I stayed at motel 6 in grand preiry tx i am not happy there laundry machine was broken no sign no tefund on the money i spent for soap or the machine very unfreindly i was told it was individually owned. They gave me the cheepiest room they had no microwave no fridge that they advertised no movie channels and the motel did have movie channels. Continental breakfast coffie. I do not know y price line is involved with this motel i am thinking about not using priceline in the future. I am a lowel costomer and am very pissed off. I am out 5 dollars they would not give me back.
I don't know where to begin. Priceline is a joke.
I booked a trip with an ex to Halifax in August 2017. Right before, we broke up. We were instructed that we would be charged a fee but could rebook the flight at a later date.
I call in October 2017 to work out the details of the credits. I'm told that I have a flight credit for $250 (our of the $350 I spent originally). I call back two days later to book and that flight credit goes down $25 with an additional fee added. She woman explains that I was misinformed by a previous rep.
I find a flight that is $600 on Priceline's website. I would like to book that flight. Sure enough, that $600 isn't valid for rebooking and the price shoots up $675 ($75 more than the website). So, my $350 originally spent is now worth $150 ($350 minus $100 minus $25 minus $75).
Long story short, I take the hit because I don't want to leave any money on the table.
I book. I explicitly ask them NOT to send the confirmation email to my ex's email address that is on file. What do they do? Send the conformation email to my ex's email address on file. Not only that, they completely FAIL to send it to me.
I use the chat feature furious over yet another inconvenience. The woman on the chat can't help me.
I call their system. She assures me that the confirmation email has been sent to my email address. I hang up and refresh my email inbox. Nothing.
Priceline sucks. Steer clear at all costs.
IF I COULD GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE 5 star review I would. In the beginning of March I booked a trip to Florida and canceled the hotel within a week which was good enough to get a full refund. As of today (5/31) I still have not received it. This was the 10th contact (13th if you count the 3 times they hung up on me) since this saga has started. All paperwork for proof of transaction and charges was submitted AND approved by them multiple times. Then today they said that they cannot link this transaction type to the property (EVEN THOUGH THIS WAS APPROVED BY THEM). I will no longer use a company and that DOES NOT SUPPORT OR CARE about their customers. It is a travesty that this is going on for so long...
I checked out of hotel in Louisville on March 14,2020 due to an event being cancelled over Coronavirus. Hotel ok'd refund. After an hour wait on chat, finally got Audry. I explained why I cancelled and that hotel requested Priceline call them and they would refund. She she called hotel and they did not ok as Audry was not clear when she called that it was due to cancelled event. I called hotel while I had her on chat and hotel said she did not inform them it was due to event cancellation and they ok'd. Asked Audry simply call them back. She REFUSED and said hotel needed to call Priceline. She then disconnected the chat. So, because Audry at Priceline did not do her job correctly when she called to let them know it was due to cancellation, I cannot get refund. Clearly, the hotel is not going to call and be on hold for over an hour when Priceline, Audry, could have called and resolved immediately. I recommend Expedia or any site other than Priceline. I would have called but at this time, if it is not a trip within next 72 hours, they will not speak to you. There is nowhere to email them either.
I called to make changes to my flight and to cancel they sent me to everybody but a person who could help I even had insurance on the ticket an they told me the insurance was a 3rd party they have nothing to do with I explained I had a death in the family an they did not care they told me send them documents to get my money back I will never use this service again just go directly to the air port it will be less hassle Im very dissatisfied with this service makes me feel everyone in America is scamming people out their money
Stole my Daughters money and cancelled her flights.
My daughter, (20 yrs. Old), is a CNA at a hospital in Michigan. She had saved up to buy plane tickets to North Carolina and back to Michigan to see me, (her dad), on her Birthday weekend. I ended up getting some time off from work so I went up to Michigan shortly before her trip. I told her she should ride with me down to North Carolina so she could experience the Mountains and see some cool, new things and then take her return flight home. She contacted Priceline and let them know that she would be driving down and was also trying to see if she could get some of her money back for those flights. They informed her that she would have to cancel all of her flights to receive anything back, we understood. Shortly after getting to North Carolina we received an email from Priceline that they had canceled my daughters return flights because she didn't make the flights down and they would not be returning any of her money. After several phone calls between Priceline and United Airlines, (United Airlines, Where the guy laughed at my daughter and hung up the phone on her), we finally found out that it was in Priceline's policy to keep your money and cancel your return flights, even though you paid for them.
I had to purchase a new return flight for her and they did nothing.
I was so incensed I waited months to write a review of Priceline. Apparently truth in advertising is not something that can be enforced. I offered a bid on a hotel, looking for a big savings. The Priceline response was "too little" and came back with an amount that was quite a bit higher, but would be accepted. I took the offer. When the name of the hotel was revealed, I found that it was one block from the edge of the geographic area, far from the action and most of the other hotels. When I attenpted to book a room on that hotel's website, the quoted price (no coupons, no ability to get a special rate) was $4 higher than Priceline's cost. So, all the wasted time with Priceline to save less than 2%. I complained to the BBB, and the Priceline response was what appeared to be an off-shored form letter with poor grammar that addressed a different complaint than the one I made. I rebutted the letter and the BBB response was essentially that the company responded to my complaint and they blew off my rebuttal. I think Priceline maintains a good rating with BBB, but my experience explains how that can happen. All Priceline has to do is make a response, it doesn't have to make sense, it doesn't have to satisfy the customer. I will never utilize Priceline again, and I advise you to avoid it like the plague. I am not surprised to see the incredibly bad rating it has on this website, but I just had to add my own experience.
