The agent that I booked with went above and beyond and very patiently to help me understand everything. I have migraines and was in the middle of an on optical migraine, I went through 2 booking agents, the first one was not so caring and patient and I seriously felt like he hung up on me because I just couldn't understand. I had stated to the first agent the price that was available on a third party app and asked if Tru would honor that price. I was told no but if I booked through the third party at the lower price, when I checked in I would be charged an additional fee that would give kraise it to the price that Tru charges. It didn't make sense to me. I was told by the first agent it was taxes and fees. I tried to explain the 3rd parties final price states all taxes and fees were included and I was very polite, I explained and apologized for not understanding. Hopefully it's recorded. I felt he was getting irritated and then hung up. The second agent whom actually booked the stay was very helpful and understanding and explained that there were parking fees, resort fees etc that 3rd parties do not profit from so therefore they do not charge, those fees are billed directly from the Hotel! That I understood, I had not been told about parking and resort fees up until that point. Either way, I still chose to book & stay with Tru, I just don't like feeling that because I couldn't understand something I was hung up on…

This reservation was made specifically because it was refundable and able to be canceled up to October 7. When I called to cancel an hour later because of the lack of handicapped shuttle service to Port Liberty I was told the $709 reservation for a single night was non refundable.
The situation is under review and I am hoping it can be resolved to a mutual benefit.

Reserved 2 rooms with 2 queen beds for 4 people. I was told that's what reserved. Got to the hotel and I had 2 king bed rooms. Not what I reserved and was charged $523. Not good business. I'm telling everyone I know not to use you

Took me 30 minutes to talk to three hotels that kept me on hold, but only took about two minutes with Jose to get me booked in the hotel that's within 30 minutes of my project site. Highly recommend the service, it's really impressive.

Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
