PostMates somehow started charging us monthly a while ago. Sure, I accept partial responsibility for falling for their trap and not catching it right away. However, now that I have written them and asked for a refund and asked for the bills to stop and cancel my account, they are "useless". Its been 3 weeks and all they can say is they will elevate my issue to someone else since they cant cancel my account. Repeated e-mails and a few phone calls (but only got through once) has resulted in no answers or assistance. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR... STAY AWAY FROM POSTMATES at all cost.

Complete racket!

My first time using Postmates yesterday. Only used because my employer provided a gift card, so that we could have lunch delivered to us individually during a meeting. The food total was $26. The service fee $6. The delivery fee $19! Never having used a delivery service such as this, I had no idea how much delivery fees should be. I am just a fool for going ahead and submitting the order. I tried calling the number I found online and was never picked up by a person and sat on hold for 120 minutes 47 seconds. Yes, I intentionally held that long! At the beginning of the call, the computer voice said hold time was 57 minutes. Randomly throughout the call it would say that the hold time was about 2 minutes less than the last time it said what it would be. When it was finally down to "hold time approximately 1minute" it then disconnected me! I tried reaching out through their Facebook site via a message. I explained what had happened and was told there's no issue with the delivery fee as it was during a peak time. Whatever! The order was placed at 10:30 am and had an expected delivery time of 11:06 am. The other co workers who used the service during the same time did not have a delivery charge that high. It was 8 miles from my house. Will never use again and highly recommend no one else to support this sort of business practice.

I joined Postmates as a naive girl in need of some food from restaurants that lacked a delivery service. Since then, I have blossomed into a well-informed adult who is now a part of Postmates' hate club. This journey has been difficult. It has been traumatic. Not only does the food take a long time to arrive, but that is on a good day. Some days, the app says my food is at my front door. This information excites me. What happens next, however, might surprise you (*solemn face looking off into the distance). I go to my door, happy that my order which initially stated would be here in 30 minutes, to find that my order which has taken over an hour and a half because my deliverer decided to run half a marathon around the city of New York never arrived. Where did my food go? Is it out there? Is it okay? Is it in the belly of another? These questions haunt me at night as I drift away into a deep slumber. For all I know, the delivery guy might never have left his couch. Probably just attached his tracker to a cat. Unacceptable! Who goes and attaches a tracker to an innocent kitty? Probably bribed it with some catnip to do the dirty work OR MY CHIPOTLE! GUILTY! POSTMATES IS GUILTY.

This was a simple order. The delivery person placed my order with the restaurant because they don't have a machine like Grub Hub uses. I ordered a pizza and a Shrimp Parmigiana dinner. The delivery person told the restaurant it was a Shrimp Parmigiana Hero! The restaurant asked him if he was sure it was a hero (because I get the dinner all the time) and he said he was sure it was a hero. WRONG! On top of that, I was charged the much higher price for the dinner, not for a hero. When I complained all Postmates did was give me a $6 and change POSTMATES CREDIT! If they can't get one simple order correct, and I've paid a big difference, why would I use them again? Plus the service charges are ridiculous. BUYER BEWARE! If you value your money and want to get what you order, steer clear of Postmates!

Terrible.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. 3 bad experiences in 2 days. I will NEVER use this app again, not even to claim the bull$#*! credit they gave me which covered less than 50% of what they owed me.

The Worst

The one good thing was Taco Bell which made my wife happy. Other then that, food not delivered correctly, Food arrived late where it made the restaurants look bad, driver would not knock and my neighbor had to let me know food arrived and of cause with missing items as driver just drops off. And with that when you call for refund due to all above Post Mates do not care even though restaurants like KFC tries to fix everything and you dispute with credit card you still have to pay no matter what it seems in the real world which makes POST MATES bad.

Worst delivery service

Cancelled order after an hour and a half after ordering. Other few times I ordered they had gotten order wrong. Deleting the app. Will never use them again

I ordered dinner from a local restaurant and this Postmates outfit was the only one this restaurant used.
A week later, we noticed two transactions on our BofA account for $99.99 for some kind of "annual subscription".
BofA must know these guys because they denied both transactions.
Yesterday, I noticed the same $99.99 pending on my Paypal Debit card.
Neither my wife or I willingly agreed to subscribe to a food delivery service. At no time it was clear to us that purchasing a single $80 dinner through postmates would result in joining their Idiot's club.
If they hinted it or even declare it, it was certainly not clear and I am a web developer that has worked in web startups for 30 years. I can usually sniff scams a mile away.
Do not do business with this company. Do not buy food through their service and if your favorite restaurant use them, tell them to stop and use someone else that doesn't try to charge you an annual fee for the privilege to then charge you delivery fees with your food anyway.
They should be ashamed.

