Love shopping and selling on this app! You can find brand name and designer wear for great prices. Poshmark also has a moneyback guarantee!
Bought a giaim jacket described to have a dropped hem in back and the picture should that as it was laying flat. It came as a straight across hem and no drop in back. They would not take the return. Whoever photographed it had a different jacket or else pulled the back down to look dropped. They are the worse customer service ever. I sent pictures and they wouldn't stand behind it. DONE with them!
I have been an eBay seller for 14 years. I've finally been ripped off on Poshmark by s buyer who bought new shoes, wore them- evidence that the sticker was off one heel, they had water marks on soles, scuffs, breaks to the leather. My photos posted showed new shoes. I have 100% feedback on eBay and never ever had a buyer do this to me. If they had tried, eBay would not have allowed it.
They tried to accuse me of wearing the shoes, which were not my size by the way, prior to shipping. Oh. Their refund to the buyer was given and this sorry site gave me $30 to spend on it.
Total rip off of 1300. 00 shoes damaged and I wont be able to sell them now for more than $100.
Now I'm afraid to sell anything because they don't care. I had five plus photos and the bottoms were clean with stickers came back dirt, scuffed and worn. You can't talk to anyone and responses
Generated are automatic.
Do not sell high dollars new items here or you'll face the same situation I have.
Was going to place a BIG Order with Poshmark. UNTIL I READ ALL THE COMPLAINTS... GEE! You LOST A CUSTOMER!... Sad for YOU :( HAPPY FOR ME :) I won; t get Screwed. Why would a company NOT COMPLY with their customers?! This is just awful! ALL I CAN SAY, IS I FEEL SORRY FOR ALL THOSE that made the Order... No one deserves to be taken/./ We all work hard for our money. May each of the customers do their search FIRST BEFORE ORDERING. I Was about to ORDER THEN I READ ALL THE UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS. THIS IS NOT HOW PEOPLE WANT TO BE TREATED... HOPE EVERYONE HAS HEALED FROM THEIR AWFUL EXPERIENCE. MAY WE USE MORE WISDOM! AND STOP BELIEING WHAT WE HEAR...
I only learned of this a month or so ago. I had 2 purchases that were great. Then, I purchased a "Blue Tory Burch" bag. The photo was of a blue bag. Some of the other photos were questionable but if the listing shows a blue bag then I'm purchasing a blue bag, right? NO WRONG. I received a black bag the was supposed to be "authentic" but was far from it. I am familiar w/Tory Burch as she is a Philly girl and know her signature touches, This is clearly a fraud and a "bait and switch" and when I asked Posh to intervene, it said I was wrong and the thief was right. End of the day? Go to the manufacturers sites for clearance items etc. This was a f"in joke.
I was looking for a particular straw bag for summer! I can't believe the crap that people try to sell on this site. What is worse, is what they are asking for said crap! I felt like I was looking through a run down thrift store. So many of the sellers waste your time as well. They either don't take sold items down or they don't respond to your messages. I did find my Mar Y Sol flower tote, although overpriced, it was in new condition and I wanted it. I ordered, sent payment, and item never came. I had to get a refund. If I am looking for something that is discontinued, I will look here to see if I can find in new condition. UPDATE: I have since deleted my account. This site and most of the sellers are not worth my time.
I would give 0 stars if I could. I bought an outfit for a gift, sent directly to the recipient. The main pic was taken off a website. The description was a title. I assumed it was new since the main pic showcased a new item. I was on the phone when recipient received item and had a horrible asthma attack, due to odors. I wrote, hoping to "educate" the Seller going forward so it wouldn't happen to another buyer--the money wasn't important. However, Seller never gave any type of apology. I heard the recipient struggle to breathe after opening the package! I pointed out Seller had not followed several rules outlined on the site and told her my focus was on making sure someone did not become ill again because of her selling issues. I assumed She must be new to selling and hoped She could learn from this. She informed she's been selling for 3 years on Poshmark! So, she's been not following the rules for 3 years and apparently no one cares. I could have left her negative feedback, but new buyers (or any buyers) can't see feedback! She has no excuse for not knowing what she should and shouldn't be doing! It's been a few days and the promise by Poshmark to handle quickly has not materialized. I seriously doubt they will sanction Seller at all. This is ridiculous! This could have been life threatening! I'm worn out. I do hope to warn other potential buyers. Not happy at all.
I wanted to love this site more than I do... I've bought several shirts that were really good deals-- but twice now, I've ended up finding stains that weren't in the sellers' descriptions... YMMV?
Poshmark customer service sucks. I have read countless accounts of a buyer having buyers remorse and then asking for a refund saying that the item was misrepresented. This had never happened to me until it happened. My photos accurately reflected the condition of the item. But "after careful review" Poshmark and the buyer wasted my time and now I have to have the item sent back to me and resell it. Ebay has exceedingly better customer service. Shame on Poshmark for taking 20% and then providing $#*!ty customer service. No thanks Poshmark, I'll sell elsewhere.
