I went the reservations website POSING as the hotel to make my reservations for an upcoming wedding. I followed all instructions and when I found the 2 queen bed suite I wanted, I pushed the reserve button. I filled in all my credit card info and when I received my confirmation page I noticed they put me down for a standard room. I immediately called the number telling them they gave me the wrong room plus they even charged me more than the standard room was advertised at. They would not budge. I emailedno apologiesonly they would try to cancel but I would still be charged. Let them know what I wanted them to do. I called the local hotel and they couldn't do anything until I got to the hotel and if they had a suite I could upgrade. I'm just sick not knowing what I'm going to get. Then I noticed they have already charged me for that room plus a $19.99 service fee that was not mentioned before I made the reservations. I'll NEVER EVER use this group or their affiliate, priceline.com in the future and I highly suggest that anyone considering them not use them either!
Be aware of http://reservations.com! They fake to be the authentic hotel website to lure customers. "reservation" means non-refundable and non-changeable "purchase". Customer service (phone and online) are automatic non-responses - "congratulations - you are on your way".
Scam website disguised itself as the hotel. Charged me extra $19.99 service fee and double the taxes that the hotel told me they charge. I paid them $200 for a room that would have cost me $130 if I booked directly with the hotel.
Their attitude is pathetic. Their goal is to price gauge you. Their google search engine is slick as it misleads the reader. Once you realized you made a mistake 5 minutes later, they refuse to do anything about it. Their attitude is basically too bad. EVERYONE PLEASE STAY AWAY!
Found out when I got to my destination that they price gouged me by $100. Trying to talk to someone but getting the run around. I would not use this site!
I was booking a Holiday Inn room and somehow was switched to Reservations.com. There was a mistake on the room rates and when I called to fix they refused any refund or solution. Make sure when you go to book on the companies website that you don't get this site instead. They will not tell you who they are when you call and they charge a $19.99 Fee that is not disclosed. Also you can can talk to the few people they have in the Philippians, no help at all.
Make sure please that m'y réservation has been cancelled! Because thé 2 emails were contradictory on they messages
When I realized that I had booked wrong hotel, I called to change to a room in different hotel( same chain). Refused to change and tried to convince me that 1 day before arrival really meant 2 days. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I would NEVER recommend this website.
Ok, it's our fault that we missed the "Ad" indicator on Google when searching for a room using a cellphone. However, I should have been suspicious when we could hardly understand the rep on the phone.
It got worse when he said they don't offer discounts (we thought we were talking to Wyndham, not some third party). Reservations says "Our rates at the time of booking, are among the lowest rates you will find online..." Not so -- we paid $75 for a $64 room which would have qualified for an additional 20% discount. He quoted us one price, then another, and when he finally got his act together, he gave us a still higher price. I know, I should have just hung up -- that's my fault.
I told the rep where we wanted to stay, I said it twice, and he still tried to book us into a hotel in the WRONG STATE.
Just stay away from these folks -- they aren't doing you any favors
Reservation.com hacked into Quality Inn site to steal their business. I thought I was booking directly. After I booked a room that was suppose be $64, I received the confirmation which charged me a total of $38 in taxes and fees! I called customer support who kept hanging up on me! I called the hotel where I had booked to find out the room they reserved for me was not what they advertised and the cost was NOT $64 but $49! So they made a killing on that room! BEWARE they are thieves!
This company posed as Residence Inn. I was supposed to get a medical rate at the hotel in Skokie, Illinois, but they added a fee and took away my discount. They spoke so fast like a
Shell game to confuse you. When I called the actual hotel to check on my reservation, Residence Inn informed me that a third party company had taken my reservation When I called to pretend to book another reservation, it became clear The booking clerk didn't know what I was asking for. They thought I wanted a discount for a block of rooms, and I had no idea that was even a thing. I had never heard of nor known about Reservations.com was until this incident. Reservations.com won't give me the rate I asked for and was told I would get from the medical center for our medical visit. RC won't refund my money, even though they could see I was confused and was really asking for something else.
I booked 2 rooms through this service 2 months before arriving on 10/25. Their website generated a reservation confirmation # and said everything was set and I didn't need to do anything. When I arrived, the desk clerk said "Oh you're the one, your credit card was declined and we cancelled your reservation". I called my credit card company and I was charged the full amount and my card was still valid. The clerk said it was a different card that was declined. Turns out it was the booking companies card#! I called them and they said it wasn't there fault it was the motels. I was on the phone for 2 hours working through the problem. In the end, Reservations.com's virtual credit card # generator gave a series of bad #s that were declined. The motel could not contact them, or me, as no phone # makes it to the motel not even the name Reservations.com. After 2 hours of hassle, I finally was able to check in. What a mess. They tell you the reservation fee is non refundable. This is a scam. Learn from my mistake. Contact the motel directly and ask for a price match.
Disguises itself as a hotel website.
You will get charged a $19 per room fee unbeknownst to you until after the booking is complete and when you call back of course everything is non refundable.
Incredibly deceitful site. Use at your own risk.
Made a hotel reservation for 2 nights and then our office meeting changed so I called to cancel one of the nights. Even though it is well over a week away I was told that NO CHANGES can be made! So that little scam just cost me over $300! They also charge $19.99 to do the scam!
Made reservations from 11/1/19 to 11/7/19, called to modify. Was told to get hotel approval. Spoke to hotel and got approval and name of agent. Called resrvations.com again, and was told reserrvation is modified, but no refund. They lied and kept my money. Dont ever book with these thieves
The charge you a $20 service, which you will not realize unless you read the fine print before paying. Although your hotel reservation may be cancelled, the service is non-refundable. So they add $20 for no apparent reason... no added value whatsoever... to the hotel's cost and then keep it when you cancel. Then they can turn around and make another $20 on the same room when the next schmuck makes a reservation.
The rep I dealt with lied through her teeth. I specifically asked if I was going to be charged a service charge and she said no. When I asked why taxes were so high... 95.00 room charge - with taxes 135.00 she told me it was Government fees. When I googled the hotel I was interested in a picture of that hotel popped up on this sight making me think I was talking to someone directly affiliated with hotel. I had points built up for this hotel and had enough for free night. When I told her this she said I couldn't use them on last minute reservations. Come to find out, they aren't the ones who I would need to contact to make this happen and yes indeed, I could have used points for free stay. How this company is able to stay in business with this kind of dishonest business practice is beyond me. Shame on you, reservations.com employees and owners. There's a special place reservered for folks like you, and believe me... it doesn't come with a complimentary breakfast!
Booked a room had to cancel three days later. I know the $19.99 was non- refundable. I waited a month for the room charge to be refunded to my account. Called the motel they never billed my account. Called reservations.com and was told if I didn't know the name of the person I cancelled with they couldn't help me. Called my bank to file a dispute now my card has been cancelled and I have a headache. Never use this company.
Make sure you want to make a reservation with this site, as there are no refunds, no discussion, even if you just made the reservation and made a mistake.
I made a three day reservation at a Radisson in Akron. The first day my wife fell and fractured her shoulder at my daughters home. She spent that night in the hospital. I notified the hotel that night I would be checking out a day early. Next morning the hotel told me I couldn't cancel because I got the reservation at reservation.com which is Priceline. In short they don't care, they lied about contacting the hotel. I'm disputing this on my credit card which is a Costco visa. Will not in any way pay this charge. Strongly suggest you don't ever use this site. Look at the reviews, most are dreadful.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
