. They charge a $14.99 that only shows up after your booking is confirm and you are not told about it. I cancelled my booking with in 24 hours, first they did not want to cancel the booking. It took over an hour and they initially refused to give the cancellation in writing.
They bill the $14,99 separate from the hotel fee so if you are not paying attention to your credit card statement, you will not notice. I am now disputing it through the credit card company.
The phone # I called routed me to this company. It was a horrible experience. This company is working with the Emerald Suites to scam hard working people. All the other comments are 100%true and reservation.com should be held responsible for full refunds to all.
When I received the accounting of the bill, which was immediately charged to my credit card there was a HUGE hidden fee added. When we arrived a the hotel the rooms I paid for were not available nor were they available at the time the reservation was made. When I went the Website fro Reservation.com there was no service. Do not get ripped of by this fake server as I did.
My work schedule was modified; by internet and by phone with your support, it was impossible to modify my days or exchange my no used days to another work travel.
So your poor services forced me to pay for a 2 weeks of work travel even if I used only 4 days because cancellation from my client.
I will probably don't use your services again and I will not recommend you.
I landed in Denver and was on the phone for 2 hours while they kept finding me rooms... they kept booking it making me wait 15-20 minutes and then telling me they lost the reservation. Finally they found one and took my credit card information for the sixth time and booked my room. I called for a shuttle and the said there were no rooms... reservations.com had sold me a room that did not exist. Then I spent more time on the phone trying to get my credit card reimbursed. I spent the night on the floor of the airport because after two hours of $#*!ering all the hotel rooms were booked. Terrible company with awful customer service. They hung up 3 times and when I called back we started it all again. I asked to speak to the head person and got the same person twice got disconnected from him the first time and he did not return my call even though they had my number. Run away before using them.
The sight was deceptive in not naking it clear that full amount would be charged immediately. Also, there was no mention of a fee. I cancelled immediately when I saw full immediate charge. Within minute. Still had to pay almost 20$ Fee.
Not pleased!
If you're not sure where to stay Reservations.com will really help. Finding a hotel to stay in a new place can be scary but with this booking site, you can check prices and reviews before booking so you get a better choice.
I am canadian and I booked a canadian motel from a canadian address, reservations. Com website charged me in USD (without their website advising that they were doing so). Once the motel was confirmed, they then sent me an email advising that the charges were in USD (even though this canadian was booking a room in Canada), and the receipt said that no refunds or cancellations would be accepted. I did not have time to wait by my computer to contact them because I had 600 kms to drive to get to motel, When I got to the motel, the manager said that reservations.com purchased the room from Expedia and that they could not do anything to help me. I stayed at the motel (no choice) and contacted reservations.com when I later got home. They refused to refund the difference between USD and CND dollars, so, I ended up paying approximately 80.00 more than if I had booked the room directly with the motel (or Expedia?)
From searching to booking to checking out, Reservations.com is really easy to use. I like that they offer a lot of hotels for you to choose from and usually these hotels are offered at discounted prices so it's really a good deal.
This company is flagged on the Better Business Bureu for their BS service fee (which is not apparent when you make the reservation. Save yourself 20$ and use another service like kayak or Expedia. Can't believe this kind of predatory business is even legal.
I will be highly discouraged to book hotels through this portal. You will run pillar to post for changes and you will write till eternity but they will just avoid solving the problem. A simple thing like cancellation: they pass the ball.
I ended up paying 95.00 more for a two night stay than if I had booked the reservation with the actual hotel. Then they added a 19.99 fee.
DON"T book with these people
I only gave 1 star because I couldn't do '0" stars
I realized after getting t ok the end that I was in the wrong site. I booked my reservation the room was 162. After the added fees ohhh and their invisible fees it came out to 283.03. This company needs to be shut down. I reported them to the BBB. The company said they would refund me 40.00. Their policy states that 14.00 us the refund fee.
How do companies stay in business like this. I am adding this to my Facebook and Instagram page.
Hope this helps someone else.
I attempted to book two hotel rooms and was quoted the type and availability. Then when the agent went to reserve them she split it into two reservations and it kept failing; this was because the room was no longer available. Then I had to cancel the one she had already processed and it could take between 7-30 days to get my money back. That evening I reviewed my credit card and had 5 pending $19.99 charges. When I called to get them removed I was told 4 would fall off they were just holds but one would stay because I did make a reservation. I said that it was an error and I should not be charged and she said it was non-refundable. They stole $19.99 from me because the agent was into mow tent. When I asked to speak to a manager she just kept repeating it was non-refundable. I was never informed that there would be a service fee to begin with. Watch out!
I looked online to reserve a room, but didn't see an option for the AAA rate. I called the number, which was a reservations.com number, to see if I could find out the AAA rate. My mistake was staying on the phone when they said "no we can only offer this rate at this time". Long story short, it took me 20 minutes to finally book a room. They never once mentioned that there would be a $15 non refundable service fee. I looked online at a different website a day later and found the AAA rate, and booked the room for much cheaper, in TWO MINUTES. I was able to get a refund, but they stole my $15 for that service fee, and stole 20 minutes of my life. Just look online elsewhere, this website and service center is garbage.
I made the mistake of booking with this company and called to cancel my reservation which they confirmed it was cancelled and that I would receive my refund as the cancellation was done on time. Well 20 days later and after many many calls and false promises which did not go anywhere, I never received the promised refund. The last call alone last was over 2 hours with them on the phone and on hold! At the end I think they just put you on hold and make up the excuses and they truly are not doing anything to resolve the issue for you. They gave me a supposed confirmation number that was useless. I had to dispute the original charge with my credit card.
DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS Reservations.com
Call before I made reservation and asked if I could make change once I got final schedule. Customer service rep told me yes, just call. I called 3 days before arrival and was told no changes. Non refundable. Never, ever, under and circumstances use this service. Located off-shore and unwilling to make a one day change. BBB will be contacted as well.
BEWARE Transaction Fees!
I searched for the hotel using Google. The first item on the list was hotel.reservations.com. I clicked and thought I was on the hotel web site. Nope, just looks that way. I created a reservation and nowhere was alerted to a Service Fee of $19.99 per reservation. When that came in separately from the hotel charge, I cancelled the reservation and asked for a return of the reservation fee. They refused. Visa also declined to reverse the charge because there is a statement (many pages below the first page) that indicates the charge is non-refundable.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