The purchase was from seller Erica Hawley, I paid for size 8 shoes, but she sent me a 6 1/2. I emailed Poshmark about the problem, since there was no contact information for the seller, I got her information when she mailed the shoes to me. I was told by Poshmark to prove to them that there was a problem, and to take a picture of the item and post to their website, which I did twice, to no avail. Then I was given so many hours to comply, or the money would be given to the seller. I had to file a claim with my bank to get the thing resolved. They have no phone number, no chat, no return label, NOTHING that will help the buyer. Finally thanks to my bank I had a return address to send the item to, but I had to pay shipping charges for the mistake of the seller Erica Hawley This is the worst company to do business with... WARNING: PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK...
Tried it for the first time. They claimed what I ordered was shipped and never arrived. Received a bogus USPS link. I'd stay away. I got scammed for $200. Told them I would blast them on social media for being crooks.
Do not sell anything on Poshmark! Poshmark is extremely sketchy and they do not have ANY FORM OF RELIABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. That means that if you need help with anything, you literally have to figure it out or wait WEEKS TO GET an email response. I sold a pair of expensive shoes via Poshmark with the market price of 675. Poshmark DOES NOT ADHERE TO THEIR OWN POLICIES. Funds are guaranteed to be released 72 hours after the package has been delivered. However, it has been 7 days for me total and I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN A RESPONSE FROM POSHMARK. This website will only bring a huge headache. Ebay is much better.
First and last time I ever use this site. I purchased a very expensive designer pin. Heart surrounded by pearls. Receivef old beat up piece with pearl missing! Oh and fake pearls! I dont know how they do it but the photo showed nothing wrong! The seller was awful! Actually accused me of damaging the piece so as to return it to get a refund! The site itself never got back to me after complaining! I feel so stupid purchasing from these scammers. By the way my bank filed a dispute for me and I charged it back!
I have been on Poshmark since 2012. Selling + buying actively since 2014. I have had very few issues! If you want to make money you have to actually, I don't know, WORK. Anytime you buy something online it's a risk. Just because you don't get your way doesn't mean it's a scam. I've made very good money selling on Posh, and I've bought a lot of great things from great sellers. Research your sellers before you buy if you're worried - it's very easy to tell whether a seller is good or bad.
For few years now, I have an account at Poshmark. I recently became Poshmark Ambassador. Now I get a lot of people following me, I cannot keep up with it. I find that it takes too much time to promote and very little return on all the follows and promotions. I checked recently, it's best to have as a seller your pricing to be above $15
Otherwise, they take too much of a percentage of the sales. Instead of deleting my items, I raised the prices, as I don't really care to sell there. However, I will still keep my store up, in case someone likes to buy, because I have lots of stuff from my closet and I don't want to delete. Last year I had 2 sales. This year, so far I sold only one item...
I have also bought items, and I had good experience.
Just as a reviewer stated, there is poor communication and no phone number to contact. I should have listened to the first clue, when they took long to respond to my first issue.
The second time, they just did not allow me to post without a warning or notification. I then reviewed the policies, and found that I had not been in violation of none, but it's difficult to try to resolve when you feel like you're just emailing a ghost.
I am MBA major and manage and a big box retail. I have been recognized for having breast customer
Service of the year and I know that this is considered really poor customer service.
I am now opening up my own retail closet and learn from the mistakes of Poshmark. Thank you for this lesson.
Anyone else reading this should follow me at fayefash. Online
I was misled by a seller that I was purchasing an adult size 10 shirt. It was quite clearly a kids small when I received it. Poshmark refuse to step in and resolve the issue. I have spent a lot of money with this company until this happened. I always did my homework before I made a purchase. With this shirt no exception. The seller clearly misrepresented this and they got away with it.
Jean's were low rise but didnt state that. They wont let me return them. Biggest scam online right now. Save your money folks. You are better off shopping on Amazon
Received badly stained jeans that were not "white" as advertised, let alone CLEAN... the inside crotch is yellowed as if underwear were an afterthought. So disgusted YUCK! Poshmark's automatic response to my instant complaint? We'll get back to you in 3-5 days, if approved you have 5 days to ship back damaged item, seller has 3 days to accept return. So basically, I'll be lucky to get a refund in a month, if ever.
This company is awful to work with, everything is handled on line, no phone number to reach an actual person, works for sellers, buyers not protected at all. Deleting app and contacting BBB. Do not even honor their own policies and I have emails and pics of them stating it would be sent out by a certain date and still wasn't and took my money. DISHONEST COMPANY! BUYERS BEWARE! Going back to Ebay!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
