I strongly recommend staying away from this company!!
Not only that they have stolen my money and given me no car, but their customer support is really the lowest I have ever seen!
I rented a car from them in Glasgo, when I got there the car rental place was quite a long way from the airport and they had no car for me because I arrived 1 day later. So yes that is my fault, but I have rented the car for 7 days and it was fully paid!!! I asked them to give me another car they did not want to, and I ask to at least give me a discount on renting another one, not even the smallest intention from the customer service people over the phone to try to help. Basically, they were looking foreword to just cash that money from me, as the rental company has already rented the car to someone else, so they make more money like this.
If you want a company that just looks for reasons to pull money out of your pocket and devalue you as a customer go ahead!
You may pick your cart in time, but I am sure they find other reasons to be as they are.
After that, I had a high standard customer service with renacar.com, who were very kind to help me find a car and even refunded me the price of a car that I have booked without reading that they do not rent cars with people that have penalty points on the license, Their customer support staff were very nice and respectful and ran the extra mile to find me a company that will rent me a car. I didn't mind paying double the price as I have got what I needed and I have been treated with respect!!!!

Tip for consumers: Do not ever use Opodo for anything!!!

AVOID they are scam - FRAUD
I booked a flight with Opodo, they charge me more then showed in their website, had to change the dates, and they charged more, unfortunately I have to cancel my trip for personal reasons, and I asked them for the refund, they said they will refund me 80%, in 10 days, but they didn't I contact them lots of times, they tell different stories, each time I called I waited at least 40 minutes,
their customer service is overseas, and they don't care, they don't have an email, or UK customer service,
Honestly Opodo is the worst on earth, Avoid them, simply check their feedback here or search online,
they are NIGHTMARE, I wish I have NEVER dealt with them.

I will never ever use this site and I will tell every single human I know not to use this site, and everyone reading this comment.
I use Opodo to save money form my 2 tickets but I ended up paying way more than I can get from the airline directly or from any local agency office.
1 the 2 ticket was for 200 each, when I pressed buy it gone up in 5 minutes to 217, and I had to pay $7 support to get a confirmation email, there was no instruction about the support and if you would get an email with no support service, plus they charged in gpd or so no other option was available so I had to pay a 3.5% rate to USF
so I ended up paying instead of 400 I payed $480 so extra 80$ this never happened with Expedia and MEA
this is the worst online ticket purchase experience I ever had.
I used this site to save money not to pay more.
the support is very very bad, there is no support only a robot answering.

NEVER BOOK WITH THEM, YOU'RE BETTER OFF BOOKING WITH THE AIRLINE DIRECT

My experience with Opodo is a bad one, unfortunately.

tl;dr book directly with the airline of your choice, don't go through Opodo. Not worth the worry, not worth the booking fees, not worth the wasted time/energy, not worth a one hour wait/phone call with their helpline.

I'd bought tickets for my parents as a present, and upon purchasing them i found that it takes "up to 24 hours" to process my tickets. It rang alarm bells when after 24 hours, i still had NO confirmation on my tickets despite already having PAID for them!

I phoned their helpline, and was on hold for 50 minutes! after a hurried conversation with the person, i basically was told to wait yet ANOTHER 24 hours for processing and confirmation. Here's where it gets fishy. The Opodo person told me to wait 24 hours, and if it's still processing, they'll release my tickets to me straight away. I asked how come they can't just release my tickets to me now, what's the difference between waiting 24 hours and having them processed now? He couldn't answer me and simply said "the process might be too confusing for you to understand" !!! How patronising!

As expected, another 24 hours later (Mind you, it's now been 48 hours or more!) it still says "processing" on my booking (both on Opodo's website and mobile app). I phoned the airline directly and was told by the airline that even they wouldn't recommend Opodo. The airline person said that they would always discourage people from booking with Opodo because often times, Opodo will hoard all their bookings and release/process tickets in one go, not as and when they come in. This means that i would have had to wait at least a WEEK for my tickets without phoning to chase them! this is why so many people don't get their tickets if they book last minute and some don't get them at all!

I phoned Opodo right after speaking to the airline, and they hurriedly released all my tickets. Why couldn't they have done this before?! i fly fairly frequently and i have never experienced this with any of my ticket bookings. They are always processed IMMEDIATELY. this is the first i've heard/experienced a booking that needed so long to process. It's ridiculous!

My advice, and the airline's advice, is that instead of booking through Opodo, travellers should book directly with the airline of their choice. or just choose another service provider that's more reliable. It took me almost a week to sort my tickets out, had i booked with the airline, it would have taken me less than a day to get all my documents processed and ready to check in. thankfully i booked early. i feel horribly for all those who book with Opodo and don't get their tickets due to their "processing procedure" of accumulating bookings only to process them all at once, thus delaying everyone's ticket release. BAD experience, NEVER AGAIN!

i checked the prices and it'd been the same if not cheaper if i booked directly with the airline because Opodo has hidden fees (admin fees, booking fees, etc.) PLUS the TWO HOURS i was on the phone to them needlessly added to my phone bill as well. They're not cheaper, and even if they were, it's really not worth the hassle!

