Realtor.com has ALWAYS been my favorite app for house searching. That has now come to a screeching hault! This update has completely destroyed what was once the most amazing and most used app and turned it into an app that is not even usable! Why fix something that isn't broken?! I will not be using this app ever again. Absolutely horrible. I'm not sure why they tried to be so much like Zillow (which I have never liked). I'm pretty sure Realtor.com just lost a ton of people due to this pointless update. Not smart at all Realtor.com!
If you find a property you're interested in on realtor.com, look for the name of the actual real estate agent in the listing, google their contact information and call them directly. DON'T use the website's inquiry option. If you do, you'll be spammed with aggressive, fast talking website representatives trying to lead you away from the property you're interested in, and toward properties they represent. After I left this same review on consumer.com yesterday, realtor.com blocked me from their site
Realtor.com are thieves! I have used them before for lead generation and wasted a bunch of money on which I did not see return of investment at all. Not even breaking even! If you are trying to build your pipeline, do not use Realtor.com. They will take your money and give you horrible quality leads and play games by not fulfilling the number of leads they promise per slot! Bunch of lies and they never return the calls at all when they say they will call in 48 hours. Please stay away!
Marie is a great realtor, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for help with their real estate needs! She helped me and my husband find the perfect rental property for our vacation in Groton Long Point, Connecticut, this summer. We actually started looking really late in the season for a rental house, but Marie managed to find us a great place and get everything in order for us to move in within a week! Her business contacts, and reputation in the community make her one of the best at what she does. If you are looking for a great realtor, you can't go wrong with Marie Tyler Wiley!
This company will tell you anything to get you to buy their so called lead service at a high price. Most always the lead is junk junk leads. You can do better with your personal website and it will bring you better quality leads. Dont fall for it stay clear.
Why should you pay to have buyers come to you from Your own listing...
I hired Jenny Young realtor in Northern Kentucky. She is very nice but it took her a long time to get pictures of my home
Online. Jenny doesnt like to making changes
Or negotiate. Jenny's phone was ringing constantly so it is hard to have a meeting.
Jenny needs more experience.
These people charged 97 bucks to my debit card without my authorization. I had never been in contact with them before. It took a lot of research to even figure out Realtor.com had made the charge because they coded the transaction so that it couldn't be identified.
This is a criminal company. Do not do business with them.
As a realtor, I unfortunately trusted the sales calll I received about qualified leads and guarantees of lead generation by signing up with realtor.com. Within 24 hours I knew I was "taken" and it was a scam. Now the problem was how to cancel a bogus service? They no longer answered calls or had any customer service to field complaints. If you are a realtor DO NOT sign on with them. They makes promises but do not deliver. Worst company I have ever ever dealt with
Realtor.com is the worst website for lead generating has taken me a week in a half to cancel and then only because I agreed to pay for six months, never again, ever and the worst part I will be a driving force to get the word out about these crooks, they don't deliver they try to upsell you and really just lie. BAD, BAD BAD Avoid at all cost!
Doesn't get any worse than this. Stay away!
After the Realtor.com re-design I find the website nearly useless. I buy multi-family homes and would use Realtor to see what was new on the market. I could see if the property was a 2,3, or 4 unit and also the monthly rent for each unit. That info has now disappeared. If a property met my basic criteria, I would call the listing agent to get more info, thereby generating a legitimate lead. I suppose it's designed to create more leads for agents but I predict that agents will now receive more phone calls with less results, thereby wasting everyone's time.
The account reps promise the moon, but it is just a lot of confused consumers in the end. The best part is they require 30 days of leads once you come to the conclusion their leads suck.
If your a mortgage company looking for leads stay far far away from Realtor.com Homes.com
What on earth were you thinking? This app is now completely useless! I see no reason the old one was changed, but if there was a reason... it was obviously to take away all options your users had. Completely frustrating!... This app required me to give you a star to submit! -1
I used to check the app daily, even bought one of my properties based on its listings. The revised app is unusable and I deleted it. Perhaps you'd like to communicate to the market when you are able to release an app that works properly. What you now have is pure garbage.
What are you guys thinking? Your website is a mess. I put in waterfront and it shows me acreage. I have been using realtor.com for over 10 years. You have tweaked it over the years, but it is now fatally destroyed. It's now Zillow. Maps are bad. No order of anything. New aren't first. Just an absolute abortion. Sometime you should just leave well enough alone.
I called to request information and pricing on 3 local zip codes. The rep, Eric Schmidt stated all three were still available and providing pricing and advised of the 1 year contract. I told Eric I needed to think about and within 30 minutes emailed him advising I wanted to move forward with 1 of the 3 zip codes quoted (also the most affordable option). While waiting to hear back, I started my due diligence in research and read reviews. After reading numerous TERRIBLE reviews and reviewing ethical based lawsuits brought against them, I received an email from Eric stating that in the 30 minutes since he had provided the quote for all 3 and him stating that they were still available, that only the most expensive was still available (2 zip codes sold out in 30 minutes... questionable...). I responded stating I would NOT be moving forward.
As an agent, they are the toughest to deal with. They charged us a monthly charge for a zip code we canceled on their website. This is their preferred way to canceled. Took about 3 months to get our money back. Customer service offers little help with this or any other issue we have had. They are great at calling and trying to sell you more zip codes. No one has an account representative and who ever answers the phone call for customer service serves as that account representative.
Hi fellow realtors and brokers,
I could put zero stars, which is what the representative of this company, Tyler Carr, really deserves. I can't believe I got duped by him. Tyler Carr told me that I could get 48 guaranteed leads in six months. After my six months expired, he is denying that he ever told me that he guaranteed the leads. I only got 36 actual leads and none of them were any good! Watch out because all they want to do is take your money; they don't care what kind of leads you get, especially Tyler Carr!
P.S. This is my first time posting on this site, and I hope you don't have to go through what I had to go through with them.
I signed up for online leads from Realtor.com in Late September of 2022. I was promised 10 leads a month per zip code slot. I signed a yearly contract for 4 zip code slots which would have meant I'd be getting 40 leads per month. It's now the end of March in 2023 and I have received a total of 40 leads instead of receiving 240 leads. Realtor.com does nothing to resolve the issues. I've tried to get out of my year long contract but Realtor.com will not release me from my contract and continue to charge my card. What's more, the leads I have received are not workable leads. The leads either have agents or they're calling about properties that are already under contract. Realtor.com does not screen the leads and when I complained about the leads, Realtor.com openly admits that I will have to weed through the junk leads to get the good leads. The thing they don't tell you is that all of the leads are garbage.
My listing did not display in their system but showed on other home search sites with no problem. Customer service gave me standard reasons which weee not valid for my situation and did nothing to try to solve my problem
Any positive review has to be fake, this site is filled to the gills with glitches. Nothing works, its a total nightmare, i find it best to just search a realtor and use that site. Using realtor, com is just going to add to your already home buying stress.
Answer: Don't do it! Total scam. They don't allow you to cancel, and don't deliver what they promise. I've wasted $1500 and they want to stick me for another $4500! I signed up for an area with $800k average, but ALL of the leads are for $50 mobile homes. COMPLETE SCAM!
Answer: You can file a claim with the BBB. I am in the process of looking for an attorney. Small claims court is always an option.
Answer: Just be sure you are dealing with a realtor. Do not send any money to anybody at a moneygram account. Just make sure it is a realtor you are working with. Because there are scams out there that ask you to send money pretend to be owner etc. you can always ask for license number and go to trec website and check to see if number is real. Hope that helps.
Answer: I hope that if enough of us post about Realtor.com scamming, defrauding our industry we can stop them, scammed myself, never again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.
