Twice now I've had issues with gift cards from Raise.com. Even after providing proof that I did not use them, the site would not refund my money. Seems like a good way to save money, until you have an issue and they don't really care. Stay away from this site.
Very disappointed in their customer service policy for those of us who purchase in good faith and get ripped off. Purchased a $50 gift card and when I tried to use it on vacation, only $9.84 card balance even though I never used it! After many calls, Raise pretty much said nothing we can do since I bought it too far in advance for my trip. Will not buy from them again and will encourage friends not to as well.
Extremely shady website, no doubt involved in money laundering. Won't let you use PayPal on desktop - you have to download their app for that! They'll ban your account for no reason on your first purchase but leave the charge up instead of instantly reversing it. Horrible first impression and I'm glad I didn't get caught up in the myriad of issues other users have reported - gift cards not working, payments being withheld and so forth.
I still don't know how my complaint will be resolved - you sold me a $200 gift certificate that the retailer says is invalid - and your representative said she had to refer it to customer service and didn't know what would happen. I'm afraid you made $200 off me for which I received nothing in return.
No service provider is ever always perfect. But the very best ones succeed in making blips disappear.
Raise is always on top of their game when "making it right" erases the "something gone wrong."
Nuff said.
Of course, there are sometime errors from the sellers. But I always trust Raise's support team. If you have something wrong with the order? Just call them and wait a little bit and everything will be alright.
Had an issue using a card 6 months after purchasing. They didn't ask any questions except for how I would like the refund. It's great that they don't accuse customers of misuse when an unfortunate situation occurs. I really appreciate it!
My telephone call for a refund on an inactive card I just received was handled very quickly by Asia. Whenever there is an issue, it has always been taken care of in a professional and friendly manner.
After an awful experience with Macy's while attempting to redeem my gift cards, Autumn at Raise support did a wonderful job remedying the situation. She processed my request quickly and returned the $2,500 I was out.
I've done business with Raise for many years. You won't find a more honest company and very customer service oriented. The vast majority of cards work just fine. Occasionally you'll get one that doesn't but Raise makes it right! Highly recommend.
Saw some bad reviews here but decide tot try anyway. Figured most people do not bother to give positive reviews. Heck, with a credit card purchase you are pretty well protected anyway. Ordered gift card with 20% discount. Received via email within 20 minutes and immediately applied it to pending on-line order. Worked great for me.
Jess in customer service was fantastic. First time customer with Raise.com. Very impressive company! They definitely care about their customers. Will shop again with them real soon for more gift cards.
Bought two gift cards, the next day they refunded one card as they "found an issue" with it. Been waiting almost 4 weeks for the second card, sent emails, only receive automated responses and when I call their customer service I am always caller number 20+. Just contacted the bank and filed a dispute on the charge.
I contacted Raise customer support for help with a refund on two gift card purchases, and received superior support from their agent, Sheldon. He processed the request immediately, and was highly knowledgeable and greatly helpful. 5 stars.
Raise is one in a million. Gift cards do take some time to be approved because there are strong anti-fraud measures in place, but they usually sell almost instantaneously. Dont risk selling your gift card on eBay then getting a message from them saying, the buyer was fraudulent with some odd code number and then being screwed out of your cash. Raise is the way to go, and their support is the best I have ever dealt with! Super professional listeners with can-do policies and a great attitude!
Order a physical gift care on Nov. 13 2020. After 2 emails to Raise, I finally received the gift card on Dec 7,2020. It says right on the order slip that "gift cards are to be mailed within 3 business days". It was more like 13 business days. The gift card has teeth marks in it and is damaged to a point that I cannot give it as a gift. I'm not even sure if the merchant will be able to swipe the card as the damage is on the magnet strip side.
So far, I have not had any issues with Raise's electronic gift cards, but after reading so many negative reviews along with my most recent experience with this gift card, I think I might be done with Raise.
Downloaded the app on my phone. Wanted to check to see if promo code was valid and accidentally hit pay instead of apply. Not my first time using, had a card saved so it went through. Immediately contacted them. It took 10 days to get a response! In those 10 days the payment was processed and they refuse to refund. End of me doing business with them. Avoid this company. Find a local place that will buy/sell physical gift cards if possible.
The Guarantee with this company has gone downhill. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars with them mostly on Lowe's gift cards. They used to be good about refunds, but not anymore. Now I have a bad card for $172.68 and ive been jumping through hoops emailing, calling, mailing the card back and still no refund. Its been well over a month of giving me a hard time. Their cards seem like a good deal, yes, but just wait until you get a bad card with these guys! You can say goodbye to any savings you thought you were gonna get and will probably eat a loss instead for their benefit
Raise offers promotions for money off purchases but their website doesn't honor them. When you call into their service you get people like Aria and Cooper Price ( supervisor) who will do everything in their power to not give the promotional money back. This is a fraudulent operation. Both times I tried to purchase cards they were ultimately containing $0 balances. Prices in this website are poor in comparison to other legitimate websites. Do NOT do business with this Company
I have spent over $1500 on raise.com without any problems at all. It's an easy way to save money or even make money if your'e purchasing for other consumers. I've used it for building materials at home depot and I walk away with an extra 9% when I get reimbursed. What's not to love about that? Plus, if there ever was a issue raise.com has a 100% money back guarantee.
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
