I've never gotten any gift cards I ordered from Raise because the agents keep cancelling orders saying they need more information from me to "verify" my account. They want information on social security numbers, previous addresses I've lived at, my credit card information, and even a copy of my state driver's license. I will not provide this information because of the risks of identity theft. Raise.com is a fraud. Many reviewers have reported that when they get their gift cards, the balance is lower than advertised. But be aware that Raise also operates simply as a front to get your personal information. DO NOT BUY FROM RAISE.
I sold a gift card went to withdraw the funds and my account was suspended i called they and was told i could only get my funds after i sent copy a DL, Passport all four corners then i had to take another picture of those two things and send it to them or they will not release my founds. This company is just a way of stealing your money
I have been very pleased with Raise. The selection of discounted gift cards is extensive & are usually in stock. I made the mistake of not checking the balance on a gift card I had ordered & discovered a zero balance when I tried to use it. Raise customer service refunded my money within a few hours with no questions asked. Quite impressive!
First time customer. I was leery of purchasing gift cards on-line and was reassured by the 100 day money back guarantee. When it turned out there was an issue with two of the five gift cards i purchased, I received a phone call notifying me of this and was offered several options for resolution.
RJ and Forrest Excellent customer service and follow-up. I appreciate being able to call and have a real person answer the phone - highly unusual for an internet company.
I purchased an Ebay card, which turned out to be bad. Raise was very quick to correct the problem when I get to speak with their reps. However, it takes several hours before even getting to a rep. The reps are polite and willing to help. Also, it takes almost a week for the fund to finally arrive my credit card account. Rep Patience was very good to follow up. I appreciate her attitude!
Gift Card showed as shipped, but nothing arrived after waiting the allotted time period. Finn double checked and after a day, the item updated with tracking information. Item arrived and I am very satisfied. Will continue to use Raise for all of my gift card needs.
BEWARE! I don't know how reviewers can give a business 5 stars when they send a physical card with a zero balance or NOT AT ALL. If you are purchasing a gift card, raise.com should require the seller to provide an online tracking number. Even with USPS you can check the tracking number online.
I had to wait for over 2 weeks, emailed customer service twice. BIG WASTE of my time. Now I have to start over. There are plenty of better gift card brokers as far as price and service out there so don't waste your time with raise.com
I have bought thousands of dollars worth of gift cards from this company, only to have terrible customer service of unethical treatment. Last year, Raise put in some additional security measures which caused a great deal of problems as they were sending the code to a different email that my account was under. No one, including four supervisors could fix this problem and I was unable to access my accounts to get the cards I had paid for. Then, a Z gallerie card for $507 was closed (I had confirmed that it was fine when I bought it) and Raise did not respond to my email requests for refund for over two weeks. With the deadline approaching where they would not refund the monies, I disputed the credit card charge. They then closed my accounts and told Chase they would not give me the money back, in violation of their contract with me. I have reported them to the FTC and now buy from other companies. They are not at all concerned I have purchased over $3000 of cards from other companies.
Purchased several gift certificates. Came back a few weeks later to use a restaurant cert and it had zero balance. Went to support to get a refund and they were wonderful... no fighting, quick and immediate response to my issue and refund credited in 2 days. Could not ask for more. Would use them anytime.
I got my physical gift card in mail but I don't want it anymore and they won't let you return it. I have to sell it online. They will take 15% off your selling price as the money you get finally. What a waste of money!
I was very impressed with getting a response and action taken and continued emails letting me know what was going on. I was reluctant to try this site but I feel much better. Just knew the next step was contacting my credit card not to pay. That was not needed. Thank you
I had an issue with 2 of the gift cards I purchased and Lynn (a customer service rep) at Raise was responsive and had processed my refund within an hour. This is remarkable to me having dealt with other gift card sites! I will be exclusively dealing with Raise from now on!
I have never had any problem using raise for my gift cards. In the past, using several different sites that are terrible experiences with not even bothering to send a card I ordered, I have remained loyal to only raise and will never go with any other site again. Reliability is golden!
I received a card with no value on it, which was frustrating. However, I was extremely impressed with how quickly and easily Raise resolved it, refunding my money without any hassle whatsoever. Other than that instance, I've had good luck with Raise and saved some money in the process.
The reason that Raise is the only gift card service I buy from is that they stand by their product - for 12 months. I've had to use this protection on a couple of occasions due to dishonest gift card sellers, and Raise has responded quickly and swiftly. Great company!
Terrible... don't ever NEVER buy from this company. They are criminals and need to be shut down. They steal people's money and then say sorry its beyond 100 days we can't help you.
They dont hold accountable the people who sell these cards. After 100 days the seller can keep everything on the card because they never have to turn in the gift card they are selling.
**EDIT** Despite what they told me on the phone, they issued a full refund for the amount I paid. A representative who followed up with me was great and seemed to reiterate their policies as found online, which would be buyer protection. Perhaps the representative I reached the first time was mistaken, but the inconsistency is a bit worrisome. They resolved my situation but not without significant time and effort on my part.
Bought two $25 gift cards to Smashburger and was able to confirm the balance upon arrival. Used them each once; went back a second time and the balance was $0 on each!
Raise will neither refund the amount I paid NOR the remaining balance (less than what I paid). They say they will process a refund on a percentage of the balance...
No protection for consumers if someone keeps the gift card information; therefore, I will NOT be using this company again. Haven't had any trouble with another company, I'll stick with them in the future.
I had an issue with a Gift Card I purchased off Raise.com. I emailed in about the problem and didn't hear back for many days... getting anxious, I followed up. This time over chat.
Cassie was very helpful and quick to find out the card was in fact delivered with no balance and refunded me immediately. Very quick, succinct, and professional. A+
As I was setting up my new account I ran into a "glitch". When it was my turn for help Cooper had an up beat voice from the start. He put the issue out of concern then another crept up, he calmly helped me with that one. For me product is product but the customer service is the deal breaker. 5 stars!
I love being able to buy discounted gift cards. The few times there has been an issue with a card I purchased, customer service (you can actually speak with someone!) has been great at researching the issue and promptly refunding my money. This is the main reason I only use Raise as my discount gift card company
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
Answer: Susan, we're sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. Can you please send an email to member.success@raise.com with the email address associated with your account so that we can look into this for you?
