I've been buying and selling on Posh for about 2 years. Overall, I've had great experiences and will continue to use them. The only thing I really take issue with is the flat rate shipping. There should be a couple of options for shipping. We're paying $6.79 for express 1-3 day shipping but sellers have up to 8 days to ship before you can cancel? So you're paying for express shipping but it could take up to 2 weeks ( or longer)?!?! That's a bit ridiculous. I think if the seller doesn't ship within 1-3 days, the shipping should be refunded to the buyer.
Horrible seller. I bought a necklace for Valentine's Day. They took my money and this horrible seller never sent it. I asked over and over. Then she posts nasty posts and anything I say she deletes. The worst experience ever.
If you unfortunately purchase an item not as described, POSHMARK doesn't care! They keep your money. I purchased an item that was not as described. Contacted Poshmark, submitted photo showing you could not wear the item 3 different ways as described by seller because there were no fasteners. They responded I should have asked more questions and would not let me return the item. I have purchased some great items on there but no worth the rip-offs. Buyer beware!
The product was received by the buyer, the tracking was tracked by Poshmark until it was delivered then Poshmark Canceled the order. So the buyer has the product, Poshmark has the money and now is not replying.
I ordered an extra large leather jacket. When I received the coat it was beautiful until I put it on the sleeves they were 6 inches shorter compared to a normal extra large jacket. I proceeded to call Poshmark to explain that the sleeves are short, yet they would not allow me to return the jacket and told me to donate it to charity. Buyers, sellers beware terrible customer service.
I ordered a Browns Jersey off of the site for my Fiancé's birthday and paid their 6$ fee for 1-3day shipping. First of all it took 7 days to receive my package! Why I am I paying a shipping fee if it's taking the outside allotted time to be delivered? I tracked it on Fed Ex and it kept sending me notifications that it would be delivered on Wedneday and it didn't come until Saturday. So I'm unsure how the seller kept putting a fake date in tracking but it's very frustrating especially when it was supposed to arrive on Wednesday, which was my fiancé's birthday. When my package did arrive, I had no receipt, the package was the size of my hand and that was super concerning to me because I ordered him a men's Large Browns Jersey so how would it fit in a bag so small?! I opened it and the Jersey was a complete counterfeit! It was the wrong colors, was super wide and had the thinnest material. There was weird stiching on the back and the Nike tag it had was also fake with NO UPC NUMBER. Needless to say Poshmark allows fake product to be sold on their website and should not be trusted. As well as the sellers they allow on their website are obviously con artists. I will never order from Poshmark again and if you want actual branded products I would not order from here because you will get FAKE product sent to you!
Poshmark advertises nice items that are no longer available on the market. I tried to buy several skirts by The Limited that are no longer available since The Limited stores closed. One skirt was cancelled after I placed my order. One skirt was shipped but was never delivered. I contacted Poshmark several times about my missing skirt. They replied that it was in transit although no estimated delivery date could be provided. Finally, the skirt was cancelled as it was lost. I did receive one skirt which was a gift for my daughter and I am grateful for that. However, I would not place another order with this company because they are not running their business efficiently.
I have ordered many things through Poshmark with great success. I have only had one order that I was not happy with. The size was way too small and the shipper said that it would fit but did not.
I tried for several days to purchase an item that I saw advertised on Google. When I clicked on the item it brought me to a Poshmark seller's closet. I tried repeatedly to purchase the item at the "Buy it Now" price. The Poshmark site then took me to the payment site, and I put all my debit card information in and my address, telephone number, etc. Then when I hit the Pay Now button, it brought me to a photo of the item, but no confirmation from the Poshmark site. Then a noticed appeared across the page, "Sorry something went wrong." I tried repeatedly to contact Poshmark by email, as they have no telephone number to call, but nothing after several days. Then I went back to the vendor's site, and sent them a question as to how to purchase from them, but got no response at all. Then I went to another one of their items in their closet and asked a question to see if they would answer, but no answer at all. Then I sent an email to Poshmark to see if they would check this vendor to see if they were legitimate, but still no response. I think that this site is a SCAM! Really!
I purchased a veil from a seller in California through Poshmark before reading Poshmark's reviews. The item was shipped but the USPS tracking information went completely stale. I reached out to the post office 3 times and got only 1 response. I wrote Poshmark and asked what the next step was while I read their pretty awful reviews and became terrified that I had made a huge mistake. I am writing this review to say that maybe they have made some improvements. Customer service responded within at least 48 hours and told me that after the 14th day (I believe that was the magic number) that the item appears to still be lost by the post office, to write them again. So I wrote them again after the timeline expired to say it was still lost. They replied again within a couple of days, confirmed the item must be lost, and they refunded my money immediately. That's it. No big deal... issue resolved. Just wanted to share my experience.
I bought a pair of ski pants for my daughter. They were supposed to be size 18, there was a defect in the seam of the right leg and they did not even fit my other daughter who wears a size 8 because of the the internal defect. I sent them a picture which showed the right leg was smaller, they said the picture was blurry and I had 24 hours to send another one. I did not have access to the internet, so I did not even see that request until 72 hours later. NOw they will not take it back. I think that it was fAKE TO BEGIN WITH AND HAD FAKE TAGS ON IT.
