If your having to book a flight with Priceline READ THE FINE PRINT very carefully!
They will not help you with your tickets for your flight.
They send you to the airlines you flight is with, but they will NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY.

I don't plan to use them ever again.

As far as I'm concerned
They don't care if coronvirus is out there.
They just want your $.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! This company is preying on it's customers because of this virus outbreak. Not only has my travel insurance magically disappeared from my trip in April, which has happened to countless number of people I have talked to, they are changing all my flights causing me to miss the events that I was flying to get to in the first place. When I talk to them about it, they say to call a number. When I call the number, they say they are only dealing with people whose flights leave within 72 hours. Well they changed my flight times to 36 hours later, which means by the time I call 72 hours before my flight, it will actually be 36 hours before my flight. I also have a car rental purchased through them for my original flight, which they also refuse to assist me with. I just want to cancel my flight so I can purchase a new one directly from the airlines, but I can't even get on the phone with anyone. So at this point, it's either take an entirely different trip than I had planned and miss out on all my meetings, or lose $650. They then try to offload the blame to the airlines and remove themselves from responsibility, and even called me a liar when I said my flight insurance was removed from my flight plan. I will never use Priceline again, they are highly unethical and in this time of crisis, screwing over customers and most likely causing customers who are infected with the virus to travel regardless of not feeling well so that they don't lose money. Priceline is assisting the spread of the coronavirus, not trying to help stem it's spread.

I booked a hotel through Priceline back in January and subsequently have had to cancel due to COVID-19. For the past two months I have been on the phone with Priceline trying to get a refund for the hotel but have only been given a runaround each time as to why they couldn't process one. I called the hotel chain to find out that the hotel I was booked in was closed due to the pandemic! Priceline gave me the excuse that they couldn't process a refund or modify the reservation because they needed to contact the hotel for approval. DO NOT USE PRICELINE. Book directly and save the hassle.

Priceline, like every travel site I am aware of, is ridiculous. First, get the best price you can on any airline travel site, priceline, expedia, travelocity, etc. Then go to that airline, same dates, same flight and you'll find the same price. HOWEVER, if your travel plans change, if you deal directly with the airline, although you may pay for a change, or pay a different amount for a flight, at least you can make a change. It's almost impossible to do it for less anywhere else. And in most cases, so sorry Charlie if you deal with a general travel site. I never used Priceline before a trip to another city for 10 days, a few weeks ago. I only rented a car through Price Line. When I got to my car, (1:30 AM) what priceline called a mid sized car, avis called a compact. My knees were in my eyeballs. SO I up graded to a real mid size car, not thinking too much about it. You guessed it, I got charged the Priceline charge plus an additional charge by Avis. BUT, my gripe is not that I was charged additonal, I know price line rules. It ws that I was totally mis lead about car sizing by PriceLine. And that sucks! Oh, by the way, I could have gottent he same price from Avis for my car. Priceline was of no benefit. Tricked again!

I was searching for a three star hotel in the fort myers/naples area and priceline gave me clarion hotel for $120 a night. Priceline charged me this price however when I checked on the clarion hotel price, it showed that the price was actually $99 a night. Not only did priceline overprice the hotel but they also wrongly rated the hotel as a three star hotel. The clarion hotel staff also confirmed to me that the clarion hotel fort myers was a two star hotel. They even complained to me that priceline is deliberately misrepresenting facts about their hotel and making their work very hard as they keep being yelled at by unhappy customers. It really did look like a one star hotel to me. I immediately asked for a refund but priceline only accepted to refund the difference the hotel was offering their room for and what they(priceline) had charged. Priceline chose to stick to keeping the rest of the money and threatened that I would lose the money if I dont stay in the hotel. I was forced to stay in this dingy hotel with my child and found the hotel very filthy and smelled bad. Be very careful with priceline as they are daylight thieves. As for me, thats the last time I ever use priceline.com