The hotel we booked in our reservation package was not open when we arrived after flying thousands of miles and getting our rental car. It said on the signs outside closed for remodeling. When we called Priceline to switch us to a new hotel they said there was nothing they could do except cancel our reservation and weren't sure how long it would be before we were getting our money returned. They were rude and disinterested in the fact that we did not have enough money to pay for another hotel nor that they had ruined our vacation. We had not been on any type of vacation in almost three years. We asked for a supervisor and were kept on hold for more than 45 minutes. Then told we would eventually get a callback. The supervisor was even more rude and refused to help. I repeatedly asked to speak to someone in the US and she refused to transfer me. She offered to refund our money again to which I responded Fine. What else could I do? I checked in today about our refund and the person I spoke with said they had not even started to process my refund because they said I did not confirm the cancellation. So frustrating! There is nothing I can do with that reservation or hotel, I said fine when they asked about refunding my money and I didn't confirm my cancellation?!? I am not sure if I could be any more upset at this point!
I RENTED A CAR WITH HERTZ THROUGH PRICELINE AND I WAS CHARGED TWICE. ONE BY P. L AND 2ND BY HERTZ. I CALLED PRICELINE TWICE AND THEY DID NOT RESOLVED THIS ISSUED.
TOTAL RIP OFF! I ADVICED YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM PRICELINE.
I used the "name your own price" option and bid a bit higher than I wanted to, especially knowing that an added charge of around $12 would be tacked on for tax and fee but I went ahead and did it anyway. The tax and fee is something that is known and it is shown to you before you book it, so there is no complaint there. But the motel I got was a dump and they had the gall to ask for a "resort fee" of $10. They said it was for breakfast, internet etc. The breakfast was a joke... Outrageous! I have heard of resort fees, but not at a one star motel. I called Priceline about this and of course they said that there was nothing they could do about it. Bull! I suggested that they have the hotels add their "resort fee" to the original price and he gave me some song and dance about how that wouldn't be possible. I said it wasn't fair that I should get hit with this. I said, "what if they wanted to charge $100 extra for everything, such as the watching T. V., taking a shower, etc. I'd have to pay it because they know they have me over a barrel. The customer is at their mercy and you don't want to correct this? Don't you care about your customers? The prices for these dumps are getting higher and higher and now with the possible added "fee", I won't be using "name your own price" again. I'm not willing to take that chance. IMO, if I don't use "name your own price", I don't see the point in using Priceline at all really. AirBnB seems to be the better bet.
{
I have used them twice. First time I thought it wasn't good but hey everyone makes a mistake. Just booked again and they gave me a crummy motel again. DONT USE THEM!
Absolute Priceline rip-off. Reserved an Advantage rental car on Priceline at a very low rate. Rental was advertised on Priceline as unlimited mileage. I live in Austin and used the Austin airport facility. I drove to Houston and back over a two day period. Only at the Advantage counter I was told there would be a high mileage charge of $20 per day. This mileage charge made the final cost of the rental more than double the price I paid on Priceline. I complained to Priceline and was referred to read the fine print of the "Important Information" section of the Priceline rental agreement. Hidden away was a statement that local rentals subject to mileage restrictions. Priceline advertises Unlimited Mileage yet allows the car rental agencies they represent to hide their high mileage practices. In my defense, the Advantage website has no mention of high mileage fees. I told the Priceline representative that I am a frequent Priceline customer and that from hereon I would never use Priceline again. The rep couldn't care less and immediately ended my phone call. Buyer beware!
On 6/24/2013 I made a Name Your Price reservation on the Priceline website. I requested a 4-star hotel and named my price. Priceline returned a Double Tree hotel at the price I selected. The hotel that was accepted is definitely not a 4-star hotel; however, Priceline has it listed as a 4-star hotel. In the description of hotel star ratings on the Priceline website, the Double Tree is provided as a example of a hotel at the 3-star and 3 and 1/2 star level. It is not listed as an example as a 4-star hotel. Hilton is a 4-star hotel not Double Tree (operated by Hilton). Because the hotel rating conflicts with their own description of hotels and the company was grossly misleading, I requested a full refund. I spoke with two customer service representatives who said they were unable to process the request. Additionally, I asked that they apply their Best Price Guarantee to my reservation as I paid $145/night through Priceline and the Double Tree hotel website quotes a price of $139/night. The second representative I spoke with, Sujey M., said that she looked up the room rate online and found a rate of $169/night as the lowest rate. I took a screen shot of the rate from the Double Tree website on my computer and offered to email it to her; she said I could not do that. I also asked if we could call the hotel to clarify and she said it had to be online pricing only. Priceline grossly misrepresented the Double Tree as a 4-star hotel (conflicting with their description online) and they refused to honor the pricing guarantee.
