I was excited when I found this website and could find the Knoll chair I was looking for at a discounted price for my new office. They advertised free shipping, free returns, and other great offers.
However, when I received my chair, I opened the box to find that each piece (arm pads, metal on the arms, seat cushion, wheels, etc.) was scratched or damaged in some other way. I reached out to customer service via email and told them that my chair was damaged and I would like to process a return. * (Customer "Care" Team) responded asking for pictures and told me that all of their chairs are restored. First of all, I would hardly call the chair that I received "restored"; it seems to be in a used, rough condition. Secondly, this note is hidden in the description of the chair and not clearly advertised. Once I sent the pictures evidencing damage to *, she responded that she could not see any damage... In my mind, denying what the customer is experiencing is horrible customer service. I am extremely unhappy with the communication I have received. Further, she told me that my return would not be eligible as a free return under their conditions because the chair is in usable condition; I would have to pay for return shipping PLUS a 35% restocking fee.
My lesson to you is that if you are looking to buy anything from this company, make sure you read all of the nitty gritty details. Scour the website because important details are not linked where you would expect to find them.
However, in my opinion, I would NEVER recommend this company to any other person. Good luck if you choose to buy from them!

Wish there were less stars for this reviewI I looked online for a Herman Miller Aeron Chair for my daughter's birthday -- to be delivered to her in Texas. Many years ago I bought myself one (when I was working remotely from home) -- and got a good deal on a display chair. It had a few light dings on the casters that were undistinguished and did not affect its function.
Found this company and they had what I wanted. Did not realize that I was buying a USED CHAIR! Wish I read the reviews on this company BEFORE I bought the chair. When I read all the information on the website I did not see anything stating the chair was used.
The shipping and tracking was truly horrid. I could not get to a live person -- this company has NO customer service -- to ask what happened to my order. As other reviewers wrote, the chair was promised by a certain date and that came and went. It took four weeks for the chair to be delivered to my daughter. She was not impressed by how dirty and beat up it was. The chair was poorly packed and the box was broken and yet that was not enough to account for the damage to the chair itself.
Imagine my surprise when a week later I get a second Aeron chair delivered to me in Alabama! The packing was so bad with a box much too light weight -- the chair broke through the box and the box was torn open in four places! I took photos of the box and contacted the company. At first I assumed they made a mistake and sent the chair to Alabama instead of Texas. Then I was told (via Email -- still no communication with a live person!) that I ordered TWO chairs.
I did not order two chairs at $899 each.
This company's website is so bad -- when I ordered one chair for my daughter I found (before I finalized the order or paid for it!) that I had the wrong address -- tried to use different billing and shipping addresses to order her chair. So backed out of that field and started over with the order and finally got it typed in correctly.
Imagine my surprise when I received a chair and second charge on my credit card bill!
Buyer Beware. This is not a reputable company to deal with. The website malfunctions. The merchandise I received was not acceptable. Customer service is horrible.
After I ordered my Herman Miller Aeron chair I started looking at reviews for Office Chairs at work and I started becoming anxious. However my chair arrived a few days ago and so far it seems my worries were unfounded.
Couple thing people should know however
1. The countdown timer on the discount sale is purely a marketing ploy. I bought my chair partially because I thought the sale was going to expire. But that was back in January and each time Ive checked it it says the sale is going to end in five hours. I'll give them credit, its actually a smart idea, but at least as far as I know right now its just a marketing ploy
2. The chairs are REFURBISHED. It does say this on the website, its not exactly hidden, but it isn't in bold writing either
3. Shipping times can vary. I was intially told 5-14 days, and it ended up being closer to roughly 25 days. However, when I emailed them about it they did get back to me within 24 hours saying that it was because there were alot of people ordering Herman Miller Aeron chairs (Which makes sense because these are amazing chairs)
4. Finally, Ive seen a lot of people complaining about lack of helpful customer service. It is true that when you call the number, it goes straight to voicemail, or tell you to email them. They did reply to my email within 24 hours like they said they would, but it did feel a tad "bot" like. Not to insult the person who wrote it by any means, it just felt like a generic, but slightly helpful, reply.
I am happy with my chair, the wheels are a bit stiff and I may have to adjust the raising function because it does sink slightly whenever I sit in it ( I got the size B and I weight roughly 150 lbs at 6 feet tall, so It isnt due to the wrong size.
For the prices they offer, free shipping, and how its already assembled when it comes out of the box, Id say they are a pretty good place to get office chairs from if you dont want to blow a months rent on furniture.
This site is an absolute, 100% complete scam. My experience with this company mirrors countless other reviewers that have come before me: I paid over $900 total for a Herman Miller chair and soft-roll wheels as an add-on. Credit card was charged on 2/5, I got an email stating the order had been processed. 5-14 business days for shipping was the promise. 14 days go by, not a single word of communication from anyone. I reached out to their customer service via email. First I was told it can take up to 30 business days to process, and was given a UPS tracking number that just showed "label created" as the status. I waited 30 business days, still nothing. Reached out again. Now I'm told that due to the "global supply chain shortages" it is expected to take another 10-20 business days, and they assemble all parts and any upgrades (rollerblade wheels in my case) in-house before shipping. Oh, but for an additional $99, I can upgrade to "Quick Ship" which would ship in 2 days...after already waiting over 30! Thankfully, I did not agree to pay this, as it already smelled bad to me, and it turns out my intuition was correct.
I wait the 20 business days, STILL NOTHING! Now I'm pissed. Unfortunately it was only at this point I realized how much of a scam this site is, so shame on me I guess? I asked to cancel my order, first the person tells me my order was scheduled to ship the following week. I stated I still wished to cancel. The rep then tells me, miraculously, my order has shipped...but this time it's a FedEx tracking number, and from a completely different location. I said I still want to cancel, and they tell me that once the order ships you can no longer outright cancel an order...even though I was told MULTIPLE TIMES via email that I could cancel if I wanted, and I first requested to cancel BEFORE it shipped! Lo and behold, 2 days later, a package arrives on my doorstep. It is a chair, clearly used, packaged haphazardly with no upgraded wheels that I was both promised and PAID EXTRA FOR! And, no surprise, the customer service rep has stopped replying to me now after I called them out on all of their lies. At this point I have opened a dispute with my credit card issuer. I have no hope whatsoever that I will ever see a dime of my money back, but these scammers deserve to be punished for their business practices.
The website is a scam, their terms (if you read them) are a scam, their business address is a scam (look it up on Google Maps street view), the customer service rep's name "Evelyn Kinsley" is a scam, the random name and return address listed on the shipping label is a scam...IT'S ALL A SCAM! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, FOR THE SAKE OF ALL OF US WHO DIDN'T LEARN THIS LESSON BEFORE LOSING OUR MONEY!
Answer: They'll readily email. Won't answer phone. Will never admit any fault and will dismiss any concerns you have.
Answer: Cheap prices. It's not worth it. It will cause more stress and money than it's worth. Shop elsewhere.
Answer: They took my order & money over a month ago, with a promise of Christmas delivery. No chair yet, no updates or communication. I'd say it's a SCAM.
