The company exhibits a mixed reputation in the unlocking service sector. Positive feedback highlights the speed, reliability, and user-friendliness of their service, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the quick turnaround for unlocking phones and responsive customer support. However, significant concerns arise regarding transparency in pricing and communication, as several customers reported unexpected fees and delays, leading to frustration and distrust. Overall, while the company demonstrates strong capabilities in delivering effective services, addressing issues related to customer support and pricing clarity could enhance their reputation and customer trust.

Quick and easy! Unlocked with them before and they are no BS no hidden fees. The best there is.
This company is a scam and a joke! After receiving a prepayment they are asking to pay 5 times more in order to release your code. That is unacceptable!
Although the order summary states an additional fee MAY be required, a disclaimer under "why do I need to pay this" (readable upon clicking the "Release unlock" link in your email after 24 hours) states that the initial prepayment is standard and is not in fact the "unlock payment". This means a final payment (the actual unlock fee) is a given. This would make their order summary claim that an additional payment "MAY" be required a false and misleading one. Legally speaking this is fraud and mostly certainly a scam. The advertising on the website also makes absolutely no mention of a two part process and instead misleads potential consumers to believe it is a streamlined one-part process. I don't care about 26 dollars but certainly not paying 84 more to finalize it. But then again, Officialsimunlock.com was probably banking on that, considering that the premise of the scam is not having to perform the actual work of unlocking your phone while still collecting 26 dollars. Earning a guaranteed profit without having to deliver on a good or service is in fact theft. And theft my friends is a criminal act. Believe me folks don't waste your money here. The cell phone store down the street from me charges 50 not 26 plus 84 (100). I'm sure there are some in your area that not only charge less but also more than likely employ decent human beings and not loathsome, crusty, soulless scam artists.
The experience ended with the phone being unlocked so that's a successful exercise.
The original headline price was under £20 and it ended up costing nearer £70 I don't like being misled on price or being referred to small print after the event.
The advert said that i could unlock my phone for £19 + VAT, which I thought was fair. I gave them my phone model and IME number and paid the fee. A day later I received a message saying that my phone was ready to be unlocked and I had to pay the final fee which was £38.99 + VAT, so a total of £58.98. I contacted them and basically they said I should have read the small print. If your phone is a legitimate phone don't use this company.
This site is a complete scam I plead with you don't trust or believe a word they say. I immediately paid them $27 and then the next day the technician/ worker replied back to me saying I'm sorry but they can't help me n that I was at fault because I gave them the wrong IMIE NO:. Now they show themselves in there own foot. My emails and screenshots of the IMIE NO of the phn itself. Prove that I gave them the correct details I made sure because I checked it like more then 10 times. I'm hoping now that I proved them wrong that i will be getting my refund back. But I don't like my chances. If they make good on there refund I give my word I'll make good on my review. But till then ppl I have all the proof you need of what I had sent them n email them. Everything lines up good with me. But everything on there side is way of. Om all the proof you need so don't just say in ur head ohhh it's only $20-$30 keep it n save it because u won't get nothing more then a email telling u you sent them incorrect info n can't get a refund. Save it just imagine yourself multiplied by easy over 100 ppl a day do the math for these ppl who choose to sit back n rob ppl n laugh at ppl. There making great money n all cash in hand, I hope u read this and don't fall victim to this scam. Thanks
Takes an initial payment of £23.99, and then asks for an additional £36.99 to release the code. I would avoid at all cost.
Nice one, it is okay. Though it took longer than I expected.
Should have been told of this years ago when I applied for the key with Vodaphone in the UK in 2012 at Bournemouth. Staff there told me to apply to Tasmania where I lived - but even there they could not find my account nor my payg mobile number.!?
I have no idea how the average review rating is above 4 stars, but this company operates on the basis of misleading you. They charge an initial fee which you are lead to believe is the unlock fee (usually around €15). A day later, they then send you the price to unlock the phone (an extra €107 in my case). I could have had it unlocked for €100 by my provider, but for the sake of speed (quoted 12 hours) I paid official sim unlock. Note: OSU charge you even when it's most often free to unlock the phone from the service provider.
10 days later, they still had not unlocked the phone. OSU responded to email queries to say the unlock would be soon. They never answer phone calls. My phone was locked to Three Ireland and when I lost patience with OSU, I contacted Three Ireland and they unlocked the phone for free within hours. The tracker page provided by OSU still shows 50% unlocked and that is 2 months ago at time of this review. They did not give a refund even though they failed to unlock the phone. I successfully got my money refunded by bank charge-backs.
Do not use this company. Their practices are misleading and dishonest. The fact they use a virtual business address in London and don't answer any calls should be all the details you need to keep away. It appears to be run by a single male director who I suspect is the same person sending the response emails, posing as a woman. I wasn't diligent to begin with, but you can avoid the inconvenience I went through.
EE lies to it customers.
Never will i or any of my family will be with EE
Received order after two weeks. Too long to wait. Now cannot get code to work on phone.
I agree to pay the total
Price of £19.99.
I then found this wasn't the "actual total" as VAT now added.
Next for the real shock. I was told my unlock was ready. All I needed to do was pay another £43.99.
Apparently this in in the "small print"
Great very happy with service, all works no problems at all
I just hope my phone will be unlocked to any provider now
I just hope my phone will be unlocked to any provider now
Fantastic service thanks so much! But quite expensive!
Answer: 100 percent a scam; morally, legally, colloquially speaking.
Answer: No I would advise you to go somewhere else. This company is a total ripoff.
Answer: You didn't realize it because officialsimunlock.com didnt want you to realize it, at least until after they reeled you in with a first "prepayment".