I bought a ticket from Opodo for a family member that insisted because it was a bit cheaper than the company I normally buy of. After admitting to payment , there was suddenly added 200 % to the original price of the ticket.
I called to complain and fix the mistake, I waited a long time, and than was connected to a call center in India. A very friendly person, who very obbiously was trained in talking to people who want to complain, convinced me that there was really nothing that he could do for me. I can fullfil a claimform online, and on trustpilot and other review sites I can read that 0% of all people that complain, ever got their money back.
Right now I am afraid that they have put several reservations on my card and they will take even more money of my account, while I can do nothing to stop them. I don't understand how this 'company' is still in business, and no instance has been able to stop them. They have existed for many years, and tricked money out of all their costumers.

These were totally useless

These were totally useless. I was informed that i needed to go through my booking company to upgrade my seat. When i repeated this request around twenty-five times for the guy to understand what i was asking he stated that because the second flight was a short domestic flight it was unable to be upgraded, yet the long haul flight was what i wanted upgrading. He then said he unable to do this, even though the long haul flight had already told me they could upgrade me, but needed to come through the booking agent. Over one hour later, and my son trying to explain my requirement, i ended up with not getting any assistance to rectify this at all. Will ensure these are never my travel company again

I booked a flight and Hotel but booked the wrong week]
I rang them 10mins later and they said the Hotel was non refundable even though it said free cancelations (see pic) and they flights would have to be cancelled and rebooked which cost me £900
Most unhelpful and worst compnay i have ever dealt with

Paid for premium economy got economy.
8 months ago I booked an airline ticket Melbourne to Europe return and got conformation from Opodo for premium economy.
Yesterday they send an email thats states economy.
I call, premium is full it's economy now, they say?
Who does this?
They took my money 8 months ago.
I thought I'd only have a problem if I wanted to chance something, not opodo taking from me.
Daylight robbery.
* I have since been told it could take up to 21 days for someone to get back to me.
They use words like "escalate" to make you think they are doing something, but they're not.
UK based company hiding behind an Indian call centre.

I booked a economy flight to Neapel a few weeks ago. According to the information provided during the booking as well the information PRESENT in my order/booking confirmation from Opodo, I was allowed to take a bag with some xxxx dimension per person on board.
Fast check by Condor(air carrier ) later showed that the rules for the allowed package on board are quite different that provided by Opodo. I had to buy additional luggage just because I was mislead by Opodo what is allowed on board. I tried to contact Opodo - no way, they have no customer service at all, just a few phone numbers without answer or after 10 min waiting a guy from India answer and start to apologies for that and explaining that this is not related to his department. I opened a few cases, no answer,no any attention and care for the customers.
Opodo is absolutely no reliable and misleading platform. If you have luck - ok. If not - forget about your money

Tried to add luggage, the site said there was an error so the payment didnt go through, tried again on my partners booking for the luggage and same error happened. 3 days later 2 charges appear on my credit card. I ring customer services, they refuse to refund, I ask to speak to Team Leader, they refused twice, I asked for an email to email to and they refused to supply one saying they would send me an email with the replyto details and case number. The email they sent me had no details, just a "we are unable to assist you further". This Company is a joke and treats customers with contempt. Really appalled!

Despite giving information several times to get a refund of a cancelled booking and promises to pay within 72 hours, within 7 days etc nothing happens.
Call centre is appalling and we will never use this rotten company ever again.
I would not give them 1 star- minus 5 stars is appropriate.

Do NOT use this company!! You will lose your money and possibly your trip!! Book directly with the airline - if you need to make a change, you must call them at 2 euros per minute with an hour wait EASILY!! It is truly A SCAM.

I discovered that I do not have seat reservation number today .
Opodo sold flight ticket without seat . it is not bus

Also i did not aware of this third party opodo which is insidous

my flight depart will be 2nd june

I really do not know how can print out my boarding pass without reservation number

I chatted with Ryanair customer service today

very gutted with this third party scam .

Opodo is gaslighting customers .

All I want is my boarding pass very soon .

Also third party scam is horriblely affected my holiday excitement .

I am writing to complain about a booking I made for flights from Newcastle to Prague with 1 stop in Paris. The booking reference is *******802 and airline booking reference is outbound 2zg67e and return sn5l3w. I paid £194.30 for return flights which debited my account. The flight going over was fine but on my return (even after my email confirmation) on arrival to the airport, they explained I was not booked on the flight even though all the documents said I was. As a result of this I had to pay 120 euros to get to paris and by the time I had spoken to AirFrance, I had missed the plane and they also confirmed I was not booked on this flight. I then got to Paris where I was stranded after having eye surgery. My only option was to then fly to Edinburgh and this cost was extra 305 Euros. I then had to get my partner to drive 2 and a half hours to collect me from Edinburgh and bring me back to Newcastle which also cost Fuel and time.

