They are almost a total scam. We accidentally made a double booking with them at a Hyatt Hotel. When I tried to cancel one of the reservations five days before our stay, I was told the entire charge was non-refundable. This was not communicated in the initial online reservation. In addition they charged $100.00 more for the same exact room and night than was charged for the second reservation. Plus they charged a $19.95 booking fee...also non-refundable. I then called the hotel directly and cancelled the reservation but was told they could not give me a cancellation number and that Reservations.com would have to call the hotel to confirm cancellation in order for me to receive a refund. A call back to R.com was unsuccessful as they said I needed a cancellation number from the hotel. Catch 22? Also, they make their web address look like you are dealing directly with the hotel company.
We have referred this to our credit card company who is disputing the charge.
Reservations.com "Customer Care" is refusing to refund the double-charge even after I submitted a dispute. Navajoland Hotel should be advised to discontinue using Reservations.com because their customers will be double charged and will not be refunded.
My wife thought that she was at the website for Wyndam. Unfortunately, she was on reservations.com. As she was finishing up, she noticed the room rate total, and it was substantially higher than the initial quote. She then called reservations.com and explained the situation. This reservation was for six weeks out. The reservations.com agent informed her that the entire amount was non-refundable.The website is fraudulent. Save your money. Please don't be fleeced by these crooks.
My best friend tested positive for Covid the day before our stay. The hotel was willing to change our reservations, reservation.com said they just needed confirmation from the hotel. They told me they had to get confirmation by e-mail, it will be no problem and I should check back in 24 hours. This was on a Friday. I called back the following week and was told they will not refund me without documentation for a positive Covid test. Why didn't anyone mention this the first time I called? After being disconnected three separate times and speaking with four different people, every time I call back I have to explain the whole situation again, to be put on hold and then disconnected again. This went on for over 3 hours. I now refuse to make reservations online, only by phone with the desired hotel. Not to mention they wrecked my besties birthday celebration by keeping my $300.00!
I booked with them under the false pretense that they were with Marriott. They overcharged me by $85 and have refused to refund me the difference. I'm not sure how this company is in business. I have talked with several people and they don't care. I'm filing a report with the FCC and contacting my attorney. Just awful!
Being parent to a dog makes traveling quite difficult sometimes especially because I need to bring my dog with me. When my family wanted to stay in Aspen for the holidays we had to look for a hotel that was pet-friendly. Glad Reservations.com pulled through for me. Our hotel was so close to the ski lift as well!
Booking at Reservations.com is the efficient way to get most out of your vacation. By using their site, you get to choose from a long list of hotels that fits your budget. Or if you are lucky enough, you can find a 4 or 5 star hotel at a discounted price! Be wise, be smart book at reservations.com!
Went to what appeared to be Hyatt website only to find out later that I was somehow on the reservations.com site. Only after trying to change the reservation did I learn that it was not Hyatt's site, my card had been charged both for $117 for one night's stay and $64 for "service fee" neither refundable if reservation was cancelled. Their site masqueraded as Hyatt and sucked me in as a non-savvy guy. I feel I got ripped off.
I unknowingly booked a reservation through this company and have been waiting for 3 months for my credit, which was authorized by the hotel. Customer service is horrendous to say the least, I have made over 7 calls. They only provide you with canned responses to questions and won't give any phone numbers out of people with authority. I can't even get someone to give me a phone number in the United States to deal with.
I have reported to BBB and found hundreds and hundreds of more complaints.
This is apparently a corrupt and fraudulent company and I can only hope they are out of business soon.
Reservations.com lurks on hotel websites then coops the apparent hotel direct number.
You expect to be booking directly with the hotel only to discover that you have been redirected
Not realizing this we booked a hotel and we were charged both by Reservation.com and the hotel. Reservation.com didn't pay the hotel so we're charged a second time. We have spent hours on the phone to no avail. Avoid using reservations.com! Perhaps your first question should be is this reservations.com if they answer to the affirmative hang up and try again.
Charged me the full amount for a 3 day hotel stay 1 month ahead of time. I canceled within a couple of hours on the same day, again 1 month ahead of time. They refused to refund me, saying the reservation was non-refundable. I called the hotel and the reservation never even got through to them. So what service did I pay for? Apparently for Reservations.com to pocket my money and deliver nothing. I am disputing this with the credit card company (Citibank) to get this scam reversed!
Will never use this site again, got to it by mistake and thought I was contacting the hotel chain (Wyndham) reservation system. Just made the reservation today. Reservations.com charged me 19.99 each for two reservations with 2 rooms on each reservation. At the least, why couldn't they combine my 4 rooms for a family reunion into one reservation so I would be charged only one 19.99 fee? A site not to be trusted!
We showed up to a location and there was no sheets, pillows or blankets on a bed and the bed was hanging off of the frame.
Please read the fine print when working with this company as we wrote them an email requesting a refund and turns out they do not give them no matter what.
They indicated that due to the unique policy we agreed to, we couldn't get a refund.
We were out 190.00 USD. Hopefully this message will save someone else money as they won't have to make the same mistake and can choose a different company to book through.
Additionally we informed them the roomed smelled completely of mold and was unsafe.
Ensure you read their 'unique' no refund no matter what policy.
Yep, I too was scammed by reservations.com. I am an experienced (and careful) traveller but they got me for a bunch of extra bogus charges plus an additional $14.99. I disputed the $14.99 with Amex and they credited my account almost immediately. So AmEx is apparently on to this scam. This is a tricky and dishonest company that needs to be shut down.
We used this service and noticed that we were in the wrong month when we booked our reservation so called them immediately and were told that this was a non- refundable reservation and they could not help us. There was absolutely not grace for an erroneous mistake. We will contest the credit card charge as this seems to be our only recourse. BEWARE if you should decide to use this service. We will never use them again and wouldn't want anyone else to have to go through what we went through... numerous phone calls, one to the manager, and all the same response. This is very poor and a major rip off!
Never book on this website. Hidden fee and taxes. The room cost is $49 but tax $15 and fee $15. We should make complaint to consumer affair. The customer service "Ray" told me to speak to booking.com but after speaking to booking.com. My reservation was not related from booking.com but this guy did not want to be responsible for anything.
Bad customer service, every time I called to solve my issue never get done. They just open a ticket and no one is getting back? They just like to charge you, but not refund?
I canceled my reservation before and they just refunded some money and I'm still wafting for the rest?
Not sure who should I report? I will give them ZERO
Beware of booking with this company. Called to cancel my reservation within five minutes of booking when I realized they had taken $1200 out of my credit card plus a $14.99 booking fee. Was told it would take 8 to ten days for a refund even though they were able to take my money within five minutes. Booking fee was non refundable. No mention of booking fee until the reservation is complete
Scam in its purest form. Leads you to believe youve made reservation through the hotel directly, only to find out you did not! Then in small print is the 19.99 processing fee. When I called to inquire, I was hung up on. I called back and was told I would receive a refund of the fee within 24 hours... crickets.
Pretty damn shady!
Thought I was on the Ramada site - thanks Google for putting these criminals on the top of my search - selected my one night stay. Get my confirmation - they billed me for 10 days at $848. Called to cancel and was told there's a $70 fee to cancel. This is on Google allowing them to look like the corporate site and putting this scam of a website on top of their search results.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
