I've been ordering from Raise.com for years. I've saved so much money purchasing distressed gift cards. I have probably bought over $10,000 in cards with no issues. The very few times (less that 1%) that there has been a problem customer service is not only very easy to reach but they have been able to resolve the problem to my satisfaction. The company is based in Chicago, not overseas which means when I call I am talking to a real person on the same time schedule as myself and who speaks understandable English. I would recommend this business and have recommended them to all my family and friends.
None of these cards is guaranteed. The person who sold it to Raise could empty the card on day 99 and you would just be out of luck the next day! I just checked a VS $300 one and it got emptied at around day 90. ZERO balance. I never used it. You need to use every card completely before day 100! Or Raise will just say, "that's tough". Also, if you have any problems with the vendor redeeming or checking balances, you are out of luck. Raise's guarantee is very limited. Lastly, their customer service is sometimes sarcastic and disinterested and service is often very slow. Everyone writes about this. I've spent around $1500 with them. That's over.
Got two chipotle giftcards from raise. After a while they stopped working even though there is balance. Raise supervisors would not do anything to help, rather want me wait. I will never buy giftcards here again. 1 year guarantee is a joke.
The first time I used Raise, I didn't realize that there were e gift cards and store gift cards. Purchased an E gift card by mistake and sat on it for a year. Finally tried to use it, but the pin was invalid. Emailed Raise for suggestions. They asked me a few questions, then credited the amount paid to my original credit card. Way beyond the 100 day guarantee. Thank you very much! Have saved lots of money on gift cards through this site. Always wondered what would happen if one was invalid. Now I know!
When I finding out the gift card I bought have non balance on it, I am pretty upset, so I shoot the support team an email regarding this. Their response is quick and effect, generated a refund immediately. Raise offers the best service. Highly recommend to everyone.
I purchased a $100 Cold Stone Creamery Gift Card in October of 2015 and tried to use it in June of 2016. I learned that the value of the card was somehow fraudulently removed in November of 2015. Raise cited a 100 day refund policy which let them off the hook. Apparently this escape clause for them is somewhere on the web site. Bottom line for the consumer is that they need to keep track of all the gift cards within 100 days to make sure you're not ripped off-if you buy many this will get VERY complicated. Better to avoid these cards until they create a meaningful security system
Visited the site and was offered 15% off my first order, so after signing up for emails, texts, etc. I received my promo code and used it to purchase a $100 Sam's Club gift card for $85. A few minutes after placing the order I received a notification that the order had been cancelled without any additional information. I tried to use their chat feature to speak with someone because it says they are available 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday. After fighting with the autobot for 5 minutes it finally transferred me to customer service only to inform me that no one was working and an email would be sent on my behalf.
We purchased a home depot gift card for $50 but it was $0 when we tried to make a purchase In-store for the first time. We called Raise but they would not work with us at all or refund our money. They would not contact the seller or even open an investigation. Anyone would be able to sell "temporary" gift cards on Raise and then use them before the buyer has time to use it himself. Raise needs to investigate the sellers who are actively committing fraud on their website and take responsibility. I highly recommend not buying from Raise as they support stealing your money. I'll be filing a report with the consumer complaints through the usa gov website.
I misplaced a gift card with a hefty balance. Peggy not only put me at ease and assured that we would find a resolution but she was so kind and courteous throughout the whole process. I strongly believe that Raise will continue their growing success because of reps like Peggy!
My gift card did not work and I contacted raise for a refund. They told me wait 24 hours try the card again. I did and then they ghosted me. They block your ip I have proof I used lte and shut off wifi and got through no problem after waiting days. Do not use these peoples service. Scam... chats are 3 min apart. Lte agent wifi my ip no agent.
My first contact with their support team was THEM calling ME. I'd mis-typed my email address and they noticed their messages were bouncing back. The call was to get the correction! How extraordinary! Next, I had a bunch of questions what options meant, placing an order with the newly purchased card, etc., etc., and my hand was held with utmost patience until all was resolved. A rare level of care. &, oh, yes, the site has a vast selection from which to purchase easily.
I'm thinking of hiring a lawyer. They stole $700 from me. I bought 2 gifts cards, one for Home Depot and the other from lowes. Both were at $0. I called so many times, they don't do anything. It's been 3 months and yesterday I called for the last time. Customer service dept is useless and they won't give you the contact information for the claims department. There is no way I'm giving up. I'm not loosing $700. Anybody Else would like to try to get their money back? I wonder if many of us get together if we can all get a lawyer and sue.
I can not praise the customer service of Raise enough. When someone stole the balance of my gift card ($1000!), Raise refunded my money immediately. They were easy to understand, kind, and quick. Full disclosure though, I waited on hold for over an hour on one cell phone and did the "call me back and hold my place in line" on the other cell phone. The "hold my place in line one" never rang, so I highly suggest you hold. In this instance, however, I would say it was completely worth the wait. Thank you Raise! I am a faithful customer who will happily pass along my positive experience to anyone who asks (and some who don't).
I purchased an e-gift card that didn't work. I contacted customer support immediately and received a new code within 12 hours. Not bad for messaging then late at night on a Friday. Great customer service!
It is hard to argue with the savings from the discounted gift cards on the Raise website. I am an experienced buyer, and occasionally will run into an issue with an inactive gift card. These things happen when you are dealing with a third party. Raise has an outstanding 100 day money back guarantee that safeguards the customer from these issues. I have always gotten my claims resolved in a timely manner either through email or contacting customer support on the phone. I will continue to be a happy customer as long as Raise upholds their high standards of great savings and excellent customer service.
Bought two gift cards for a high dollar Home Depot purchase and Raise cancelled the transaction. I used a $5 off for new accounts coupon code and they cancelled as another person at the same address had an account. Don't they know that multiple people live in a house or property. Used Paypal and Home Depot directly for purchase. Raise CS promised to stop sending me solicitation emails but they have not. If you like SPAM, the 5-8% off might be worth it.
Tired to purchase $500+ worth of Walmart gift cards so I could save money before going to shop for some large electronics...
Worst experience ever, never got the gift cards and they held up my funds... I hate this company.
Their customer service crew always exceeds my expectations. I've been a happy customer for years. You can buy with 100% confidence due to their 100 day guarantee policy. Great site. I continue to be impressed by all aspects of RAISE.
Been using Raise for several years now and they have save me quite a bit of money on the restaurants that I go to. Had a few problems in the beginning but the customer service promptly took care of them.
Grant knows how to treat a customer well. Exceptional servicing skills, very polite and thoughtful throughout the resolution of my questions. Its because of people like Grant that I'll continue to do business with Raise. Keep up the good work!
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
Answer: Susan, we're sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. Can you please send an email to member.success@raise.com with the email address associated with your account so that we can look into this for you?
