I ordered an intake hose and they sent me a crankshaft sensor. I had a customer waiting for the correct part and customer service was so terrible. They didn't even apologize never again without order anything from this company.
I built an order of a dozen parts on the PartsGeek website and when I went to check out I saw there was a $41 shipping charge added. PartsGeek has ads all over the internet indicating "Fast and Free Shipping" but when I called to ask about it, the rep said they have warehouses all over the country and "some of them offer free shipping". Evidently none of the parts I ordered came from one of these warehouses. $41 shipping on an order total of $120 (plus sales tax) for a dozen small parts is a little hard to swallow, particularly when they blast fast and free shipping all over the web. I call that false advertising.
So I ordered a hood for my 2004 BMW 530i. The hood arrived terribly damaged, event in the corner very bad. So I contacted customer service and they ran me through the steps and issued me a refund no problem, and also told me to keep the damaged Hood... With that refund money I ordered another Hood thinking this one would come perfect, but it didn't. It also came terribly damaged. I called again and this time they were not helpful, that manager guy is something that I cannot say on the internet because I want to keep the language for all ages but he is nothing but a coward who hides behind a telephone and screws people over. So now I am fighting with my credit card company to dispute the charge because they have not issued a refund for this second damaged Hood. I do not recommend this website this is the worst website I've ever had to deal with. I wish they would be shut down!
Parts Geek sent a defective part, an electric driven unit that did not work. A quality outfit would have said oops, and taken care of the problem. Not Parts Geek. Remember, this was their bad! I paid for a functional part in good faith and only received trash. They never fulfilled their end of the bargain. Now to get a refund, they want me to pay for return postage and a restocking fee. That would be appropriate if this was a matter of MY choice to return something, but is not appropriate when they sent a non functioning part. When they send postage, I will return their trash if they want it. In the meantime, I have obtained a working part from a good source and do not need Parts Geek ever again.
The PartsGeek system lists items at low prices to draw you in and get you to give your info & place an order.
The order is then reviewed by a human. If the humans decides they won't make enough profit, or they're having trouble finding a source for the item, they put your order on hold to stall for time, falsely claiming there's something wrong with your address or billing info.
At that point there's no telling what will happen. They may cancel the order and refund your money or you may have to fight to get your money refunded.
In either case, in the end, this untrustworthy company has your info on file and it's exactly the sort of company that makes money off selling people's info to marketing companies.
I purchased 2 gas caps at 15.00 each. They only sent one. They would not refund me the 15.00 without jumping through a number of hoops including copies and pictures and return shipping? I ended up taking the loss because I had already given the one as a gift. Horrible customer service.
I can see if a part is defective. It happens, but two in a row indicates that they sell overpriced substandard parts. Additionally they don't send a replacement and wait for your return. They demand for payment on a new part and refund you whenever they want. In my case it was 2 weeks after they received the return before my card showed a pending refund and another 4 days for it to be available. I am in the process of returning the second one now and they won't call back since I am not getting another one. I have one coming in locally at my dealership Monday. Yes the dealership is 40 dollars more, but I know it's original and will actually work which is more than I can say for the parts I ordered here as well as parts geek employees.
This website was suspish and too good to be true for me. I never got an email confirmation/tracking # so I got a little worried. Turns out a few business days later my rim got here and it fit perfectly, it was also in perfect condition. I'm so happy with my purchase!
I ordered from this company thinking that their service would be what they said they would provide. Except I didn't receive my parts in a timely manner as promised and then they tried to blame it on their delivery service I had to pay extra for. Do not waste your time or money here! Order from a real parts company.
Ordered a Nissan rogue sport part. Ever since I had the car(4 years), I know to say sport. Way different parts from the regular rogue. My mechanic said the part was too big, so I called customer service, who really didn't care and then called back because I saw I had to pay for shipping. Talked to Sven, who was pleasant, but completely deaf to my situation. Being in sales/customer service for 14 years, I can honestly say this was the worst experience ever.
I opened the package. I did not need the part. Never installed. Put it back into the package and sent it back. Parts Geek sent it back to me saying that it had been installed. Total BS
I would not recommend buying anything from this online company. I purchased a set of front rotors that were warped out of the box. Thinking this had been resolved. I tried other issues that may cause a unbalance in the front of my vehicle with breaking. At the end of all the trial and error, it ended up being the rotors. Parts geek would not stand behind their product.
I purchased a water pump parts kit from parts Greek geek for my 2008 Honda Odyssey. I took the parts to my local mechanic and as you was trying to install them he he noticed none of them would fit. They are no threads in the shoulders of the water pump housing and all of the bearings were incorrect I had to pay to have these things shipped back. If I could give it less than one as a rating I would. I would recommend not using PartsGeek for any part that you really need to have work.
Ordered an electronic throttle body, took over a week and a half to get, part was absolute junk,TPS fell apart in less than a 100 miles, causing a very dangerous situation, fell apart in the wide open position, making car unpredictable and dangerous...never again will I purchase anything from this place...and pfft won't even get into their customer service and return policies...
Don't deal with these clowns. A total rip off and aggravation no help at all. They send me the wrong tail light assembly and they would not accept the return past 30 days. What difference does it make. Not like I changed my mind, they sent wrong part and it took me longer than 30 days to try and put it on.
Ordered parts that came in a "Kit" but were boxed individually and labeled such. After my husband installed three of the parts in our vehicle which took some time as had to uninstall the old parts first, got to the last part and it didn't line up. PartsGeek will not allow a return unless it's the whole kit. They want my husband to spend hours removing all the other parts, which of course would mean re-installing the old parts because of one bad one. This is absurd and obviously they have no idea what it takes to do the job. Or they wouldn't expect this. They've lost a customer.
I ordered a compressor and dryer from this company and paid a mechanic to put them on only to find out both parts were defective. Now I have to go through hell for the return and partsgeek does not reimburse labor so now i have a loss of 297 dollars. Buyers beware! It's better to buy from your local parts store and have the warranty than to order online and be screwed out of labor for faulty parts the admit they sell.
Their customer service is totally inexperienced and unwilling to help. I asked for the supplier number and spoke to apparently the highest supervisor there is and he didn't know a number to any supplier or warehouse and told me if i wanted the information then I'd have to go find it myself. I have no idea how he came to be in that position and I can assure you that this place is a scam. Do not order form this company.
Ordered wheel bearing hubs and axle nuts received 2 rotors and brake pads for who knows what and 2 electric plugs for God knows what and impossible to contact anyone to remedy this issue. Will be submitting this gross negligence to the Pennsylvania attorney General to investigate for mail order fraud.
I received uncomplicated parts, my Optim was buy new parts or wait
Here is email they send, people go to dealer instead drop shipping from these websites
We have started a tracer claim investigation for you.
When a customer claims they have not received a part, and the shipping provider claims they delivered the part, OR is lost in transit, the only thing we can do is start a tracer claim investigation.
Please be advised that tracer claim investigations may take 7-14 Business days to complete.
Unfortunately, this is out of our control.
If you can not wait for the investigation, you will need to place a new order now or wait on the claim to be resolved.
Those are the only options. We will work to resolve these issues.
This sucks to fix will take two weeks way to go parts geek. Not sure who prepares order but something as simple as an order recap with option to fix anything that looks wrong would help avoid this dumb $#*! from happening
Answer: Because they're unprofessional, unethical, communist fuckin jackasses!
Answer: Parts geek had the rudest and most infuriating customer service I've encountered ever.
Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
Answer: Because they are either crooks, or they have some nut in the warehouse grabbing whatever and sending it to you even if it's wrong wrong wrong!
