SELLERS BEWARE!
September 25, 2024

I posted a 500 dollar gift card to sell on Raise/GCX. The sale went through. I then received an email indicating that the seller had experienced "problems" with the gift card. Lo and behold the gift card was now empty. At the end of the day, I was never given my money and I lost everything on the gift card. There is absolutely no way to contact a human. Emails are ignored. No phone number. Nothing. Do NOT give these guys business.

I signed up for the website, then attempted to purchase $100 in gift cards. The purchase never completed then my account was "locked" I sent a ticket to support, they sent a link to my email to verify my identity by scanning my face and drivers license. Never received contact after, account still locked.

Fairly sure they are farming personal data and selling to third parties.

Fraudulent
January 2, 2023

We ought several cards with their 1 year guarantee, one card had a $0 balance and they won't honor it. Customer service is non existent, no chat, no phone only emails that takes days to get somebody to respond.

STAY AWAY
March 29, 2023

Nothing about this company is legitimate, they don't even have a phone number posted to accept calls, and their "support" is terrible with response time. I've had a status of "paid" with funds I withdrew for a week, and still have not seen the funds in my account. These people are crooks.

Raise stole $173 from me. Unfortunately, this company has unethical and fraudulent practices. They have no customer support phone number and they claim Live Chat but I have never successfully used it.

Recently, I listed a ~$173 Best Buy gift card to be sold by Raise after it was 'approved' by their screening process. Two days later, it was sold and I was sent a congratulations email. Great!

Not so fast, a day after it sold they said there were no funds on the card and that they checked (after they approved it through the initial process).

I called Best Buy, and they informed me that the balance was cleared 10 minutes after it was sold on Raise and was used to purchase an Apple Watch in a state I don't live in. I presented this evidence to Raise in the 4th support ticket and this time they didn't even respond.

I filed a police report for the theft and will be pursuing all legal action possible. I do not recommend transacting with this company.

They take a really long time to process your order. They'll charge your credit card but about half the time it takes about 24 hours for them to deliver on what you purchase. You'd think well they probably message you and tell you there's a delay or apologize or refund your order if it takes that long. NO! Raise is too good to care or be available or not waste your money and time. Honestly I can think of 5 other places you can buy used gift cards without the stupid 'technology' that is Raise.com. Avoid that stupid heap of b.s. That is Raise.com at all costs.

Strongly reconsider buying Roblox gift cards from Raise as this company has shown a concerning lack of reliability. The gift cards purchased here have been found to be non-functional when used with USA-based Roblox accounts, resulting in an error message indicating a currency-country mismatch. What's even more frustrating is that Raise's customer service response leaves much to be desired. Instead of promptly addressing the issue and providing refunds, they insist on a cumbersome process that requires you to prove the origin of the gift card and the fact that it did not work. This unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming procedure is far from the customer-friendly service one would expect from a reputable company. As a result, it's advisable to explore alternative sources for Roblox gift cards where you can expect a smoother, hassle-free experience.

They said they guarantee for 1 year but when it comes to a issue, they don't. Do not trust them. Two of new prepaid cards had no balance and the answer from their service team was contact the brand directly even they sold the cards. What a scam!

Here's what they responded.
'After further review, we have been able to confirm that the card was activated when initially purchased by the seller and sold on Raise. For this reason, we cannot refund as this issue is not covered under our 1 Year Money-Back Guarantee. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We advise you to contact [brand] directly regarding further assistance. If you are able to provide written correspondence directly from the brand confirming an issue with this gift card we can continue to look into this issue further'

Bought 200 dollar gift cards from their website to use on papa johns for my son birthday pizzas. When I went to place the order, I was told these cards were used and zero balance. I lost 170 dollar( as they saved me supposedly 30 dollar).
I never gave the number and used the gift cards. When I contacted them, they have no refund guarantee or anything and they said it's not their issue!

I purchased a gift card, and it didn't work. I emailed them and the response was to escalate the situation and get back to me within 7 business days. They never responded to me and were not refunding either. Be aware!

Requesting photo ID to purchase gift cards
March 8, 2023

I originally wanted to purchase 200 dollars of gift cards for my family. They canceled my order and suspended my account without providing any reason. I emailed them asking to restore my account because this really was my FIRST TIME using the website. They asked me if I am using Raise for some business reasons, which is ridiculous. I replied no, I'm only using it for my family. Then they asked me to PROVIDE PHOTO ID via some suspicious text link!
I have never encountered anything like this. Shopping on any website don't ask for photo ID! If you want customers' identity information, do it when they register! I would have got the red flag and not waste my time on this website.

I listed many gift cards. Some were rightfully purchased, others were "denied" for zero balance when I know full well they had funds behind them, THOUSANDS of dollars. When I checked the gift card balances, they were zero. Keep in mind, these are businesses I don't go to like Home Depot. There is NO way that these gift cards were used by me. Proceed with caution, they are thieves.

Raise says it guarantees its cards. I bought a Texas Roadhouse card and it was a fraudulent card. The card numbers did not match anything that Texas Roadhouse uses. Customer service at Raises refused to refund my money.

I listed a $100 Nike gift card to sell in this platform. They stole the balance in my card and do not refund. Edit: I sent Raise the information they need to investigate the issue. No one ever reached out. You can't call them, and they do not reply to emails. What a scam company!

I was a Raise.com customer for a few years. Used to buy a lot and occasionally sell a few, and then paused for a few months. When I returned in late 2022, it became a real hassle to list and buy from there.
They refused to withdraw $85 dollars for a gift card that I just sold. They claimed they needed to verify my information, but the funny thing was they never asked this verification thing when I tried to sell my gift card! I could have given them my information if they did the right things rather in this shady way. It is insane to give them my social security number for $85 which who knows I can ever get!

I'm done with this shady website.

Use it QUICKLY!
December 17, 2022

I bought an Outback gift card on Raise in late 2019 – pandemic hit, couldn't use it for a while – finally went in 2022 and it's invalid. Raise states 1-year guarantee passed. True – but it's a pandemic – so it was invalid sometime during the time the restaurant wasn't even available! Perhaps the credit card company will set them straight – we'll see. Outback says don't use fraudulent third party sellers like Raise. Lesson learned – if you can't use it quickly or redeem it into an app – don't buy it as it might be fraudulent!

DO NOT USE!
March 12, 2024

They claim they have a money back guarantee, but, they do not. I purchased over $1200 worth of cards for hotels.com and they are unusable, because someone had previously combined the cards which makes it unusable on the hotels.com sites. Now, when I messaged support and requested a refund, they told me no, that they see money on the card, so, no. Even though they are completely unusable for me. This site would not allow me to upload a screenshot of my purchase.

Of course, there are sometime errors from the sellers. But I always trust Raise's support team. If you have something wrong with the order? Just call them and wait a little bit and everything will be alright.