Worst experience I've ever had with a travel company, sold flexi date option which it had no intention of honoring despite a week's notice and the policy saying they needed a minimum of 24 hours notice. Despite repeated attempts to contact them through a variety of methods, I have had zero customer service to resolve this issue and have lost several hundred euro on this. I shouldn't say 'lost' - I consider Opodo to have stolen the money. An absolutely unethical company. Avoid.

I have been dealing with Opodo regarding a refund that was sent to Opodo from Easyjet. I have been on chats with their customer service 3 times so far and each was about 2 hours long. When I ask a question, they took about 5 minutes to respond. Each time typing "please wait" every few minutes. When it came to loading the supporting documentation, they said it was taking too long and ended the chat. BTW, I was not loading it slow at all. By the third chat session, I had their tactics figured out and sent documents within 2 seconds because I had everything pre-loaded and ready to go. Their response was then that they never received them, or I sent it to the wrong email address. My response to that tactic was to send them screen shots that were indisputable that not only were the documents sent, but to the correct email address. They even went as far as to say that I could not forward an email to them (which what they originally asked for) but had to print it out, scan it, and attach it to an email that they sent... all in an effort to say that I was not responsive fast enough so they could end the chat. Unfortunately for them, that tactic did not work as I had all the documents and emails scanned as well. When all their tactics no longer worked, they resorted to saying the email and invoice from Easyjet, which clearly showed a refund was sent to Opodo, was not adequate. Easyjet had previously emailed me all the proof that they had that a refund was sent, as well as written an email that stated a refund was sent. On this third chat session, at the 1 hour and 40 minute mark, the very rude customer service rep realized he had no other delay and avoidance tactics left and quickly typed "is there anything else we can help you with" and immediately ended the chat as I was typing "yes". The best way to deal with this HORRIBLE company and their EVEN MORE HORRIBLE customer service it to call your bank and cancel all credit card charges or open a dispute. I called my bank and the charges were reversed in 1 day. I should have saved my time, effort, and aggravation by not dealing with these crooks to begin with, but once I did, should have resolved the problem with my finance company. Opodo obviously had no intention of deal with it honestly. My advice - STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I travel quite a bit and this has got to be the worst travel company I have EVER dealt with in my life!!!

Terrible, terrible service. Never use Opodo! I booked flights with them to the USA. I requested flights to RDU. They said there were none (there are), so I booked to CLT instead - a 2 hour drive away. When I discovered there were flights to RDU, and asked to change my flights the same day I booked the original flights, they said I would lose all my money. I asked for a phone number or email address to submit a complaint and they gave me some no-reply type email address that generated an auto reply, and no response to my complaints.

I paid an extra £400 for a flexible return date. When I tried to change my return, they said there were literally NO FLIGHTS. There were, of course, but I had to book directly through United, and paid an extra £600 as United had no record of the flexible fare.

Two days ago I got an email from Opodo saying that my return flights have been cancelled. I am currently on hold trying to figure out what this means. I have twice been cut off by the call centre in India, having waited for 40 minutes. The online chat facility on their website requires you to have a Facebook account, which I don't have. I have wasted an enormous amount of time and money and never experienced such terrible customer service in my entire life. AVOID!!

The airline had changed one of my flights which meant that I would have missed my connecting flight. Opodo didn't bother to tell me, I found out by chance.
The process of changing my flight was the most appalling customer experience I have ever had. I literally had to spend hours on the phone and I finally fixed the issue directly through the airline (who took pity on me).
Frequently I was put on hold and then forgotten.
They really don't have a right to be in business.

extremely bad service
they are incompetent and their website gives misleading information
the employees give misleading information - they do not care about the client - each time you contact them they reply using a template email without even reading what clients ask them
they lied to me - they told me i would not get charged but i did.
They do not let clients make complaints - their website doesnt work
NEVER USE OPODO EVER
STAY AWAY AT ALL COST"

Is never use this terrible company ever again. Impossible to speak to anyone and if you're lucky enough to finally get through to anyone they are no help at all. Steer clear would be my advice.

Below is the email I got at the beginning of May from Opodo regarding the refund I was due to receive for a cancelled flight back in JANUARY!! Still no refund.

If you have any sense at all, do not book a flight through Opodo. They are a complete waste of space.

Their customer service is a mirage. Tried to cancel using their 24-hour, 7-day international hotline, but when I called the number the call center was "closed." By the time I found an alternate number, the automated cancellation option would not work, and the agent I was finally connected with claimed it was too late to cancel my booking even though technically we still had time left.

I made a mistake when booking my flights from Brisbane Australia to Entebbe Uganda and from Entebbe to Nairobi by not putting in me amd my friends middle names. Disputes numerous emails and calls to Opodo I was given the run around and now have had to book through an alternative company thereby loosing my over $2000 that was paid. I feel really upset as although I made the mistake I should have been able to add our middle names. I was prepared to pay any administrative cost but was not given the chance. So if you don't want to risk making a mistake when you book via Opodo then don't use them. You will not get a chance to remedy your mistake.

Guys, it would only cost you about £40 to take them to small claims court. Dont just take the loss, these people need to be held to account. Id also contact Rip Off Britain to get a programme made about their tactics
