They charge a non-refundable service fee as well as overcharge on taxes. Then when you cancel they offer you a 10% discount to keep your registration, which is overpriced. They basically are getting people who don't look closely on the link they click. I've travel for 40 years and they fooled me.
If I want to allow future travelers benefit from my experience I can say that I did a lot of research before taking action, I asked friends and colleague if they heard about that company. My conclusion is we all have different taste and point of view, but to make my conclusion short, make sure you take at least 1 week to analyze the deals and don't worry about the rest, you will get what you paid for
Very much enjoyed our recent stay at the Colorado Belle. Always appreciate the efficient check-in, good service at the various venues at the Belle and it's proximity to other venues in Laughlin. Expect we will be back again in fairly short order. Please keep a light on for us. Thanks. Wolf Boehm
I echo the other reviewers. Room said $129. Credit card was charged $178. $50 service fee? I am livid. I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and I'm going to get my credit card company to dispute the charge. I called reservations.com to cancel and they told me I had purchased a non-refundable reservation. There was no warning at all it was non-refundable. There was no warning there would be a $50 service charge. Hard to believe they can purchase their position on Google, make it look like the legitimate hotel web site and then charge that much.
Very dubious business practice of hiding behind legitimate hotel web sites, and non refundable fees even upon proper cancellation. Then they offer to waive the non refundable amount if you decide not to cancel on condition you agree to a non refundable booking. Bait and switch ransom like practice. How many unsuspecting clients can they lure? Shopper beware!
Tried to change my hotel reservation 3 hours after I made them for another hotel down the street. Website said outside pool. When we arrived pool was closed due to chemical needs. Reservation.com would not transfer my reservation to another Hampton Inn with indoor pool. 5 mile down street. My 5 year old granddaughter is in tears. I'm furious. Spent 30 mins on hold to speak to a manager without contact. Do NOT use this website. Speak directly to hotel.
Amazing company, this is just an amazing place to be, the rooms are spotless and it is located in a nice part of the town with so, many amenities just bin case you want to look around. I will be coming again soon. Highly recommended
I thought I was booking through the hotel but I had not paid close enough attention. It was through this website. There were all kinds of extra fees charged so I decided to cancel my reservation within a minute of making the reservation. They charged me $23.00 just to make the reservation which is non-refundable and told me it will take 10-15 days for the money to get back on my card. This place should be taken out of business.
Buyer beware, total scam going on here. They trick you into using their website thinking you are using the hotel web site. Hotel will not give you a receipt, must get it from them. Ridiculous service fee AND not refundable or changeable.
WHY would you use this service, look at the reviews, read them carefully.
Scam artists first order. Liars, thieves and worse. Their MO is to redirect your inquiry from a legit provider (say a known hotel chain) and then tack on charges, all the while pretending they are the actual entity you were trying to do business with. They're sneaky and can catch out even a careful person.
You can successfully dispute their charges with your card provider, but you need to act promptly.
I'm not a very techy person but I do know my fair share. When my friend told me about reservations.com. I was hesitant at first to use it because it might turn out too complicated but it turned out I was wrong. You just need to put in the details that are asked of you and then you're given a list of hotels to choose from! I've heard about other booking sites but this is the first one I used and I'm not disappointed!
Booked a Hotel Room for one night: price 279$. Then got slapped with almost 80$ additional, without no warning, only AFTER I had hit the pay button. Of course, the whole thing is non refundable, and there was no live agent to take my call when I complained. Never again!
No customer service. Made an error on book two hotel rooms. Called customer service immediately. Could not amend or change in any way. Could not do anything. Did not offer any assistance. Just didn't care. Had the money and could care less. I made the mistake of making the reservation with them. I thought I was on the hotel website. Won't do that again. Booking.com is so much better. Only giving one star since I can't leave this review with no stars.
I want to book a hotel online, then my friend suggested this site. I was really easy and hassle free. They give me best customer service. My booking experience is very well with this site. Everybody should try this site. Thank you.
I never expected booking a hotel online would be so easy and hassle free. I was referred to Reservations.com by a friend and I have no regrets. Highly recommended
Thought I was booking directly with hotel (Ramada) but did not. Have to cancel 1 nite of 3 and front desk advised I booked via Expedia. Thought that was odd... then looked more closely at confirmation. Bad on me.
Hotel said no issue with cancelling... called customer service and after 10 minutes of talking and being put on hold so they could confirm with front desk... he comes on and says system is down and to call back. Not them call me back... I have to call them... but in 2 hours.
I can see where this is going. Also realized billing is in US funds not Canadian, where I live and booked hotel for.
Booked different hotel earlier in the week with Travelocity... so much easier and better... And also transparent I was using them. No issue but anytime I had changes in the past they were great.
This change likely wont be good or easy with Reservations.com. Will be first and only use of them. TERRIBLE

They added in a ton of tax and fees. $297 room ended up being $424. Thought I was on hotel website. Hotel website charged only $353 for $296 room with tax and fees. I tried to cancel & was prepared to pay the $35 processing fee but they said the whole amount was nonrefundable. Do not make your reservations through reservations.con
They are crooks. I am out $1880 plus the $14.95 service charge on top of that. I don't understand how they can get away with it because I had no idea I was even dealing with them. I stay in hotels 20-25 nights a year and have never had an experience like this. How can they continue to get away with this when there are so many horrible experiences posted on multiple websites?
Don't ever use reservations.com. They claim they are the hotel and have no customer service. My hotel closed so we could not keep the reservation, nor should I pay for a hotel I cant stay at. Finally after months I was told I would get refund but they we're keeping the fees. Well it has been over a month and still no credit back. They are not helpful and try and blame on credit card company. Funny all other transactions happen with credit card company. I plan to call them daily until I receive my credit. Please use the hotel for booking not reservations. Com as they are a bunch of scammers.
1. Their site looks like the actual hotel/lodge site, but you are at Reservations.com site.
2. Be aware of additional charges.
I paid additional $162.23 to book through for two nights by booking through Reservations.com
This is the worst service ever. Completely don't recommend booking through them. After 5 times calling them and asking to send a confirmation number, there is still nothing from them. I've ask a supervisor to call me back so I get my full refund as I was over charge by 60% when I've receive my cc statement and turned out be be way more expensive then what was agreed on and never got a call from them. Now I'm at the point where I'll have to call my cc company and flag them as fraud since all I've got from them so far is a talking to a representative over there without any kind of proof.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