Postmates is a fraudulant company. They sat here and charged me 48 bucks for an order that was originally priced at 19.99. The crazy part is that when I placed my order my total xame up to 26.33. After it was delivered it was a whole new price that I did not authorize which came up to 35.98 as a pending charge. I immediately called customer service to find out what the hell is going on but of course I got the run around and no one was able to assist me. The following day the final charhe made from my account was 48 bucks which incuded 43.95 for a 19.99 order + an additional 3.95 for whatever reason they decide to make up. I emailed customer service this time instead of calling but to no avail. They sure as hell have the right one in me. I work hard for my money and I dont take kindly to people stealing from me. I let my bank know that I did not authorize those charges and they will be starting they're own investigation!

HELL NO I WONT RECCOMMEND

Bad customer service

I ordered two item and they only delivered one and person who delivered said they only gave me one order. When I show him postmate web it said clearly two order but some how I only got one order and since restaurant only charged one item they charged me delivery fee and small order fee total 10 dollars extra! I waited 1hour for my lunch and didn't even got full order and charged extra fees! There's no customer service to call only way is Email to them! They replying my email hour later and said sorry we can't refund delivery fee cause small order. I Email them back u didn't get my point I DIDN'T get my order, I only got one instead two! Horrible customer service not worth! Never back with POSTMATE

Nonexistent customer service

Always a very loyal to customer to Postmates and have used them often. When it's good it's good but when it's bad…it's the worst.

Waited an hour for a meal and when it showed that the food had been picked up and was on its way to me I got a message that the order had been cancelled and the restaurant was not taking orders. I tried to figure out what might have happened by using the in-app Help system, attempting to call the driver (no answer), and calling a number I found for customer support which is non-existent and the number does not work.

At this point I am hungry, I am definitely not cooking after waiting an hour for food and so I foolishly put another order into Postmates. This time a little 40% coupon pops up and I think how lucky I am that it will at least be cheaper this go-round. Check out and of course…no discount is given after I look at the receipt. Sigh.

I try all the same methods of communication with no luck and then finally find a way to contact "customer support" through the website and going in through the browser. The guy essentially just tells me he is sorry for any confusion and to have a good night

I am definitely confused now. If you can't tell me why the first one was cancelled at least make sure I get my coupon, mister. I ultimately told him thank you for caring and tried to remain calm and kind so as not to be mistaken for the dreaded "karen" but…Geez.

He said he would escalate it to the next tier via email and he logged out of the chat. I will say that I will be moving to Door Dash from now on ‍

They cheat you out of money so bad that they have you sign a waiver when you start that you wont sue them. Does that say enough? If not Ill tell you they pay. 7 a min to wait for orders, they give you job offers then cancel them after youve already accepted it, they short your pay and have over an hour wait time to speak to someone about it every time. Dont believe me... I cant post number so first try to locate # to postmates( see how easy that is first) Call as a driver to speak with payment and see how long your on hold. If you ask to many questions they just hang up on you. NEVER WILL REFER ANYONE TO THEM TO ORDER OR WORK. SHADY COMPANY stay away. Full of scam and con artists.

I placed an food order at 8:47am and at 10:14am I went to track my order and I get an alert that my order is canceled. If they didn't have the drivers available then my order should've never been accepted. Once it was accepted and waited upon for almost 1 1/2 hrs they should've at the very least sent me credit to be used in the future. I think these types of companies should take some ownership once they accept an order and you waste your time waiting. If you don't have the drivers… don't accept an order or the company should credit you the amount of the order and then they will start managing it better where it hits their bottom line!

The idea is great. Order online and have it delivered to your door. Except not really!

I was down the the flu and ram out of theraflu. I really wanted the nighttime theraflu but decided to get both. After paying 40 bucks I waited patiently for a knock on the door. Nope!
I get a text saying they left the package with doorman - really? Why? I fwt out of bed and rake the elevator to rhe lobby and lo and beholld the order is all weong! And crazier still rhe driver on bicycle came from about 50 blocks away! How that makes sense is beyond me!
Next time I will just do it myself and save a lot of money and frustration!

My daughter ordered food at 3:40 pm & it still was not delivered at 5:30 pm. The driver map showed he was across town, about 30 minutes away & was sitting still. He then drove in the opposite direction from our house! My daughter texted the company & the driver and never got a reply. With no other options left, we canceled our order. But it cost us the WHOLE amount of the food delivery. We were left with NO food and it took our money. WORST DELIVERY COMPANY OUT THERE> Please do not use them.

Postmates is the worst food delivery service known to mankind. They are CONSISTENTLY making mistakes, (ex: not providing refund when food doesn't arrive, the food order placed on the Postmates app not matching with the restaurant, taking an exceptionally long time) and SO many fees associated with orders. When I have Uber eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub there is absolutely NO reason I will ever use Postmates again.

Not the first time i get my order wrong. You don't have a system, i order because i can't drive, now, you messed up my order and want me to go pick up my order? I didn't order from pollo loco, i ordered from you guys. You are going to give us some millions dollars Postmates. Now I'm trying to upload my proof of purchase and this thing don't let me? I have hard copy anyways. Ima sue you for sure. I don't joke.
