First time ordering from them and they send me an empty gift card. $0 and i payed for $100 card. Took 3 months to get refunded after 12! Emails (they literally asked me the same question over and over again, "how much of the balance did you use?") I told them that to keep me as a customer they would have to give me more than purchase price (they used up 2 coupons that were not refundable so i would be losing that value). No reply after that just "we refunded the purchase price. Not even an apology for the time and for holding my money hostage for so long.
I use this app all the time to get gift cards to stores and restaurants I frequent. Savings add up. The customer service is top notch. Had an issue that was resolved quickly and professionally. Thank you.
I ordered a series of gift cards which never arrived. I contacted Raise customer support and Gus was wonderful communicating with me, attempting to reach the seller and helping me obtain a refund when the seller did not respond.
I received a notice from Patty within 24 hours regarding my request for a refund as well.
Based on this experience, I do plan to continue to buy from Raise.com
Short and direct response to my questions. Happy with quality of the interaction. My only suggestion would be to allow time for more opened ended inquiries and close call with very specific closing statement, I. E. "Did I address your question" or "can I help you understand other aspects of the service".
Ordered a bunch of gift cards. The numbers do not work so I asked for a refund and I was told I have to get a letter from the company saying they don't work. I've gotten the runaround from the company and Raise won't lift a finger. I'm out almost $100 and will never bother again. The few dollars I would have saved is wasted chasing a letter to get my money back.
I found Raise at the early stages of their launch and ive been a fan ever since. With over $4000 in purchases and tons of referrals, i love saving money and getting what i need.
I don't tell too many people due to the competition factor... lol
Keep up the great work...
My elderly mother's account was hijacked by a scammer and more than $16,000.00 of fraudulent purchases were made without her knowledge. Her account normally has little activity so this $16,000 worth of purchases made in 2 days should have been flagged by Raise!
Raise has provided no assistance to help gather information for the police report.
Raise has no evening or weekend support to help for an urgent situation like to Block the account!
Raise only has a online chat availability with a robot program that doesn't know what fraud on my account is!
I could not get into the account once it was hijacked and I could not reset the password and I could not get a human's attention fir 3 days in order to block the account! By that time my poor mother was broke! I cannot even get them to provide a list of purchases made.
I am totally frustrated with this company and their inability and unwillingness to help.
I have been using the web site Raise.com for over 2 years and I've made over 100 purchases from them. They are a stellar company and I've experienced only top notch service with them whether it be selling, purchasing or resolving a dispute. Their support staff is always on top of their game and have never steered me wrong or left me dissatisfied. Definitely one of my go-to web sites for always a great deal and never a bad experience.
I really liked the idea of buying discounted gift cards, but my experience with Raise was awful. I bought a $150 card to Lowes for $132 and change. It never showed up. I had to contact Raise three times to get my money refunded. Disappointed!
My husband and I spent over $6,000 in gift cards through raise... Just to receive over 1/2 of them that were fraudulent. When I received them I called to check the balance on every single card and it had the correct amounts. As soon as the 100 days were over the balances had miraculously disappeared and raise said "there is nothing we can do, it falls outside our 100 day policy". Don't even spend a dollar on these cards... worthless!
This is certainly a top website for gift cards, but I am hoping to get my listing up a tad bit faster. The items sell pretty fast so you guys have great advertising techniques, so let's hope for a great rest of the year. Thanks
I have been using Raise.com for several months now and am really happy with them. I have saved so much money on coffee alone! They absolutely back up their guarantee and the couple of times that there were issues with the cards I purchased, their customer service was quick to respond and resolve the problem.
Raise has recently improved their buying process by showing a timer for how long your purchases will last in your cart. This has been extremely helpful. In the past your cart items would expire without warning but now you can see how long you have to check out before they disappear. It still puts pressure on you to shop quickly or lose your item but it's better than in the past.
I have used this site and the deals are great... when they work which is about half the time. If you place an order in your cart, it disappears spontaneously, especially when they offer discount codes, making it impossible to purchase more than one thing without it getting bought out from under you. It's ridiculous that they don't hold it until you can check out. Online chat help was nonexistent.
Sergio took the time out of his busy schedule to help me resolved the problem I had with a fraudulent gift card that I purchase. He was very professionally and patiently handled the issues. He represent Raise very well. Thank you!
This is the BEST site. In 18 months I have purchased almost $20,000 in discounted gift cards, primarily Lowes and Home Depot. This on little one for $40 is the only one I have ever had a problem with. It was fixed and refund to my account within 5 days of my calling. Thanks Raise - I look forward to many more dollars save by using your services!
I wanted to make sure I could get my cards quickly and go through the verification process in a timely manner. It had said that the process could take 24 hours so I called the support number to see if I could get everything done in one sitting, with card delivery soon after. I worked with Jenny initially and then Heather for the accounts verification portion. Both were extremely friendly and efficient, walking me through the process and offering to verify the account right then and there. I was amazed at how quick and friendly the service was. A++. Raises are in order (pun intended). From the time I first pressed "call" on my phone to the delivery email was 37 minutes! A good deal of the time was from me re-picking my cards as well! So fast. Very likely to buy from here again versus the competition.
Do yourself a favor. Try calling the company, using their chat option, or emailing them. You'll quickly see that it's impossible to reach them. When you get gift cards with a $0 balance, you are out of luck because they won't do anything for you despite their "guarantee policy." Because of defrauding people, the company needs to shut down permanently by the government.
I have bought and used many gift cards from Raise over the past several years. Every once in a while, I have had gone to use a card, and the amount has dis-appeared. A phone call, or better yet, the OnLine Chat feature gets the problem resolved easily. Refund back to credit card in less than a week. They are the only service I know of that offers a 100 day guarantee on the cards they sell.
I purchased a Caribou Coffee gift card in Oct 2018. Went to use it over Thanksgiving and was told there was no money on the card. Raise initially gave me a refund, then in January they sent me an email saying they were taking the refund back. I talked to two people who pretty much accused me of being dishonest. In the end they can only refund me if I can provide "evidence" that I did not use the card! Closing my account and called my credit card to dispute the charge.
Just got help from Raise.com. I know raise.com 100 days policy. Purchased several whole food market's e Gift card last year and forgot to use it until last month. When I went on line and go to store to use, neither of them work. Call raise.com they found out Whole Food Market changed the policy for using all the physical card instead of e-gift since last year of Dec. I lost all my value. But I'm happy that raise.com give me back the credit. Even it's not all of them. But I know I got some great deals all the time, I can get back that small money I lost very soon. Plus when I purchase from them, my whole group get paid also. Just check on their site more often, I can save $ for for my family and friends in no time. Thank you! Jarvis,
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
