These people are not trustworthy. Ordered chair, supposed to be shipped within ten business days, no shipping in sight, now threatening to contest a chargeback. Should have read the reviews before purchasing.
If you like broken chairs then this is the place for you. Sent us a "refurbished" ten your old broken chair. We had to take a video and jump through hoops to get them to acknowledge it was broken. After they admitted it was broken, they said they would send us the part to fix it with a video on how to do it. When I told them I didn't feel I could fix the chair they insulted me and said even a child could fix it. They finally agreed to take it back and refund the money. They shipped the chair back, but we never received a refund. Capital One was ZERO help. They wanted me to basically get a second opinion. Which I could not because I no longer had the chair. Seriously expensive nightmare! Buyer Beware! I rarely leave reviews, but I made an exception for this company.

Purchased a "Herman Miller Aeron" chair for $866. The seat ripped. When I replaced it (another $296), I learned that it was refurbished using fake HM parts. Company wouldn't make it right. Dishonest advertising. Would not recommend.
I ordered a chair from them and waited over two weeks until I contacted them to see the status of my order. I called and automated voice recorder said to send an email. I left a message which was never returned as well as sent an email which they responded at 3 am. They told me that it would be 30-45 days for my order to be processed and 14 days for shipping. That wasn't shared during the purchase process. They were very rude when communicating by email Wien continuous sarcastic remarks that they don't work from basements and that I should be more understanding during Covid. Easy to say when you just spent $1500 on an office chair. They refused to let me know if my order is shipped or not. Says I had to wait seven days for the refund or not. Go find another place that does drop shipment this one sucks.

We ordered 3 Aeron chairs in total.
The first one was good, Aeron size B as ordered. We kept it.
The second one was a size B again... but we had ordered a size C.
So I addressed this to customer service.
Instead of apologizing, their customer service agent was extremely rude and unfriendly. I told them that I would have expected a word of apology... instead, she wrote: "Action speak louder than words. Would like to change the chair or not? Please clarify." I had clarified in my first email already that I wanted to return the chair.
Because in the meantime, we had ordered a third chair, also size C.
Again, they delivered a size B!
I addressed this to their customer service again.
Her is their answer: "You don't want size C either so why complain about which chair we sent?"
I never said that I didn't want a size C either.
This lady was just being rude and extremely unfriendly - and I am still waiting for their return label.
So, I can only say. As long as you order and keep whatever they seem fit to send you, you're fine. If you want the items your ordered and tell them that they sent the same wrong item twice, you're being treated like garbage. It's really not easy to return these chairs. The boxes are enormous and heavy... and still... no apology.
Stay away from this company! They only give you a hard time.
Had bought the Steelcase Amia from them with the headrest based on online reviews of it being a sturdy and upright chair. Got the chair almost a month later, first red flag. What I got wouldn't sit upright and the headrest only rested my head if I was looking at the ceiling, and everything on it felt loose and janky. So I ask for a return and they were pretty responsive, even offering a discount on another as soon as they got theirs back. I politely declined and would just like a refund. I get a response back saying it'll be processed when chair arrives and then I should see the refund 7-14 days later. So I wait, never see anything else through email. Start scouring my email and see a refund transaction through PayPal, except it's PayPal telling me the refund failed and to contact vendor. Email both returns and support and get nothing but crickets for a week. So I just disputed the payment on my Amex my claim already got approved, telling me this isn't the first issue had with this merchant. Never again.
On the website and in correspondence, this company says Aeron chairs will be delivered 30-45 days after purchase. They charge your credit card immediately. In my case, after about 40 days, I emailed asking where was my chair. Evelyn K in Customer Care emailed that it would arrive within 5-10 days. With no notice, it showed up on the sixth day. Looks and works like new at a much lower price.
I ordered a office chair and when it wasn't delivered on time as it was a Xmas present, I requested a full refund and after going back and forth with their customer dis-service department.they stated they attempted to refund be via pay pal when I used a Visa card to purchase the chair. After three months still no refund. AVOID these scammers.
This company is a complete scam. They are not licensed dealers for any of the brands they sell. The products come without manufacturers labels, so you can't even turn to the manufacturer or another dealer for assistance when they refuse to replace or repair a warrantied product. I don't even know if the chairs we purchased are authentic Herman Millers or a knockoff, like the replacement part they keep trying to get me to buy off of Amazon! Their customer service is also insanely rude.

