I ordered saxophone accessories, and order was pending for three weeks, with no information on shipping date untill I called Dean to get info. I had to call numerous times with no response.
I would not recommend this store to anyone.
I purchased a mouthpiece for a student and six weeks later I'm still waiting. No indication they were out of stock and I even paid for expedited shipping. Not one communication from Pro Winds about my order. They take the money and run it seems like. I'll never do business with them again! Horrible service!
I've placed multiple orders and have been very pleased with the price and service. Communication was also good. I did have a small concern with the silver finish on one of the mouthpieces. This was not a problem caused by Pro Winds. They responded quickly and went above and beyond to resolve my issue. I'm very satisfied and I'll definitely use Pro Winds again.
Placed order almost a month ago and the delivery status of item is still pending (not shipped yet). Company will not give updates on status of item unless I badger them multiple times. I do not recommend doing business with this company unless there are no other options.
I ordered Bari Sax case on April 20,2022 and paid for it with a credit card. As of June 10,2022 I've not received it.
I spoke with the owner Dean 3 weeks ago and he assured me it will be delivered shortly. I've left 2 phone calls this week for someone to return my call and give me information like tracking number, carrier etc. and haven't heard back from anyone. I'm very disappointed.
I ordered a trumpet folder for my son's band camp that was supposed to arrive within 1 to 3 business days. I paid almost the price of the product for this to ship soon because his band camp started the following Wednesday. The actual product didn't get to us until Friday afternoon the following week. I'm so glad we had a local store that had what he needed right away. I did reach out to customer service and sent them the USPS number that we shipped the product back asking for a refund. No one has responded to me about this refund (I have emailed multiple times and left a voicemail - all unanswered) and we are very disappointed. I'm not even sure we will get our money back. I do not recommend this place.
This company never answers the phone. The recording says all customer service agents are busy. I don't think they have anyone working in customer service. They never call back after you leave a message. I did get an email about the status of the order, but that stopped too. I think this company is a fraud. Do not buy anything that you expect to receive. You will never hear from them. They said they were processing the order on October 6th. Are they walking to over?
I have been searching for an upgrade to my saxophone for awhile and had a lot of unanswered questions. Finding Pro Winds, I was able to talk to a customer service representative, Dean, right away. Dean was friendly and genuinely interested in making sure I got the right saxophone for me. I absolutely recommend using Pro Winds as a resource when deciding your next woodwind.
I recently ordered a beautiful Selmer Bass Clarinet and ProWinds had the best pricing. I spoke to the owner in person and he was generous and knowledgable. While I typically try to buy from a local music store, on this the price difference was significant. Thank you, ProWinds, for making my retirement dream come true!
Over a month now, order status "pending", no replies to emails. Don't! Only a 60 dollar (or so) mouthpiece but going to have to fight it, etc to make sure these a holes don't walk with my dollars. DON'T!
Only gave 1 star because that was the lowest option. Paid $80 for a neckstrap. 2 weeks later, I called and he said it must have gotten lost in the mail. He said he would send another in the mail. He did not. Called again, promised he would send another out and give me the tracking for it. He DID do that and funny enough it conveniently got lost in the mail... again. I ordered the first one end of June. It's been two months. I could have used that neckstrap for gigs the entire summer. NOPE! Ordered the same thing from Amazon and got it two days later.
The company itself doesn't seem to be a scam, necessarily, but good lordt, be prepared to wait a LONG time for your stuff and not hear any updates. I contacted them by phone and it just rang forever, so I emailed them instead, no response. I placed an order September 21,2021, and on December 15,2021, I received only half my items. Do not buy from ProWinds.
I called on Feb 14 to check the availability of a Besson cornet. Dean checked and immediately called me back to say that there was one available. I placed the order and received the cornet on the 23rd. I am very happy with my Pro Winds experience!
I purchased a Bach Strad trumpet maintenance kit over 6 weeks ago from the Prowinds online store. My credit card was charged and paid within days but I still have not received the product! I have tried several time to call the number on the website and also on my credit card bill but can not reach anyone and no one ever returned my message. I'm not sure this is a legitimate business. It seems like a scam. Credit card billed and you never hear from them again. I would not recommend using this site let alone buy an expensive musical instrument from them. I'm glad I only got scammed for a maintenance kit! That's a sad statement isn't it?!?!
Placed order ******* and have not received any response about the shipment status. Send requests via Facebook, messenger, e-mail with no feedback. The order amount was already debited from my credit card!
I placed an order with them in October 2020 and have not received my order. I called a few weeks after placing the order because I had received no communication beyond the initial placement. They said that they were waiting on the manufacturer to fill the order. Now after 8 months and no response at all to two voice mails, I am still waiting.
It's a shame that the minimum rating is 1 star, rather than zero.

I received my package from them today (6/3/2021). It appears to be complete. As others have pointed out, they really need to communicate with their customers: Give estimates on how long an order may take; send updates via email; answer their phones; and return/reply to customer queries.
Even 8 months for delivery would be acceptable to me (I was in no rush), provided there was some kind of feedback/updates.
Pro winds is thee ultimate scam website. Wankers robbed me out of some good money in August it's November now haven't gotten anything, they don't answer their phones, wont reply to emails. If by some miracle they do eventually send my package I swear I still won't buy anything from them again
Ordered an Alto mouthpiece and several other stuff on March 18. They charged my credit card immediately and my order went into cyber silence. Beginning of last week I told them that I would take legal action without any further delay if they didn`t get back to me asap.
In addition I wrote to Dean to tell him that I would organize a media accompanied visit in Stillwater MN. Yesterday he phoned me up, I live in Spain, to tell me, that he already had transferred the money back into my account.
This company is just a complete and utter fraud. Should be off the market.
Amazing first time experience in finding a high quality student trumpet. Dean sourced multiple suppliers and arranged to have a horn shipped from Europe to our home. All for a very fair price. Could not ask for better service and consultative support. Thank you.
Bought a saxophone mouthpiece and it never shipped so decided to cancel order. Took 3 emails and 9 calls for them to finally answer on the last call and rudely let me know it was cancelled. I don't mind read so i'm not sure how they expected me to know if they saw my emails or not. Guy was really rude and upset as if it isn't his job to let me know what the details with my order are. Easy to purchase of course but god forbid you make a mistake or want to cancel. Took me hours to finally get some type of response. Just ordered the same mouthpiece from Meridian Winds and it was so much easier and the customer service was superb. Would buy from meridian winds again, definitely not pro winds.
