I did lots of internet searching for specialty parts for my 8 series BMW. I regret ever doing business with parts Geek. Not only did i receive garbage parts, my credit card that was used to purchase parts from Parts Geek was used nearby their location in New York area to buy food, and more auto parts for a car i do not even own.
How these people continue to stay in business is beyond me. I did figure out that the actual owner of Parts Geek does no more than use his computer and brokers auto parts, plays middle man and adds on his profit onto the part your buying. Not illegal but compounded with buying stuff on my credit card, makes this outfit slippery as a wet green growth of moss on your sidewalk.
I recommend using other shops to buy your parts if you don't want the hassle of disputing credit Card purchases.
I was shipped an incomplete Slave/master cylinder combination for my vehicle. I immediately contacted them to let them know. I provided the 5 pictures of the situation they wanted to document the whole scenario. In the meantime I installed the correct part I did receive as the master cylinder allowed me to drive my vehicle! Then Parts Geek says the ONLY way to get a refund is to send that part back. They will not issue a partial refund. They will not send the missing part. They will not take it out of another kit and defect that kit. In short, they have no desire to make their mistake right! Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere!
I ordered a BMW TMS Module for my F10 series. When the package arrived, it said "Made in China." I should have taken that warning sign. But I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried it anyway, of course it didn't work. Went to try to return it but they have a "no opened electronics able to be returned" policy which is ridiculous. Reference the pics attached to see the difference in quality. DO NOT trust your money to PartsGeek. Honestly, had it been more money, I'd be looking for a lawyer for false advertising.
Called to see what was happening. Put on hold for 15 minutes twice, and at the end, was given a busy signal twice. Now, a week later, no part, no customer service response, no money returned. Calling my credit card and having them go after the bastards.
The company lies when says order in next 2 hours and have it on the day it tells you and don't expect it in a week. After I ordered it didn't get picked up from company for 4 days and tracking doesn't get updated for 2 days because that's when it finally moves to different location. I would never buy from them again.
Placed an order - got wrong parts. Said I had to return the order and reorder if I want them quickly.
Reordered and didn't get them. Postoffice screwed up and lost the parts.
Waited 11 days - no parts.
Called customer service, spent hours trying to resolve this.
They drop ship. They would not replace just the wrong part. A month after placing initial order I decided to cancel everything and decided I would never purchase from them again.
They lost a potential repeat customer - for the end of time.
The part arrived broken. I contacted them and was informed I need to send it back AT MY EXPENSE. I ordered from them because they were $4 cheaper. Huge mistake. Won't be using Parts Geek again. Waste of time and money.
I ordered a left and right bumper cover mount bracket. I received 2 right hand brackets. Contacted customer service and requested RMA and the actual part. I was told that they would contact the warehouse to see how this happened. I was also told not to contact them until i got a reply from them. Then after several weeks of waiting i contacted them and asked for status update. (see their response). Oh BTW i sent the initial email on 03 Sept. Not 06 Sept.
If there were negative stars, I would use those to rate this site. Horrible experience. I ordered headlight assemblies for my car that said they would fit, but they were wrong. Completely different mounting hardware, definitely not for the year car I had. On top of waiting over a week for the parts to come, I had to pay return shaping myself. And will have to also pay a restocking fee. What a rip off. I wrote a negative review on their site, but they block all negative reviews. They only post what they want. Completely phony and deceptive. Do not buy from them.
While I ill never order from them again and think their customer service set up is really bad bad bad, because you can't actually call but have to do all your correspondence via email. I will give them credit for actually refunding my money and paying for my return shipping.
One month no part, called every 4 days. Got lies, over and over and Telling me to call the post office and figure it out. Finally when it came to a refund I was told I would get one. Days go bye, No refund. I am now letting my credit card company handle it. Place is a big scam. Please do not buy from this company.
