I NEVER write reviews but was forced to on this site. We scheduled a Father's day get away this weekend (June 17th -21st) in Las Vegas as the Venetian. We booked through prestigia and once we got here the lady at the front desk told us the reservation was cancelled! Luckily, because of the covid crisis the hotel wasn't packed and we were able to book another room. No email notifications were ever sent to us. Then when we got to the room I check my checking account and the full amount of the trip was charged to my debit card! I write an email, they asked for my reservation number and no response after that. I also tried to call the number on the agents email that responded to me and I get a response that the caller is not available.
Bottom line is this company is a complete scam. Stay far away from them.
Please do not use this company, they have a clause in their T&C's "Prestigia.com has no libility and will make no refund in the event of any delay, cancellation, overbooking, strike, force majeure event or other causes beyond their direct control"
This means you CANNOT claim any more back through your credit card. After contacting Prestigia due to Covid 19 they would not refund any money so I contacted my credit card company who advised me of their clause. We had booked New York New York hotel in Las Vegas after speaking to them they advised they had refund the money to Prestigia but Prestigia will not pass the refund to their customers.
If I could give Prestigia zero stars I would. This is by far the worse travel experience I have ever had. I booked a trip for a vacation to Cabo. My trip is not planned until September 2020. I booked in June. It was supposed to be free cancellation until September 20. I cancelled in June! Upon cancellation my credit card was charged for 100% of the amount due. I contacted them and was told everything would be handled according to their policy. They sent me the policy saying it was a "free cancellation". I noticed a few days after cancelling that no refund had posted to my Visa, so I contacted prestigia again and was told I would be receiving a credit for future travel use, and not be receiving a refund. THAT IS NOT A FREE CANCELLATION! I am now having to pursue a claim with my bank to get my money back. After multiple emails back and forth with Prestigia, I am gaining no headway. Nowhere on their website does it say anything about free cancellation resulting in a credit. I have booked with Expedia, Travelocity, trip advisor, Costco, booking.com And others and never has a free cancellation meant anything besides just that. I will never use this company again and will be telling all my friends and family to stay clear. Do yourself a favor and never use them.
I canceled my reservation 4 months ago and I keep getting the run around about refund processing time... Its been 4 months and they still have my money.

HORRIBLE COMPANY! I am a frontline ER nurse. I came down with COVID and was unable to travel to Boston for my 50th bday. Unfortunately, I booked my hotel through prestegia.com. They are refusing to give me a refund or credit for the $2000 I paid for a trip I cannot physically take. SUCH A SCAM! NEVER BOOK WITH PRESTEGIA.COM
March 23,2020, I contacted Prestigia, During COVID-19 I asked to get a refund or change my room to a later month, because of high risk with medical problems we have it would be difficult to travel during this pandemic time of COVID - 19. Customer Service has been non supportive. I contacted customer services over 5 times the email, the numbers is not working, *******902), (1*******902). I asked for management in two emailed conversation. Today is June 11th I still haven't heard from management.

Despite "Free Cancellation" refuse to refund money, credit only. Horrible costumer service, nobody pics up a phone (one cell phone line?). If you chance booking with them use a credit card that can get you your money back!
We booked four hotel rooms in Paris for three nights via prestigia for June. The borders are still closed and we are unable to make our trip. Prestigia refuses to provide any form of credit despite the French government citing that all travel and booking agencies are required to provide reservations through September 2020 with a travel voucher to be used within 18 months. Terrible company who is profiteering off of this terrible situation. I will never book with prestigia again.
If the price seems too good to be true, it is. Do yourself a favor and do not book with Prestigia. Pay the few extra dollars and get a reputable business. I had made a reservation and had to cancel because of Covid 19. I canceled weeks in advance and within their cancellation policy. However what they don't tell you, it they refuse to refund all the funds you had to pay upfront! You only get credit on a future stay. They do not have that many properties and when you do find one, the rates shown are triple what the rates usually are. I'm upset and out $400. Do not recommend. When I tried to take my case higher up, they closed it.
I saw prestigia's price was lower than booking directly with the hotel on kayak so I booked through them. I got a confirmation from them but the hotel itself could not confirm that the room was booked. The trip was canceled due to coronavirus and I rescheduled my meetings but prestigia would not give a refund, only credit towards another booking (which would be fine if they had given a code or some usable evidence that I have a credit available). When I emailed them to say I wanted to use the credit towards another booking, they said they lost the info and asked for my credit card numbers over email. I've tried to call their customer service numbers and they are all disconnected. They will just take your money and have no intention of actually booking the room or giving you any refund or booking credit to use. Everything has to be done through one of their representatives. I checked with the hotel directly and their price through their site is $60 cheaper than with prestigia. Stay away and avoid the headaches, hopefully they will go out of business soon.
We had a hotel booked for our honeymoon and due to the corona crisis, we were not allowed to travel. At first the offered to refund 75 %. After a call with the hotel and some "insider" information, the prestigia told us that the hotel canceled the booking. However prestigia doesn't refund the initial partial payment and is not willing to do so. Meanwhile I'm not confident that this webpage is respectable at all, as nowhere is an impressum. We forwarded the case already to our lawyer and we encourage you to do so as well!
I would give this site zero stars if I could. I paid more to book a flexible rate and did not receive a full refund, even though the hotel is actually closed! Prestigia is insisting to keep the entire deposit and offer me a credit instead, claiming COVID-19 gives them the right to make an exception to policy in their favor! I continue to request to speak with a member of management and am told they are unavailable since all are working from home. They are dishonest and shady. It's so disappointing because I have used them in the past and now will NEVER book with them again!

