The company exhibits a mixed reputation, with some customers praising the professionalism and efficiency of the technicians, as well as their responsiveness and clear communication. However, significant concerns arise regarding unprofessional behavior, lack of expertise, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight issues such as overcharging, poor handling of complaints, and unsafe practices, leading to feelings of frustration and mistrust among clients. Overall, while there are instances of satisfactory service, the prevalence of negative experiences suggests a pressing need for improvements in training, customer support, and operational transparency.

I filled in a form on their website requesting a boiler service and was contacted almost immediately by phone to arrange a gas engineer visit. A gas engineer (Thomas Wicks) arrived next day and was very professional and knowledgeable, and quick to perform the boiler service. Would definitely recommend, thanks for a great boiler service.
Worse company!
The engineer is a fraud
Did not properly check and made incorrect diagnosis of the issue misleading me to agree on replacing the entire panel for the boiler. Not answering relevant questions, being dismissive. I finally did not commision them
And guess what another engineer did the job in 10 min without needing to replace the panel of the boiler. My complaint is still not handled
Nigel from Plumbing force came to clear a blocked pipe. Fixed the issue, Polite, quick and tidied up perfectly. Very good communication from the company. Quite pricey but needed the job done quickly and efficiently so happy to pay.
Phoebe was fantastic. Explained everything so patiently and did a fabulous job of fixing the issue. Made sure everything worked well and was superbly efficient. Thanks a lot Phoebe.
Avoid at all costs. This company are ruthless scam artists and thiefs. I have reported them to Barclays bank fraud to get my money back. Literally use any other company than this one. They will screw you completely then block your number and email and whatsapp after taking your money. They won't provide a report or invoice etc they took hundreds of pounds from me to fix to valves on a boiler then as soon as i had paid because i wasn't on site never did the job literally took my money and walked then blocked me when I tried to contact them since. It's unbelievable.
I had Josh Wilson come round and fix a leak which went from bathroom to living room downstairs, Josh Wilson was very friendly and professional, did a great job.
Our plumber went above and beyond to ensure our problem was solved and with a high degree of competency. Thank you.
Really helpful from booking to visit, the engineer Neil was really knowledgable and friendly. 10/10 would use again!
Josh was extremely polite and went the extra mile to identify and fix our issue. We could see damp forming on the kitchen ceiling. The problem wasn't even the plumbing, as we thought at first, but Josh climbed up a ladder and found out that the water was infiltrating through the roof.
Having investigated the toilet for leaks, despite this not being the main problem, Josh identified that there were other issues with the flushing mechanism, which he fixed for us. Very pleased with the quality of the work, and everything was left in a pristine condition. Would use this company again in the future.
Very helpful from first call. Engineer attended promptly, did the work as quickly as possible and was mindful of damage and mess. Would definitely use again
Good communication on initial call. Very quick response time. Steve called ahead and was at the property as agreed. Very good service to fix the broken gas pipe and a pleasant chat with Steve an added bonus.
This company charges over the odds for all elements of their quote. They charge £1,200 per day for labour. They charged me £1,800 for just under 8 hours work. How does that equate to 1.5 days?
They charge £500 for additional 5 years extended warranty when the boiler manufacturer already provides 7-year free warranty if boiler installation is done by one of their approved installers; and PlumbingForce engineers are approved by this supplier. So effectively, I paid £500 extra for an additional 3-year warranty.
The boiler unit with flue and additional kit costs less than £1,700 including vat. When you factor in supplier discount to PlumbingForce, its much less than that. PlumbingForce refuse to provide a copy of the original invoice from the boiler supplier for my records.
They charged me £4,080 to install my boiler when several quotes like for like with exact same qualifications, certifications and same 10-year warranty came to £2,000.
The gas engineer did not plug a leak in the filter at the end of day 1 leaving our hallway carpet wet. Had we not noticed, it would have been a disaster. He also did not ask for a vacuum to clean up the mess in the hallway. Very unprofessional.
Finally, the current operations manager Michelle is very rude. She was very rude and curt on the phone. She does not respond to emails and when she does, she deliberately, sometimes, replies in CAPS, to shout back. She has at the time of typing failed to answer all my questions. There is no point sending emails to their enquiries email. She is one of the people responding to emails received, expect nothing short of extremely poor customer service.
If you need a gas combi boiler installed with a 10-year warranty for a 3-bedroom house, it should cost you no more than £2,000. Shop around online, get a few quotes, speak to the boiler manufacturer/ supplier about the warranties available. Remember, a gas engineer hourly rate is about £60 per hour, even in London, so a day rate should not be more than £480 (£576 if they are vat registered). A boiler should not take more than 8 hours for installation by one engineer.
Do not make the mistake I made, do not pay double the amount required. Get your quotes in and Do NOT USE PlumbingForce Ltd.
Plumbingforce replied to my queue about a leaky pipe leading from outside, scheduled a worker to head over, whilst waiting the situation escalated significantly. Plumbingforce kept me updated with location, advice and assurance. Worker arrived, had the situation under control within 5mins of showing up.
Fixing a particularly awkward pipe, replacing parts and dealing with the situation with a friendly manner and really put me at ease. Work was quick and of good quality, bare minimum of impact to the area surrounding the issue and tidied up some small other jobs in the area. In and out in less than an hour. Good service.
Josh provided an excellent service. He was knowledgeable and helpful. Very professional. I would definitely recommend him
We were very pleased with every aspect in dealing with this firm, especially the finished work. The plumber kept us informed throughout the job and left a clean and tidy bathroom.
We was given a time frame of between 10-2, which then got pushed back to 2-6 following this we got a call at 5:30 to tell us that the engineer was unable to attend today and we had been pushed to first thing the next morning. My partner took a day off of work to wait for them but this was wasted due to the communication being shocking. When they got to us, the next day, we were quoted a price over £500 more expensive than the average cost of parts and labour for the bits that needed doing. Needless to say we said thanks but no thanks to the chap and we got the work done elsewhere. Waste of time and money
This business was contacted by the care team responsible for my elderly mother in law, whose full time carer had reported a failure of the domestic cold water supply.
An engineer attended the same day and replaced the ballcock in the cold water storage tank. All good. Then the invoice, with no breakdown of costs, other than specifying 2hrs labour………to change a ballcock?
Total charge, as the title says, £450.
Obviously I requested a more detailed invoice, nil response, requested again, got the original invoice again. I then raised a complaint with customer services re the invoice. Emails have subsequently been exchanged.
It was abundantly clear, from his responses, that the after sales manager, a Jake Hayley, did not read my emails.
He offered a partial refund by way of a "goodwill gesture," which has not been paid.
He then subsequently claimed the £450 cost was a fixed price charge and therefore a detailed invoice could not be provided. He included a newly made up invoice to support this claim, apparently forgetting that the original invoice was already in the email chain! The original is shown below.
It looks to me as though someone took the opportunity to grossly inflate the charge for a simple job and then when questioned, attempted to cover up after the fact.
On that basis I would suggest looking elsewhere for a plumber.
Update.
Following the review I had a request for more information from customer service……. A different representative this time. I directed her to the conversation with the first representative rather than repeat the whole saga again.
Guess what? Not a squeak in the subsequent month.
Great engineer, fast professional and friendly did a great job with a fantastic response time. Would definitely recommend
Answer: I have also had the misfortune of dealing with her. Possible she has a borderline personality disorder of some type,,, but whatever, she should never be in a front facing position dealing with customers. In any company. Disaster.