I booked a trip through Priceline in February 2020 for my fiance's birthday to travel to Egypt for May 2020. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we were unable to travel. We were at the height of the pandemic and the city that I live in was a hotspot. I called Priceline numerous time to inform them and the representatives were asking for proof of the pandemic, which is ridiculous and they refused to refund me for the trip while every other company in this industry refunded their customers due to the pandemic because the pandemic is not within the customers control. I had to call numerous times and eventually got my credit card company involved. I was unable to get a refund for the hotel and they sent me on a chase to call between the hotel and priceline numerous times. They were not helpful in assisting me with the refund. Till this day, I am extremely upset because I have been a long time customer of priceline. They would not even offer a credit to me for use at a later point in time. Instead, I am at a lost of my hard earned money. Terrible customer service. I will no longer be a customer of priceline.

I made a mistake in booking the hotel and I immediately called the hotel and explained the situation asked for the procedure for a refund. I was told a refund would be approved and to call priceline. I called priceline (name of operator unknown) and explained the situation. I was emptathized with and told that even though the purchase isn't refundable, that an exception could be made in a situation like this as long as the hotel agrees. I was put on hold a bunch of times while priceline tried to reach out to the hotel. This was unsuccessful so I was told priceline would confirm refund status in a few days. I found out today I won't be refunded even though parties at that time agreed I'd have one. I immediately recognized the mistake at booking and needed help to rectify the issue and priceline failed me. I'm very disappointed and I'll probably encourage my friends and loved ones to use other platforms in the future if the issue isn't rectified. This was an unfair outcome I won't forget.

They owe me, now almost 10 yrs, $200 for a roundtrip ticket to Michigan that was unusable. They knew it and didn't give a flip.

I told them I needed to fly in on Thursday evening and out on Friday evening and they sold me a ticket that flew me in on Thursday evening but flew me out the very next morning - no time to even think about getting to my appointment much less trying.

Told them no sane person could think that I wanted to fly into MI for a sleepover and then fly immediately out, but they said I asked for Thursday in and Friday out and got it. NO REFUND

RUN FAR AND FAST FROM THESE GUYS, FAR AND VERY FAST

I needed a room in College Park, MD so I bid on Priceline and got one. The only problem is that it was in Beltsville, MD and not in College Park, MD. They don't tell you clearly that surrounding towns are included, or a part of, another town (they make stuff up to suit them best). Instead, it's disguised very deceivingly on a map that nobody really looks at - which is why they do it. Make sure you read and look at everything and go over it with a fine tooth comb before placing a bid. Beltsville was 15 minutes from where I needed to be. Normally this would not be a problem but when you factor in the commute with beltway traffic it becomes 45 minutes away. I had to book another location - not with Priceline and I'll never use it again! I submitted a fraud charge with my CC company - I don't really anticipate getting it back but making Priceline take the time to go through the motions with paperwork I've just created for them is satisfying. I would encourage anyone and everyone to do that.

BEWARE!
September 6, 2022

09/03/2022 Hotel was basically a halfway house with scary long term residents. It was a long drive and we were tired so I was willing to see the room. Online it had medium reviews and was said to be nonsmoking however the room reeked of cigarettes so bad my daughter felt sick and there were burns on the bedspreads all over the tub and floors. There were no towels or rags they were all in the wash according to the maid and the bathroom door had been kicked in and would not lock or latch shut and the trim around the door was coming off. Front desk said I had to go through Priceline for a refund and the number in the itinerary email was automated and rejected any of the information I entered after 20min I gave up and called nearby hotels and everyone was booked for the holiday weekend. Had to drive 40min away to a hotel suggested by a family member and of course had to pay full price. The next week I was able to find a number online that accepted my information and found my trip. I could barely understand the person's ascent and after hearing my bad experience was told all they could do was give me 15% off my next booking. After not giving up he finally put me through to his supervisor who informed me that he would have to contact the hotel for their refund (Priceline's) and then they would refund me but it would be up to the (shady) hotel manager. Basically a cat and mouse game and I'm out for that hotel plus the other one I had to get.

