I've attempted to purchase gift cards from this site multiple times and each time, my order is cancelled for no reason within 5 minutes of executing the purchase. I even tried multiple times in case the issue was on my end. Customer service is a joke - their webpage won't even load for me to identify a number or chat or email option. STAY AWAY.
"I purchased $200 PF Changs gift card and used some amount immediately while had some balance remaining. When I returned to PF chang's 6 months later, the balance disappeared and I ended up loosing the balance on the card. The customer service is horrible. They don; t really do anything to help but provide with a $10 reward! I am never purchasing again from them and will pass on the word to my friends and family so everyone is aware of what they are getting into!"
I have discussed a few concerns faced with Raise recently and she could handle all of them in a satisfactory manner. Impressed with her knowledge, patience showed to understand things, and turn around time in resolving the issue. Keep up the good work!
Raise.com was an easy, quick way to sell several unused gift cards we had sitting idle for years. From start to finish the process took less than 2 weeks and we have checks in our hands vs. dusty gift cards in a drawer!
Tried three times to contact the company to resolve an undelivered order. Two times via the '*******@raise.com' email address with never an answer over a period of several days. Third time I used the 'Help?" floating button and got the issue resolved the same day. In all fairness, once they realized I was having a problem the issue was resolve quickly. I would suggest better monitoring of their email 'support' service or add a search algorithm that looks for embedded order numbers that would automatically trigger a 'support ticket'. The difficulty in contacting the company is the reason for my average rating.
After buying several gift cards without any issue, I received one that didn't work. Calling customer service was easy, with speedy response time and no hassle resolution. Despite this one occurrence, I plan to continue to purchase through Raise, considering the 1 year protection offered for cases like this one and the respectful people available to work out any kinks.
I buy quite bit of discounted gift cards and sell a little bit on Raise. Whenever I have an issue, I just simply type out an email to inform them about it. Most times, it's for a refund due to the seller not posting the right amount in the mailed card. But the last time I emailed their customer support was to inform them that two of my e-gift cards are grossly under the advertise purchase amount. I was upset but then I thought that maybe the amount was starting to be deducted after a certain amount of time of non-use. But they quick shot me back an message stating they have refunded me the difference. I was wow'd. I didn't expect anything back. Just maybe to second opinion on my previous theory. I can't praise their customer service enough. Very prompt and they go above and beyond for their customers. That is what makes a good brand great!
When signing up, make sure you it is during normal business hours as they will have a series of questions for you to prove that you are yourself. Customer service is always helpful and friendly but when buying from this website, make sure you allow at least a 2 hour window for delivery of the giftcard(s). I have experienced delivery times from 12 mins-3 hours even when ordering the same card repeatedly. Although, your money will be taken from your bank immediately.
I was a frequent Raise.com purchaser until I noticed on my last Citi Mastercard statement that my single purchase of a $23.55 gift card was categorized as a recurring payment for some unknown reason. Since the merchant determines the category, and not Citi, all I could do was block Raise.com, as I don't want to be billed for $23.55 every month for nothing! So for now they've lost me as a customer. Keep an eye on your statements if you use them!
Bought 3 gift certificates to a local grocery store. Two of the three didn't work. Tried to get a refund, but you have to hop all over their site to make one. Attempted live chat and had to wait for ten minutes.
I ordered a couple gas cards at a great price but had difficulty entering a discount code; I chatted online with customer service (Sophie) and she was very helpful, responded quickly, and made this an enjoyable encounter.
I will definitely deal with Raise in the future.
Logging into account is a menace! Conformation codes come hours after requested if you login in from a new computer, and then the codes say that they are expired! Calling customer services takes a lot of time and on-hold music is enough to drive you insane.
I ordered my first two Raise gift cards and went to Home Depot to capture my 10% savings on a $600 purchase. Unfortunately, one of the gift cards valued at almost $300 was showing "No Funds Available" when the cashier tried to use it. Immediately after leaving Home Depot, I called the customer support number. I was quickly greeted by Walter, who thoughtfully handled the situation. He apologized for the poor first experience, processed my refund, and emailed me a prepaid return postage immediately so they could check it out and see what may have happened with the card. Although I would have much preferred a functional gift card and the savings at Home Depot, the customer service was great. I would still consider using Raise in the future, as I feel like mine was a rare occurrence.
Have been using Raise for awhile now without any issues until today. Purchased a giftcard today that would not redeem. Called customer service and it was fixed it a matter of minutes. Representative was very helpful and pleasant. I will be using Raise in the future and recommending site to all my friends.
When ordering 3 gift cards, 2 arrived in perfect fashion... 1 was a phony card. Upon contacting Raise, we were assisted by Kendall who resolved the issue immediately and processed a refund with our only needing to provide an electronic photo of the phony card. Will absolutely be back to shop and appreciate the resolution of an issue that was not Raise's fault. Great experience despite issue with card. Thanks!
I bought a $100 gift card 3/31/16 only to find out this weekend the balance has a Zero balance. Called P. F. Chang's and was told someone in another state emptied the card shortly after Raise mailed it to me. I am past the 100 days grace period and Raise is not refunding my purchase price!
Purchased a card from Raise and used it a few times then it was reported lost or stolen by the original owner, I guess. Raise would not honor the guarantee they show on their site. They only refunded me the amount of money I had used, still don't understand that. Anyhow, just be wary if you purchase a card. It may work at first but you may even get the value of what you paid for it.
Raise.com is an amazing website for thrifty shoppers, and I am truly thrilled with my purchases. As exciting as their discounts, Raise.com also gave me outstanding customer service. When I had a question about a purchase, I was helped by Katerina, who was incredibly professional, efficient, and kind. Katerina's approach to customer service was like a breath of fresh air as she took it upon herself to make sure I was taken care of. I liked Raise.com when I first used the website, but I like it 100 times more after speaking to Katerina - she completes the great package of discount and service that they provide. As a result, I highly recommend Raise.com.
I give Raise.com 5 stars for the following reasons:
-Value of the giftcard always matches what they claim
-No hidden fees or anything applied to my orders
-Site works great on computer and mobile devices
-Easy to search for a retailer
I had to cancel my most recent order and requested cancellation by email. Customer Service got back to me within 5 minutes and cancelled the order. That is great customer service!
Daisy was wonderful - and almost worth having to wait for two days for a call back. Your Website is very 'unforgiving' when a new password is required. My password manager likes to generate odd passwords, but none to your liking. Lucky for me, Daisy did reach me via telephone and resolved the problem with professionalism, knowledge and sweetness. I did order over $150.00 in Nike Gift Cards.
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
