I brought a blouse from someone and she had me and heathergood 378 purchases mixed up. I did the right thing and sent her activewear pants and she kept lying saying she sent my blouse. Heathergood 378 even gave me a fake united states post office tracking number. And said my package will be here on Fri May 10th.it didn't come here it was a package that went to California. $5 credit and my $9 is just not enough. She is a thief and need her page shut down!
I ordered one size of shoe, received a different size, and they didn't allow a return because I didn't measure my foot!. There is no way to get a hold of the company except through email, which they claim is "more efficient" than calling them and getting a live body - hmmph! These shoes were sneakers that cost $60 not some small$10 item, and since I received the wrong size, I felt justified that I should be entitled to return. I got a flat "NO!". No discussion, no offers for a discount. Even the seller agreed that the sneakers were difficult to size, and she had difficulties, but Poshmark wouldn't allow returns, so she was sympathetic to my plight. Sounds like a hardline company that isn't customer service oriented. I will business with them. Pick another consignment online business that works with you like: Swap.com, thredup.com, Tradesy, Material Wrld, etc.
I ordere size 10.5, received size 10. See photo's.
I opened an account to sell a few items from my closet and I had an awful experience. I had sold my item (an authentic Gucci belt) to someone and after I had sold it my listing disappeared. I assume the sale cancelled because I couldn't access it. I tried to reach out to Poshmark to resolve this issue but they do not have a customer service phone number and they never contacted me back through their support center after I have reached out 3 times. After this, I deleted that account and opened up a new one to only find an error pull up each time I tried to list an item. Once again, nobody reached back out to help me resolve this problem. To sum my experience up, I have learned that Poshmark gives minimal support if any help to their users and they take a higher percentage of your sales than eBay and Mercari. Why would I use this app again when there are better functioning buy/sell apps that don't take as much out of my sale?
First and foremost, they do not have a customer service line. If you have an issue or concern, you have to email them. Then you have to wait 24 hours for them to get back to you. Garbage. Moreover, they take 20% of sales, which is quite high in comparison to other selling sites like eBay, mercari etc. Mercari is crappy too by the way. Buyers want to pay as little as possible for everything. They don't take down unfair reviews of items from buyers who rate on fit, or lie about item specifics, or say they received an empty box etc. Scamming on the site from buyers and sellers is atrociously common. There's a lot of counterfeit luxury items. I've even heard of poshmark employees buying luxury items from other sellers and having the sales canceled to steal the items. It's difficult to tell who is a trust worthy buyer, as, sellers are not allowed to rate them. If buyers do not go back on the app/ site to press that button that says "accept", when they receive their orders, the sellers have to wait three days to get paid. From the buyers' side, it can be really difficult to return items. If you purchase something, you have an hour window period where you can cancel the order. Otherwise, you have to wait 7 days to cancel, or, have it shipped and then wait a few more days to receive. Especially, if the seller doesn't respond to messages. Shipping fees along with taxes are outrageous now. You find an item for $25 you end up paying $35/ $38 for it. There are scammer sellers on the site, and sometimes, they're hard to detect unless you read each ones love notes
(reviews) before you buy. If you're not happy with your purchase you have to keep it anyways. Good luck trying to get a refund on an item that was improperly described or damaged. I would not recommend anyone buy or sell on this site. You're better going to a thrift store. Or, even low cost shops that sell brand new, name brand, items they buy at low prices from the high end stores at seasonal sales. Poshmark needs to go away.
I have only been a buyer, so far, but am very happy with the app, the community, and my purchases. Some sellers are more experienced at presenting their products but overall, a very good service. I think the secret here is to be very honest about the item you are trying to sell.
All my clothes are NWT and at the very least 70% off retail value but even then I barely get double digit offers! Fees are outrageous! 20%? Really? (Also now they take state taxes)They say it's for payment card processing fees (look it up it's only about 1.95% -2.50%)and delivery insurance but if they can make a deal to practically cut priority mail price by 50% with USPS then I'm pretty sure they have made a deal with payment processing and insurance due to it being a large company! Even at one point Poshmark owed USPS millions!(look it up)they made a deal and settled! Feel like this company is a rip-off! I'll be surprised if I'm the future this company Doesn't get in trouble for something!
Poshmark needs to be shut down immediately! They don't let you return anything. I would suggest to stay far away from these con artists. Shop the reputable sites like Amazon and eBay. This worthless place doesn't even have a customer service number you can call. I will never shop this place of horrors ever again!
First time user, was excited, very very poor quality of clothing. After receiving dress you could clearly tell it was defected.
Very disappointed!
Bought items that didn't fit right and customer support is failing to let me return the item. I don't wanna buy things that don't fit right. I'm not a perfect size. Clothing is not all sized the same. A 31 in one brand is not the same size in another. If it doesn't fit then poshmark should be more than happy to let the customer return the item. The pic below was advertised capris or Bermuda shorts on a woman 5'6" or taller. I am 5'3".
I was a first time user, just browsing, after seeing so many commercials. It was garbage. First of all, within 10 minutes of signing up 23 bots were "following" me even though I was brand new and had no items for sale. Then I started browsing. I was horrified at the garbage listed for sale. I guarantee you there are homeless bums that wouldn't wear this filthy, torn, worn out stuff. One seller was listing ONE shoe! Wtf? I saw an Apple watch listed for $4,000! Um, it's $500 brand new at a reputable retailer like Target or Best Buy. I deleted my account within an hour. Ugh!
Buying on Poshmark may be an ok experience for most, BUT for sellers, expect 20% cost of your item to be deducted once sold. Just be sure to figure in that cost when posting your item. Fyi... ebay and paypal fees are only 13% total
DON'T DO IT! Their customer service is quick to respond, however, refunds- even for defective merchandise - are provided in POSHMARK credits. There are many reputable companies out there - this is not one of them. I won't be back.