They have a no change - no cancellation policy. I was attending a conference and it got moved one week up and all I wanted to do was change my reservation to reflect that, and they wouldn't. I even called AMEX to have them help and they wouldn't. This is how priceline makes their money on reservations!

DON'T EVER USE PRICELINE EVER AGAIN!

WORST company ever!
October 1, 2015

This company sucks so much that there are no words in dictionary to describe them. I wasn't able to travel because of an earthquake in the destination. The airline initialized refund to everyone and when I called Priceline, they didn't issue me a refund and kept hanging up on me. I will never in my life buy any service from this company. The WORST company I have ever dealt with. WORST WORST WORST WORST WORST! This company disgusting!

If there were a zero rating, it would be too high.
These people will give you a hotel that is totally opposite what you chose, and then when you tell them it was all wrong they will outright LIE to you, telling you they will refund you if you rebook. DO NOT DO IT! They will not refund your money at all and you will pay for TWO BAD EXPERIENCES.
CHEATERS LIARS AND CROOKS!

False advertising
January 22, 2020

We booked a hotel because it had free breakfast a swimming pool and the photos looked nice. But basically this hotel is false advertising and unsafe and falling apart. Our first room was smoking and not supposed to be at all. The floor had big holes in the floor that the covered with new carpet, and the smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling. I asked for a non smoking room like we ordered and was treated as if it was my fault. I did get a new room that the was non smoking but the window would not shut all the way and the hotel clerk has someone doing very lound maintenance at 10pm. When I asked if they always do maintenance that late because it was keeping us up and she said fine I'll tell them to stop sanding the pool floor. So I guess that the pool didn't work either. I was scared to look. Also the clerk had her kids running around and sitting behind the counter like it was daycare. The free breakfast was mostly made up of white bread and hostest cinnamon rolls opened up from the packaging and placed in a clear display. If it weren't for the clean bed I would not have even stayed. L, so it's got a few positives... but now I have to jump through hoops to talk to someone at Priceline about the condition of this hotel.

NAME YOUR OWN PRICE BS
October 28, 2015

I tried the name you own price deal because of their ads saying that SAVE UP TO 60% ON HOTEL... I PUT $80 ON THE BIDDING PRICE, AND ALL I GOT $48 / NITE $#*!TY TYPE OF HOTEL.

I complained about it, called the customer service and they said they can't do anything except refunding me the difference. WHATTT?!
If I don't mind to stay in that kind of hotel, I would have put $25 for the bidding price.

And the worst things is. The customer service doesn't even feel like they care enough to try to resolve this problem futhermore and just hang up on me.

I totally understand about name your own price non refundable policy. But at the same time I feel that they don't hold up their end of the bargain by giving us a lower price hotel. TOTALLY FALSE ADVERTISEMENT ( up to 60% off on hotel... get 3 star hotel for 2 star hotel price and so on)

Priceline sent us multiple emails confirming our flight and hotel even up to the day of our check-in. Some emails were from Booking.com as well as Pricing.com, which was confusing. However, since they had the same confirmation # and information, I never questioned it.
The hotel did not have any record of our reservation. We tried to reach Priceline, but had to leave a message instead of talk to a rep! We called multiple times before someone called us back. (It took over an hour to get ahold of someone at Priceline or Booking.com to help us! This is totally unacceptable.) Priceline blamed Booking.com and told us to call them. Well, the same thing happened with Booking.com -- we were forced to leave a message and wait for a call back. The hotel staff finally called Booking.com through the private number. The Booking.com rep hung up on the staff the first time, for reasons unknown. Then when our hotel host got hold of another Booking.com rep, she could not get a straight answer on why they never sent the reservation to the hotel. They argued about a cancellation fee, even though the hotel would have gladly accepted our reservation if Booking.com could have pushed it through right then. However, while the hotel rep was on the phone with Booking.com, I received an email from Booking.com that my reservations were canceled due to no availibilty at the hotel! What? The hotel had a room available. Long story short, we had to book directly with the hotel. This was such a disappointing experience. Never again will I use Priceline or Booking.com.
