The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

Almost everything was great with this site except for the service charge. It was one third of the ticket so it ended up coming out to about $100 for 2 tickets that I print at home! What's the service there? I could see maybe a little processing fee for having to post the ticket but $47 for a $150 ticket is crazy! I will never use this site again simply because of that. I was willing to pay $155 for the tickets for $200 is outrageous and I really shouldn't have bought them but there for my girlfriends birthday so I really had to! Next time we will just skip the show or use a different site!
I love Mary J Blige. Thank you for being fast and accurate. I would like to do business with you in the future.
Dear OnlineCity Tickets:
I'll be totally honest here like the hundreds of other folks were. I bought tickets from your website as it popped up LOOKING like the actual Ticketmaster website. I thought the tickets were $100+ (I think it said $104 or close to that) and I purchased three. Upon receipt - which was a few minutes from purchase - I realized that, 1) another person's name was on the tickets; 2) I was charged $414 on my confirmation receipt and, 3) the actual tickets were $76.50.
Now, after reading all of the reviews which certainly hasn't stopped your company from continuing to remain in business, I realized that one types in Ticketmaster and your website is crafty enough to pop up and one just heads into it for tickets. I must congratulate you as this is a smooth operation and we dummies aren't smart enough to read the SMALL PRINT? Ha ha - good one!
SO, all I can hope for is that my three tickets are good for the actual performance. I am treating my husband and daughter-in-law and I PRAY I don't get there and find someone else in the seats. How embarrassing will that be!
So - that is my review - not that your company honestly cares as I now realize folks sell their tickets through you to make money. I also got to the actual Ticketmaster website after I realized my mistake going through your company, and could have gotten tickets for the actual price with NO additional costs.
Take care and I hope you make tons of money off of fools like me. It's a great scam!
Your site makes it so easy to pick the seats you want and order in no time. I will be sure to use your site again the next time I need tickets for a show.
Got charged almost $300 American for two tickets that were worth $150 Canadian.
Thought I was on a legit ticket site and realized after I was mislead to this site.
Also tickets came later than they were suppose to come with just 2 days to realize I was screwed
Very good web and easy steps, secure to buy tickets, we fallow the instructions very easy and now we are waiting for the show
Its incredible, I found my ticket so easy and fast. I really recommended,.
This is the a wonderful experience in buying tickets
I was skeptical at first because I wasn't familiar with Online City Tickets, but I spoke with friend that recently purchased tickets and they confirmed it was legit. So, I made my purchase and was satisfied,
No problems we are satisfied, don't know what else to say we hope to enjoy the program thank you for your service
Great site, will definitely use again. Replyed by email quickly, and looked at site for a bunch of other shows.
Nice service nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice
The fees were unexpectedly high! $115.00 tickets ended up being $177.33. So $345.00 for 3 turned into $532.00 I about canceled the order. But we really want to see RHCP, so I bit the bullet. Will think twice if there is a next time.
Multiple calls regarding my tickets being taken already is disturbing. Almost cancelled all together.
Easy ordering, quick service, but DID NOT LIKE sneaky add on service charge, which only appeared when doing final checkout. What is it for anyway? It is something like a Scam! It applies to both tickets. That is like a 15% price hike! Just one service charge would have been acceptable. Don`t be greedy. It is still only one transaction!
Even though tickets were quite pricey, it was an easy transaction... received order confirmation the same day
Bought tix online... Process was fine... But unreasonable processing fees for online almost a third of the cost of tickets.
Great website for buying tickets. It was very easy and convenient. I got my tickiets right away. Thank you so very much!
The service charge on each ticket was a surprise. I didn't notice when shopping for the tickets that there would be a charge that equalled nearly 1/3 of the purchase price.
Like most of the reviews I am now reading, I too fell victim to this very clever deviants. After failing to obtain tickets to see Tool at the Gorge Amphitheater via Ticketmaster I Web searched and found a site Gorgetickets.com. Thinking this was the actual vendor I stupidly did not read much of the literature on the page. Seeing the site with the venue pictured, complete with description I believed this to be their site. I did know the tickets were above face value and was OK paying the inflated price as I figured that maybe it was a billing site and the tickets were marked up. No big deal, except that their was an absorbent charges applied after hitting the order confirmation button! Original ticket price of $117. Price paid $202. Surcharge of $62 and change plus a charge of $6.50 for email delivery!? Purchased 2 tickets so that was applied for each ticket! And to top it all off received a confirmation email stating the tickets would be emailed on 6/17 (the day before the concert). When I contacted onlinecity tickets, (after I learned that was the name of the company, not gorgetickets.com) to find out why the date of delivery was so far out, the rep stated that "they were a middleman between the seller and buyer and the seller sets the dates there is nothing we can do about that." I asked if they could contact the seller on my behalf and she replied "yes what would you like to ask?" I told her the same question I asked you? And she stated that "the seller sets that there's nothing we could do." I then went back and read everything on their site and confirmed no refunds would be given, unless the show is cancelled. For them stating repeatedly that they and all their brokers are professional, reliable and licensed I find the only thing that is professional about this outfit is how good they are at exploiting people of their hard earned money and leagally covering their backsides from their rip off practices. Spread the word and hopefully you are not reading this after you have added to the coffers of this truly deceitful company! Stay Away! Long history available of these poor business practices at any of the BBB websites.
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