As a seller buyers can be a nightmare. I usually find that the lower price items are the buyers that give me a headache on. I sold someone a bundle of 2 items for 9 dollars plus discounted shipping and they accepted. That day i shipped it out same day and was positive it would be an easy transaction. But boy was i wrong the buyer opened a case as not as described she said they were horrible items and there was a piece of dog hair on the item. Me and the buyer went back and forth arguing our side. I was sure poshmark would close the case and it be done but no they approved her case for the one piece of dog hair on the item. My profile is a pic of my dog and its captioned my dogs watching the items. I try my best to lint roll items but with a dog who sheds horribly sometimes a piece might be on the clothing thats why i disclosed i have an animal friendly home. Im mad that poshmark will approve cases for stupid reasons and there no return policy isnt accurate because someone will open a case and usually get a return. To make matters worse i once opened a case to return cause the new without tags hat was covered in dirt and i get denied the return. I think whoever reviews the cases just doesnt care and will approve cases just to not deal with them. So i am totally not pleased complete waste of time shipping the item and now waiting two weeks just to get stuff back that i wanted to sell complete waste of time.
Sellers could send you an empty box, and as long as Posh system has proof of the package delivery (even if it was empty) it will be a nightmare to get your $ back. My seller fully admits their mistake and agrees to a refund, Posh still dragging their feet. I imagine it would be impossible if the seller was dishonest. DONE WITH POSH.
I will never shop there again. I would love to start a class action lawsuit against this Joke of a company. I opened a return case on a purse I purchased which was not at all what I thought I purchased. It was a total different color, size and the inside was Disgusting. Then got harassed by the seller. I WILL NOT let this scam artist company get away with this. I'm looking into higher authority and options!
I swear, I will not be scammed by Poshmark again. Their no return policy meses everything up. People be false advertising left and right. Bought a pair is size 8 shoes, got them they were more like a size 7! Can't return them, asked the seller if they were a true 8, " yes, I'm an 8 " NOPE! Stuck with them. I tried it again, bought a dress " brand new " wore only once, got it, it had some bleached stain, CANT RETURN IT, again stuck loosing money. At least on EBAY you have a choice. The costumer service for Poshmark SUCKS, no help what so ever.
Purchased some cute pink sneakers as a size 8 from kilma1. They arrived marked as a size 8. But, in actuality they had to be a 9+ with a very wide toe box. There was no effort by Poshmark to rectify the situation or make good the transaction. It was just "screw the customer".
That's a business philosophy to stay away from. This is fair warning.
The phone number listed on Google is 1 *******771. Call them they tell you they won't deal with you other than via emails!
This is the letter I wrote to POSHMARK refuting why they denied my request for a refund:
What do you mean: "We have reviewed the case you submitted for order "Peep Toe Red Satin Bridal Shoes Platform Pumps 7.5". Unfortunately, this case does not qualify for a return because:
- correct additional photos requested not submitted
- return time expired"
As you can see they were pictured as bright red and described as red!
I submitted three different photos done in natural daylight as you requested the same day you asked me to submit them! I have been checking on this case and looking at the very photos I submitted on your site every day numerous time since that day!
How can you use "We have reviewed the case you submitted for order "Peep Toe Red Satin Bridal Shoes Platform Pumps 7.5". Unfortunately, this case does not qualify for a return because:
- correct additional photos requested not submitted
- return time expired' as a reason to refuse to give me a refund?!
What a crooked company! Either you don't know what you are doing there or you are lying!
I will NEVER use Poshmark again! I will be reporting this to Sitejabber and leaving negative reviews on any site I can find! You can bank on the fact that I will tell everyone I know how this was handled!
Oh! And isn't convenient that you don't have a phone number?! CROOKS!
First two photos are the actual color the third is the pic of the shoes as shown on Poshmark.
I was a seller on Poshmark and was scammed out of an high fashion item. Before I dig into my review of the site
I think buyers should have realistic expectations. If you want a brand new Chanel purse for $100 you too are a scammer. These buyers want boxes dust bags receipts and perfect condition items but really don't want to pay for it. Poshmark isn't retail it's resale no one owes you a receipt! You are attempting to scam Chanel out of thousands of dollars. If authencity means that much and you want a perfect authentic go to the Chanel store and give them their money. Otherwise, you're really no better than the sellers you criticize. Now on to my review. I've seen much commentary about scamming sellers. Well folks there's such a thing as scamming buyers. Scoundrels that try to steal your products by cancelling after you told them it has shipped. People that wear stuff then return it claiming it was damaged when received. Folks that say they received an empty box. I had a scamming buyer cancel an item after I shipped and Poshmark has yet to resolve this issue after two weeks. Poshmark has no customer service you are lucky to get an email response. How could a company of this size thrive and advertise without being shut down is beyond me
Though, I do think it's just a matter of time. Poshmark has created a platform that fosters bullying. Anyone can come on your listings and say anything! If you block them they can still see your listings and your customers and talk your customers against you. Horrible platform, horrible miserable sellers that hate on successful sellers. It won't be very long before the truth comes out.
My first and last time using poshmark I purchased two items from two different sellers, a "Coach" purse and a "Kate Spade" wallet. When I received the items both were counterfeit. After filing my complaint with Poshmark I was denied a refund for the purse entirely even though I provided ample proof that it was not authentic, and only received a refund for the wallet because it had a small tear that was not shown in the picture, not because it wasn't authentic. Poshmark cares nothing about it's customers and caters to criminals by providing a forum for the sale of counterfeit merchandise. Don't waste your money!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