I just received my Herman Miller Aeron. It arrived in great condition. I ordered one of the refurbished chairs and looks as good as new to me. Couldn't be happier. I was a little concerned after the wait time, but you are told up front, and they responded promptly to my questions. I will definitely be ordering more!
I found this company to have excellent customer service. Very responsive. They are some sort of aggregator and have access to new or returned but new parts and send you a legitimate brand name chair for less than retail. If your unhappy with anything they are willing to work with you to come to a happy conclusion.
I ordered from Office Chair on 12/13/22. Cancelled on 12/21/22. It is now 1/20/23 and I do not have a refund to my credit card which was charged immediately through PayPal. I have been told a refund was approved on two separate occasions but completing the refund to my card "is incomplete" both times as well. They do not answer their sales line. They do not answer their customer service line. You are told to email them. At first they responded to emails, but now they don't respond. I'm holding with PayPal but will probably go to my credit card for assistance. Avoid them at all costs!
I ordered my chair 34 days ago. We ordered an Aeron for our home office, and the shipping said 5-14 business days. I emailed them after two weeks and they said I'll have to wait up to 30 days. A MONTH to even start shipping! I haven't received a word from them. I had to reach out to even get the single update I did hear. We're initiating a chargeback, stay FAR AWAY from this company. Just reading the other reviews here, I'm sure I'm going to get some clown responding to me with some excuse about how they think 30 days is an acceptable amount of time to keep someone waiting with zero communication.
For your own sanity, just read the rest of the reviews. Avoid at all costs.
I want to give a shout out to Evelyn Kinsley for the quick response and great service. A wheel broke on a chair I had only had 4 weeks. I reached out to customer service to see if the wheel was cover by warranty. With in just a few hours I received a reply and told they would ship one asap.
I'm not use to this kind of quick service with other companies, so I wanted to call out Evelyn here.
This is a terrible company. Ordered a chair and it was defective. Their customer service department argued with me that we did not assemble it correctly. We did. Sent it back and ordered another chair. The site said 5-24 days shipping. When I enquirer about the delivery date I was rudely told that their is 30-45 days "processing" on top of the shipping time. Stay away from this company!
This company promotes discounted office chairs with timely delivery. THAT IS NOT TRUE.
No delivery of product and had to cancel my order. Still awaiting cancellation confirmation and refund confirmation.

I wish I could give a no star rating. I ordered a chair on 10/22/2022 which never arrived, I cancelled the order on 12/09/22, asked for a refund. They stated that they have issued a refund, but I received no money 22 days from the cancellation and refund request.

I've been trying to contact the Officechairatwork.com Customer Support for more than 6 weeks without a response. I contacted Steelcase Customer Support today, Steelcase rep confirmed within a few minutes that Officechairatwork.com is not an authorized dealer...
Shame on me not checking this upfront, should have bought it from Amazon at regular price for the peace of mind...
The Steelcase also confirmed had I bought from an authorized dealer, it would have been a full replacement under the 12 years of lumbar mechanism warranty...
We are a reseller.
I payed $700 for a chair. It lasted about 4 weeks before the seat started falling apart. I contacted them and they said they'd send a new seat. I waited two weeks, asked for the tracking info and they said it would be another two weeks. It's now three months of this same BS later, and FedEx still says that they haven't received it from them. I finally gave up and asked for a refund. They told me they would give me a 100% refund with no restocking fee. They made me pay for shipping ($400) I called UPS and confirmed that it arrived. I gave them all the info the need and they have blocked my email address. I don't even get the automated responses back. During all this I ordered a REAL HM Aeron, and compared them side-by-side. The materials used on a real chair are FAR higher quality than what they use in the refurbish, which explains why mine broke. This is NOT a legit business. They are scammers only. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
Answer: They'll readily email. Won't answer phone. Will never admit any fault and will dismiss any concerns you have.
Answer: Cheap prices. It's not worth it. It will cause more stress and money than it's worth. Shop elsewhere.
Answer: They took my order & money over a month ago, with a promise of Christmas delivery. No chair yet, no updates or communication. I'd say it's a SCAM.