The shipping label was created and they never shipped. I opened up a dispute with PayPal and miraculously got an email response from Poshmark stating the USPS has made an error and could I please confirm if I ever received my item. Hello told you several times I had not. They are blaming the USPS and they never shipped. I am not longer corresponding with them as PayPal instructed me not to. Still no contact from a person and still no resolution. This online company is a joke and they are making a lot of money off people... further research has shown that I am not along on this path. Stay away.
Sold an item that apparently was according to Poshmark, not authentic. Cannot resolve the issue, cannot speak to anyone, they only communicate by email. Sent reimbursement payment through Paypal as instructed by them because they said if I didn't they would destroy the item within 7 days from the email notice. Sent payment no answer, then I get an email after several days indicating they didn't receive payment and suspended my account. Never contacted me prior to taking possession of the item from the buyer. Still don't have my item. Not even sure the buyer returned the same item. Why no phone contact that's unheard of. The emails are have limited information and don't address any questions I ask, still not resolved and I still don't have the item. They don't address any of the questions, not even how they prove authenticity. Nothing. Canceling my payment and will never use them or recommend them. This has been going on since beginning of January, payment was made January 11th and still nothing.
I bought a Vera Bradley bag that was totally unacceptable when I got it. I sent the email request to return it because it was completely worn out, faded, frayed, dirty, and with big holes. As a credentialed fashion designer, I have the skill to restore clothing and fabric items, especially Vera bags, but there was nothing I could do with this. They refused to let me return it. I will never buy from them again, and everyone out there shopping online needs to be warned that Poshmark sales are final. Read these other reviews and be warned. Other sites like eBay protect their buyers against sellers who offer low quality.
I was scammed on poshmark and they did nothing to help me. The person claimed to be selling a women's Canada goose parka ($600) and I made an offer of $450 which she accepted. I sent the payment to her via google pay, they don't help either. She continued to message me and answered all of questions until it came to shipping the package. She kept making excuses for why she couldn't ship it and then had the audacity to give me a fake shipping number. This was in December and I have not given up on trying to find her. On poshmark her name was elemai, her email is *******@gmailcom (with a dot (.) between Gmail and com) and her phone number is +1 *******519. Please help me find her so I can get my money back! Her picture is attached.
It's great if you're buying. Selling is o. K if it all goes smoothly, but if there's any issues, they protect the buyer over the seller, so it's good... or bad... depending on who you are. I have had pretty much good experiences over 4 years, just one jerk buyer.
I joined Poshmark last year. No matter how low you price things they constantly encourage you to make reduced offers to likers. When you do, the likers don't buy. No matter how low you price an item, even half of what others have priced, buyer typically offer you half of what you are asking. Most of what I offered was new, name brand items. I have reduced my items to my cost and still can't sell most of what I offer. From my experience people just offer ridiculously low prices to see what they can get. Like going fishing. The successful people have a youtube or twitter following, and that is why they are successful. Or they are young and pretty and model the clothes themselves, and that seems to work. Poshmark has been a huge waste of time for me.
Several purchases went awry but I understood that size and aesthetics were a chance to be taken.
My last two purchases (and I do mean MY LAST) were for $900 jewelry and a new Anthropologie item.
The Anthropologie item was misrepresented and Poshmark sided with the seller. The $900 purchase was vetted by Poshmark (clearly not adept at doing so-the item was damaged and they said it was perfect).
So my 6 Poshmark purchases totaling over 1.1k were basically abysmal. My other purchases dwere too large and it wasn't the company's responsibility to ensure shoes and tops were listed properly.
This site is a train wreck. If your intent is to spend more than $10 on an item go eslewhere. It's 60/40 if you'll lose your money pr not.
I spent hours and hours building closets there. My main closet sold perfume. Thousands of other sellers on Poshmark sell perfume even though they claim items like perfume are prohibited. I was shipping them ground legally and at my own expense because the items were so profitable. Someone on Poshmark with nothing better to do probably a competing seller violated me like 14 times. This really irked me because I made like $200 in profit (like $400 plus in sales) my first 2 weeks of doing it. Anyway I have other closets with toys, clothing and other items that arent prohibited. Those closets are now not allowed to list additional items thereby halting all my business. All because some managment person decided they dont want me doing business there. I would avoid selling here at all costs if I were you. They dont even take paypal you have to wait for a check in the mail or give them a bank routing# which I am so glad I did not. Most of the sellers there are big box stores peddling items pretending to be real people. Meanwhile they take advantage of average women encouraging them to drop prices on expensive items like Kate Spade which is redonkulous. This company only cares about themselves and is geared around only themselves making money. Its like ebay but run by women who act like the high school snitch. If you feel like wasting time and money so other people can ruin it all in a heartbeat go for it. Why is it every other site on the internet will let you sell and ship perfume POSHMARK? They have it all figured out and make more money than you. Why pick on people making you money its a very dopey policy that only costs your company money sellers buy and buyers sell. Word of mouth travels fast too.
Not the best, not the worst. My experience has been fairly mixed with Poshmark, but would still shop with them again. Sizing is a bit of an issue, but once the sizing is right, it's really good.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
