Their website is so screwed up that in order to advance to another page, you have to pay a tip (again) to the last driver, thereby costing you double costs. Postmates customer service will not rectify this problem. STAY AWAY! Door Dash is better.
I thought I was going to make monthly installments. Like a regular subscription service. Come to find out the it all comes out at once. Never again. Cancelled and will never order anything through this company. If anyone asks me about it. Steer clear!
Free delivery not real!
I was drawn in by the offer of free delivery for my first use. They never gave me a place to enter the code, and suddenly my order was complete. I wrote to customer service and got, what seemed like, canned answers that just went around in circles. I'll never use again! $5,99 delivery charge on top of fees. No thank you. New users, don't be fooled!
Do not use Postmates! They completely failed to deliver my order and instead brought me only a pastry. After 5 emails to their support team I got 5 different people and nobody seemed to be able to help me. They would not refund me for the delivery fee OR the items. Paid $22 for a pastry I could have gotten next door for $4.
Only use them if you're OK with wrong orders and no refund/paying for items and delivery that you don't actually get. Can't trust a company that doesn't care about not ripping off loyal customers.
Selection is decent but it's really nothing to write home about. Don't be fooled by the "delivery credit" they give to get you to sign up. The delivery charge is only a small part of the actual fees they charge. The bulk of it is hidden under "taxes and fees," in case you were wondering why tax is suddenly 25%. The prices end up being the same or slightly higher than traditional delivery sites like Grubhub except you get the added bonus of seeing where your delivery guy is, which can be either helpful or infuriating.
I was billed $86 dollars for a $27 food order then came in complete (5 items ordered, 1 order missing, 1 order incorrect). The website says I would be refunded 27 dollars in 2 days for the overcharge; bringing the bill down to 54 dollars for 27 dollars worth of food. But what about the missing and incorrect items you ask? The restaurant said call postmates who has no phone number. Their complaint/response email link (I filed 4 complaints in a 2 hour period, none were responded to) is the only way to contact them and they do not respond. The drivers phone was first disconnected then on a second try he hung up. This company is a fraud. I immediately contacted my credit card company to initiate a dispute
I've used Seamless/Grubhub for so long and never had any issues. Visiting my mom, Postmates had the better food options so we figured why not. The total order was one price then once the food was picked up it jumped up $20. TWENTY. This app is a rip off. AND they didn't even deliver everything we paid for. Don't use this app unless you don't care about wasting your money.
In trying to find out why my restaurant is not showing up on customer searches I am on hold for an hour and a half. Finally I get a rep who decides she doesn't like my tone and scolds me about being unprofessional. The whiny snowflake can't be spoken to as an adult. Forget the reason that I'm calling is about the unprofessional service I am getting in the first place. 2 hours later problem not resolved and a pitiful tantrum from a whining child. I guess it's my fault their system doesn't work right and I... the customer am a bad person for attempting resolve.
Postmates seems like an otherwise great service. They're convenient and relatively cheap. However, there is little oversight and they allow their drivers to steal the food from their customers. Granted they'll offer you a refund, they will not address the ongoing issue of a driver picking up the food and making no attempt to deliver or drive towards your address. When you voice your concerns with their customer service they immediately disconnect the call with you forcing you to cancel your membership when in reality that's the absolute last thing you'd want to do. I wish they would clean up their act but because they refuse, they've lost a frequent customer.
My mom decided she wanted Taco Bell for dinner, so we ordered it from Postmates. It's not uncommon for your order to messed up, like leaving something out, and that happened. Now, that's not why I give it a two-star rating. My mom asked for a refund, and they gave her TWO CENTS. That's rude and dismissive. They also didn't ring the doorbell, so we waited downstairs for, like, 20 minutes. The person who delivered it left it on the edge of our porch. The edge. I'm giving it two stars to be generous. We will not be ordering from Postmates for awhile, thank you.
My husband and I always try to give Postmates a try by using their app and using their service however time after time something goes wrong and when we actually reach out to them they with all their power try to find some sort of justification for why we've have the horrible experience. I guess they never heard about the customer is always right. I think we've finally reached the point where they get no more chances from us and a bad review to top it off. This app/delivery service is not worth the time of you want to eat in time
Never got my delivery. 3 days later they claim it was delivered. Can't reach a person to help. Going in circles. I have tried reaching them on the phone. That doesn't work. I just want my money back. This is the worst company I have had the displeasure to deal with. They are crooks and liars.

Ordered from a restaurant, received wrong order. Called restaurant to complain and was told "the guy said you wanted blah blah blah". Some guy said? Here Im thinking that what was ordered on my screen(fried chicken) was displayed or printed out at the restaurant. Not so evidently. That is a crappy way of doing things. Plus, I suggested to the owner that they get a different service because the menu was perhaps worded wrong and the owner berated ME and said I should call them direct next time. WTF? Wont be using Postmates nor ordering from this restaurant again.
They pretend to be Uber, but 8 out of every 10 times I order in San Francisco, I get a "We are sorry, all our couriers are busy." This is on a Tuesday night at 9 pm! Give me a break. Happens all the time. They suck. Also, they won't let you review them without a full name or on your phone. They suck.
First, a couple of weeks ago they over charged me $31 on my order. Tonight, not once but twice they never delivered my orders, and didn't even have the nerve to call me to let me know they were not able to deliver my food. Don't waste your time or money with this company. Door dash or grub hub is a much better value.
I ordered McDonald's last night through them. Everything was going great until the driver delivered my order to the wrong doorstep. I emailed and got refunded instantly thankfully. But then I heard something outside about an hour and a half later. I open my door and there sits my order, cold, gross, and extremely late. The guy didn't even knock to let us know he delivered it. $#*!ing ridiculous. I understand if you couldnt find my apartment but message me, dont leave it on the wrong door step then try giving it to me over an hour after it had sat outside in the cold.
This service is a joke, especially the Unlimited service. Total scam. Placed an order for pick up and delivery 6 hours ahead of time for a medium-sized group at a public event. The order didn't arrive until 2 hours after the agreed upon delivery time and so, of course, the guests gave up. Customer support was nonexistent and designed so that you can't contact them more than once - brilliant strategy bros. We're working hard to spread the word here... do not use this service.
Terrible support. We didn't get a meal and were promised a Full refund from the business. It was never given by Postmates. They gave a credit for their business that expired within weeks (when we didn't receive the order we made). The support is slow and they obviously don't care about their customers. With all the choices out their - avoid this business - we certainly deleted the app already
You all really need to do a better job at streamlining a refund process with merchants that doesnt Involve The run around For the customer. 4 items missing from my order and all they did was blame each other while failing to resolve my refund. Very ghetto.
I am just frustrated and angry at this point but in a nutshell I approached Postmates support over a meal I didn't get that cost me $75.55 and they just don't want to deal with it. I spent 3 days jumping through their hoops that led nowhere and when I told them that I was tired of the runaround and just wanted my refund they just stopped communication. I checked on them on the Better Business Bureau and saw that they have almost 8000 complaints already! Steer clear of Postmates or Uber! (Same company!)

Answer: Their app has all type of glitches and issues they did the very same to me I didn't even sign up for their free trial but I am now having to dispute a charge of 95.88 on my account. I was charged for orders I never got and also I reached out to them multiple times never got anything back. They actually put on the app that the order was resolved when I have never spoken to them this company is a fraud and I do not know why they are still in business! I'd say remove your card information.