BUYER BEWARE! They sent me the wrong part and wanted made me pay $17.00 in return shipping to get my $66.00 back. Ebay and Paypal both sided with them on the return shipping. I sent pictures of what the part should have looked like but they didn't care, even though it was clearly their error. They could have sent me a rock to fix my car and I still would have had to pay to return it. I am done with Ebay, Paypal and it's scammy vendors.
Ordered parts to replace my AC system, the forgot to ship half of them. No way to know if the parts that showed up even fit because I can't leave my car in pieces while waiting on parts.
Now waiting more time to get the stuff I ordered. And before it's mentioned I did verify everything was in stock before I ordered.
Was unable to resolve issue with customer service and I'm now waiting on an email from another department.
Will not use again.
Parts Geek feels like an illegal business. I ordered a part for $294 and paid tax and shipping on my order. The part ended up arriving damaged. Luckily the delivery man was extremely helpful so I avoided any shipping costs. They said they do not do returns and I would have to buy another one. I checked and the price went up an extra $50 for the same part. I had to pay that plus tax and and shipping netting at an $80 loss for their mistake. Now several weeks later another of the same parts arrives at my door. We had to reject this package. Now I will have to battle for a refund which is probably another month out!
TLDR: This company has no return policy and if there is a mistake you will pay! Expect no customer support and expect to pay out of YOUR pocket if they make a mistake. Look at how they ship a $350+ part and tell me if you want to risk dealing with that. They had my car out of commission for three weeks because of their mistake.
Sent wrong part not even close to what I ordered. Refuse to send new part or give a refund. Want me to pay for the shipping to return part to them. So they can review it and make a decision on my refund. I ordered A/C delco valve lifter a received 2 1/4 lead wheel wight. SEE PHOTO
Do not buy products from Parts Geek. I purchased a $10 part that isn't compatible with my vehicle even though it's advertised that way. The day I received it, I called customer service and they were so busy they asked if they could call me back. Fast forward several weeks and I called again to which they said my return window had closed.
Even though they have a record of me calling in and admitted, in writing, that the call back didn't happen; they refuse to assist me in any capacity.
If I could score them any lower then I would. Worthless.
Spend your money elsewhere and avoid the brain damage.
I returned a part purchased from Auto Parts Geek using their required RMA number but never received my refund of $333.90. They were contacted about this problem immediately and stated that they had returned my refund to eBay. When eBay was contacted they declined responsibility and said my problem remained with the Seller. I won't use either Auto Parts Geek or eBay again. You are risking your money!
My son and I ordered a manifold with catalytic converter for his car to get ready for college. The part was supposed to come with a manifold gasket which it never did. Exchanged numerous emails with the Parts Geek customer service department to either send us the gasket or reimburse us for it and got nowhere.
Reached out to the better business bureau and finally got a response from Parts Geek and after another set of email exchanges they finally agree to reimburse us for the missing gasket, said it would take several business days, and we did not receive the funds. Ask if they can verify if the funds were sent, got no response, and better business bureau close the ticket.
One would think that their customer service would slightly improve with the amount of complaints that are out there. Not only will I not purchase another item from them but telling my friends and family not to as well.
I needed a mercedes heater pipe which there website had, i was going to order on Amazon or Ebay but this site offered overnight for $34.95 on a $16.00 part. I selected Mercedes original double checked the part number to make sure its the right one. Part arrived 4 days later (today). Opened the box and they did send a heater pipe for a mercedes. But the wrong one. Tried calling and they are closed. Submitted a ticket and leaving bad review. And it what it cost me is priceless, since the wait cost me my entire weekend away from family stranded.
Purchased new chrome for front of my car because it was missing. I get the parts and they send the chrome piece I ordered and the bolts but not the taps (nuts,) when I reached out to tell them I get this smart elicit response telling me to send photos to prove It and also saying either way they will not make it right because they don't split up other packages. So that's fine, take my money and don't offer a service you assured me of. I'll buy the taps but beware of parts geek. Customer service is a joke.

Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
