Each time I call it gets more challenging to get anything done. I just changed address, but I'll bet I have to call back a second time to get them to record the change correctly.

This prescription provider is the absolute worst. Over communicate the same information and under communicate essential information.
Get a script from DOC - but wont tell anyone or investigate w/ Doc to let them know why they have an issue with the script. -
Takes me 3 weeks to get it ironed out.

Wrong medication

Six months after being switched to Optum RX by my insurance company things have not improved. I have had to change a bunch of my medications because their coverage is poor and my prescription costs have increased substantially. This has impacted my quality of life, as I am now on less effective medication.

I just went through a lengthy prior authorization process for a medication, which was approved. I received the medication today, and it is the wrong medication. I am literally, currently on the phone with Optum and they said that their records indicate that they 1) have the prior authorization 2) the medication on the prior authorization is rejected when they try to authorize sending it to me and 3) as a result, they just sent me the WRONG MEDICATION.

Isn't dispensing the wrong medication illegal?

My insuance just changed to OptumRx from ExpressScripts, and it is terrible. Most of my medications that I've been on for years went from being covered to not being covered. The alternatives that OptumRx recommends I change to are medications I have tried in the past that do not work for me. My doctor has requested a special exemption, but I have still heard nothing back from Optum.

Even worse, is when I try to order medications in their online portal, no prices are available. It simply says "pricing not available." It's the same for every medication. If I add it to my cart and try to check out, it says that the medication is free, but has a disclaimer that says that they could charge me any amount for the medication when they ship it. There's no option to let me review that charge before they make it and I have to provide payment information to order the prescription so they can make this surprise charge. It is extremely shady.

Even worse, they are an online business, but have no email or online customer service contact. You have to call them on the phone and the hold times are very long. Customer service is NOT helpful at all.

This company is basically built to rip people off on their essential medications and I am disgusted that a company like this even exists.

Optum infusion pharmacy

I'm happy with the specialty pharmacy but the patient coordinator that has been assigned to me negates anything that the pharmacy does. She is rude arrogant and a liar. The people at the pharmacy go out of their way to be helpful but the coordinator never returns calls and if she does she acts like it's beneath her to talk to the patients

TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES! How do I have to go back and forth so many times with different employees, calling back constantly and finding out that my prescription was there the whole time? And that the "prescription request" that was sent because they couldn't see my prescription (THAT IS LITERALLY WHAT YOUR COMPANY DOES) canceled out my active prescription, causing there to be an even longer delay? It took me MONTHS to finally get my medication. If they sold it on the street, I would try my luck with a drug dealer. This company is the worst.

They fail to provide email notifications when a prescription can't be filled as I requested a medication that has always been filled and suddenly it was cancelled for reasons not given by the person I called to inquire why. It was suggested that it couldn't be filled as they needed a doctors' prescription and that I should call the doctor to get the prescription. Isn't it their job to contact the doctor when a patient requests a new refill? I ended up running out of the medication, which is not to be stopped, due to their unresponsiveness. The doctor called it in to a local pharmacy when it was requested as a mail order so the price was higher.

Ordered meds end of 2021 and they screwed it up again. Now my drugs are late and I have a copay for the new year. Worst pharmacy ever in 7 years they get about 40% wrong. Wish I could get meds somewhere elese.

Bad Customer Service

Optum RX Pharmacy has the worst customer service and I give them a zero. My health insurance through my husband work has changed as of January 2022 and they would not transfer my prescription to the new approved local pharmacy. They also blocked me from the Optum RX Pharmacy website so I cannot make the transfers requests. So frustrating. I contacted my doctor's office and talk to a wonderful lady I have known for many years and they are sending my prescription to my new pharmacy. There is always a way around bad customer service, so don't give up no matter what you are dealing with today.

Zero If I could

Their website is SO COMPLICATED. You think a simple re-order and auto shipment of your medication would be easy, no! To make matters worse, the customer service is THE WORST! I was put on hold which is fine I get it, but they don't tell you that your are going to be put on hold and then be bounced around people asking you the same question "What is your first and last name, what is your date of birth". They obviously do not care about their customer service and they are lazy and inconsiderate. I am literally not going to use my company's insurance and buy my so I can avoid optimum RX and SCL health

They will sell us an expired test, and under a promise that we had three months of grace to use the product. Once we we're ready test for our return from vacations. Test help center told us that there was no way to do the test- we had to find a local testing clinic to comply with our return to the US requirements. Upon our return, Optum store rudely advise us that they had a disclaimer on their web site and they will not return our money.
Shame of a company with bad customer service and expired products- stay away from them!

BEWARE! This website is a scam!

I order a couple at home Covid tests with over night shipping. After a week and not receiving my tests I called the company several times for my tests to be shipped. Each time they promised it would be shipped same day and I would receive next day. This never happened. I was on a tight deadline as I had upcoming travel and ordered it a week in advance and still didn't receive it. I emailed them and told them I'd like a refund since i never got the tests and had already left the country without them. 2 weeks later then sent me a tracking number for the test even though I had already asked for a refund. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMPANY EVER!

This company deserves a 0 rating. I have plenty of complaints to list. 1) The customer service department lacks training and customer service skills and is obviously outsourced because the CSRs can barely speak English and can't answer the majority of your questions so they put you on hold forever hoping you'll eventually just hang up. 2) When making a payment and you tell them that it's just a "one time payment" they still put the card number you give them on file and then automatically charge it without your consent/authorization on the next shipment. I have had my banking accounts go negative several times because of this and Optum RX doesn't refund you the bank fees that they caused. 3) I have spent the last year fighting for my cards to be removed from the account and each time have been blatantly lied to by each CSR saying that they took them off only to call right back and speak to a different CSR who tells me that they are still there. 4) I had to demand repeatedly to speak to a supervisor and after being placed on hold for long periods of time and an hour total of being on the phone, I was finally able to speak with someone but can't be sure they were even a supervisor. 5) The website is useless. 6) Medication has been on back order the majority of the time. Optum RX is not an honest company in my opinion and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

Do not depend on these people. Your shipment may or may not happen. If it doesn't they could care less there is no way to get them to move quickly if you are waiting. Terrible service. Don't know about the product never got it.

Horrible Customer Service

This company is one I would NEVER choose
To work with. Customers unfortunately are forced into using them per the insurance company which is also BS. I should have the choice of my pharmacy. That being said, I have made 8 phone calls so far over a three day period and they still can not process my order correctly! I need these medications in a time sensitive manner, and they are causing me way more stress than needed, and can't get it together, and it has been back and forth for 3 days! I hate Optum RX with a passion at this point! If you can, AVOID them!

No support for customers

I was told that my prescription was changed to "over the counter". I have been denied refills from Optum Rx. The prescription is a critical prescription because of a very rare blood disorder that I have. Optum Rx said that my prescription is canceled. I must buy it over the counter. Only problem, they will not give me an over the counter sale of the prescription! NO ONE from Optum Rx has reached out to me to help. Basically, I feel they are telling me to go die. Shovel ready medicine at work!

The Worst

Customer service will literally hang up on you if it isn't something quick to answer after long hold times. I have been trying to get a prior authorization to go through that they get wrong every six months. I started on Oct. 11,2021, and today it is 12/16/2021 and it still has not gone through. Even the Supervisor's are unhelpful. Someone put in a case for me to have my situation investigated and even they have not been back in touch with me. I have wasted over 12 hours on the phone with them to still not have my issue corrected... which is on their end... not my doctor's or mine like they try to excuse it. Then they transfer me again. It is an endless cycle for a prescription I have had for 2 1/2 years.