I thought i was reserving a car but was charged, and when i tried to make changes to the reservation, i was told i could not. Lost my money. Total Ripoff. Stay away.
I will NEVER book with Priceline AGAIN! They allowed the SLEEZY run down not fit for a animal to stay in Petersburg Hotel in Petersburg VA to scam me & ain't no telling how many others out of my money! I make reservations & pay in advance to stay there. I get there & SWEAR I'm in a bad joke from the ACTUAL look & conditions of this hotel compared to the pictures on Priceline's website. They tell me they don't have a room for me after sending me to about 5 filthy used uncleaned rooms. They tell me to call Priceline & tell them I couldn't stay because they didn't have a room for me. I call Priceline they gone tell me it's the hotels policy that no refunds be made. So me along with I don't know how many others booking rooms through Priceline at this sleezy bag hotel just to get there not have a room & be out of our money. I can't BELIEVE Priceline is backing such false advertising dirty rotten money taking scheme like this!
My flight I purchased through Priceline was canceled one day prior to takeoff. The airline, Hawaiian Airlines, stated that the change had to be made through Priceline. The Priceline agent said they couldn't do it and even if I talked to a Supervisor they would say the same thing. They claimed they were unable to authorize a change. SERIOUSLY? BEWARE PRICELINE!
I searched for hotels near a certain zipcode. The site offers a sort of "deal" where you can get a very substantial discount on a choice of 3 hotels. They dont make it obvious that the hotel will be chosen for you, it instead appears as if you get to choose which hotel you want.
I thought I was booking a hotel near my destination. I ended up being booked at a hotel that is an hour away. I told them this was a mistake and will ruin my trip, and that I'm more than happy to pay for a different hotel. Customer service told me that agreeing to the purchase was agreeing to no refund. This wasnt made obvious either.
Basically, I was scammed out of $250 dollars for not reading the "fine print". Youd think there would be some leniency during a pandemic, but no. No refund, no attempt to correct the issue, Priceline just collects the money for a hotel room that will literally be empty because it's useless to me. And I have to buy an entirely different hotel now, which will bring the total lodging amount of this 4 day trip to well over $600.
Thanks Priceline! I will never give you business again.
I booked a flight thru Priceline at the end of March, purchased Travel Insurance as well, in case anything came up. What a waste of time and money! My trip was cancelled, Priceline refused to help me and the Travel insurance told me the only way I was eligible for a refund was if I was dead, was injured on my way to the airport, lost my job, etc... Since none of these applied, I get nothing. I had to call the Airline myself to cancel the flight (after 4 calls to the Travel Insurance and to Priceline). I now have a credit with the airline (cuz they don't refund when tickets are bought thru Priceline), plus I have to use it within the next 10 months, pay an addt $150 change flight fee, which is normal, and also a $50 re-issue fee. I WILL NEVER USE PRICELINE AGAIN. It's more stress and aggrivation than it's worth.
I booked a car for Jan 21-25, meant to book for Jan 22-25. I hadn't realized the wrong date was on the box. To make matter worst, Priceline's system did not pick up on what was about to be a systematic error. I was creating the booking on Jan 21, at around 9pm at night so the system should have realized an error was happening. No it booked. When I realized it had booked the car for right at that moment, when the actual rental car place was closed as well, I called in to Priceline Customer support for help.
She told me she could see how that happened. She told me to go ahead and book the reservation I need so that the next day support would see I had to rebook due to the error.
Here it is 4 days later and no refund yet. I contacted Priceline again and what a waste of time. I get an off shore support women with a really hard accent giving me the run around. Now I have to literally file a claim against them for lying and for trying to rob me of $170 for a mistake.
I followed their instructions to go ahead and book again so it could show I booked a new rental. Wtf is wrong with these crooked online middle man companies? I am about to write to the better business bureau next. It's criminal white collar crime what they do! During a pandemic stealing money from the public and then not having intelligent support agents to fix it.
This started on Nov 5th. I booked a last min flight to Cleveland OH out of Fayetteville NC and the plane broke down. This was not Pricelines fault. After sitting the airport for 8 hours we called American Air and requested a refund. They said yes and I have the emails proving it. They did say that it had to go back to Priceline because that is who I booked with. When calling Priceline they said it only except checks from the airline and It would be 10-15 days. I called a week later just to check the status and I was told that they considered me a no show and not refunding the money. After fighting with them and sending the email stating the airline was refunding the money they said ok call back in a week. Fast forward to today. Called and after being on hold for 2 hours they told me American Air has to refund the money straight to me... guess what... That was a lie. I called them on it and they called the airline who told them to release the money. At the end of this they told me it would still be another week before they could do anything and They were only refunding 220 out of the 700 because I could have driven to Charlotte and got the connecting flight. Charlotte is a 3.3 hour drive The flight was 1 hour and 6 mins we had a 1 hour layover so where was I suppose to make up the other hour and 24 mins? Not real sure,,,,,,, the fight continues. I will never ever recommend Priceline to anyone ever Hope they go bankrupt and close their doors for the way the treat people and the lies the tell.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