Do not use this site, had a trip to Vegas booked and since Covid 19, we were unable to fly to the USA not to mention that Vegas is shut down. I inquired about their cancellation policy and that I would like my money returned to my card and that I would book again once the situation changes. They canceled my room and kept my money.,. I have sent 26 emails asking a Sr. Representative to contact me and still nothing... just a message saying that they are in compliance with their policy
Their website had a glitch that caused my credit card to be charged twice for two separate bookings. I immediately contacted them to notify them of the discrepancy and they refused to cancel the second erroneous booking. I then attempted to cancel the first booking and they refused to refund my money for that in spite of "free cancellations" being advertised. They will steal you money. Do not do business with them.
As other reviews have indicated, it is likely that Prestigia is having liquidity issues and trying to use customer funds to help bridge their cash needs through the Covid crisis. I was careful to make a refundable booking in early April (well after the crisis had unfolded) for a stay in July. However, after coming across reviews like the ones on this site, I became nervous and canceled the booking within 8 hours of my booking. As I feared, Prestigia refused a refund, offering a credit that I am unlikely to ever use. I tried to reason with their customer service and they refused to honor their terms, and invoked "Force Majeure" -- I am not a lawyer but 1. Doubt you can do that to deny someone their rightful funds and 2. If they had done so, they should have updated their terms on their website. My suspicion is they are offering bargain prices just to get a hold of customer funds -- these are likely "bait and switch" prices that they will never honor.
To anyone who has been affected, I suggest you:
1. Initiate a chargeback with your credit card issuer
2. Write to whichever partner led you to Prestigia (eg Google, Tripadvisor, etc) and explain to them what happened and ask them to remove Prestigia as a partner
3. File a complaint with the UK Citizens' Advice Bureau (google UK business complaint)
4. File a complaint with the the local Trading Standards system (google UK trading standards system)
We've been scammed, along with MANY OTHERS, (look at Trustpilot reviews), you don't get your money back if you need to cancel, regardless of Covid19 or anything else.
I wouldn't want anyone else to fail to their ridiculous T&Cs, a tin pot company who frankly deserve to fail & leave the industry to those who have morals & good customer care.
Booked a room for my son's school trip. Decided not to send him to the states so cancelled the room as per the cancellation policy. Got confirmation that the cancellation was approved and my credit card would get 100% refund. One month later, Prestigia emailed and said they weren't honoring their policy and were providing me a credit. Stated that the were using the Force Majeure clause, even though that did not come into affect until after I had cancelled the room.
Called hotel and confirmed that prestigia got a full refund on all hotel rooms, so they are not out any money, but have decided to keep mine.
Fraudulent in my opinion. Don't book through this site... they are taking advantage of this pandemic to line their own pockets.
If I was rating Prestigia on ease of booking and price, I would probably rate them 4 or even 5 star. However, behind this facade lies a world of trouble. I'm posting this review, so that the unwary do not get caught like so many of us. PLEASE look at their Trustpilot reviews and focus on ones who have gone beyond just making a booking. There are years worth of complaints ranging from different charges to ones displayed on website to failure to refund etc.
I didn't do my research properly and booked a few nights in Las Vegas with them. Due to the Coronavirus I cancelled my booking well in advance, secure in the knowledge that I had the guarantee of a 100% refundable rate. Apparently that doesn't mean cash though! Instead I've been offered a voucher for future use?!
I've worked in hospitality for 15 years and NEVER known a refundable booking to refer to a credit note and not cash. They are trying to hide behind the current crisis, but if anything the hotels are being more flexible and not less (kudos to Marriott for refunding my non refundable booking - in cash!). Please don't be fooled by the illusion of saving a little, use a proper 3rd party like Booking.com / Expedia etc or book direct otherwise expect to find yourself disappointed like many more of us!
Answer: I doubt it. I didn't get a refund when I cancelled way before the deadline for free cancellation. I have heard from no one, no one answers the phone. I was on hold for an hour and thirty minutes as " the next one in line" I gave up. Don't waste your time, energy or money on this reservation site.
