I started about 2 months ago posting items for sale on this useless site. I had great prices & great items for sale. I would look at the "views" & they were very low telling me 1-they were shadow banning me like Fakebook or 2-nobody shops their. They kicked me off their "platform" today because I posted a blue line hoodie which supports law enforcement. That is not allowed on their BS site. To all who read this they also have no customer support & are always BOTHERING you to "promote" your items at a very high price. They also have nonstop ads by mostly Temu & slows up smartphones by a lot. I ran a scan & it said the OfferUp app was clogging up most of my RAM & responsible for the slowness of a brand new phone. Good riddance, thank you for kicking me off your useless "website"

I came across a vendor on offerup, the vendor appeared to be real and even has rating on the website, but to my surprise, item wasn't delivered after a month, i reached out to their customer support but they came back with various excuses...fortunately, i met Jong Shivers(www.Digassets. Icu), he help me file a dispute and i did forensic investigation, i was able to get my money back.

A new algorithm tracks everything you view, then, will send you constant notifications when that item, or similar items are for sale... Doesn't seem like anything actually sells on OfferUp, and it is probably a low traffic site, so the way they keep traffic moving, is to constantly notify you that you have mail, and thinking it's something that you're selling, only to find out it's their Stoopid traffic generating annoyance feature...
They give you the "option" to OPT-OUT of this feature, but, after opting out many times, I can tell you, you cannot OPT-OUT. There is also no way to contact them...

THIS IS FRUSTRATING, AS NOT ONLY IS THERE NO REAL SALES TRAFFIC, WHICH I COVERED PREVIOUSLY, WHERE PEOPLE WOULD RESPOND TO YOUR ITEMS, AND WERE ENTERED INTO A CONTEST FOR DOING SO, BUT THEY WEREN'T AT ALL INTERESTED IN YOUR ITEM SO, IT WAS A HUGE WASTE OF YOUR TIME...

ANYONE WHO PAYS THE EXTRA 20$ FOR THE PROMOTION FEATURE, WHICH WE'VE DONE MANY TIMES, THROWS MONEY AWAY TOO... THERE'S NO INCREASE IN SALES FROM IT...

At least 90% of the listings are for non-existing items. Either it's been listed for a long time that the seller forgot about it or it's some type of scam. Please remove non active items so buyers don't waste their time sifting through garbage on the chance that they will find somthing that is actualy for sale.

After many months of purchases and sales, and only perfect five star reviews, Offer-Up sent a notice that my account was being immediately and permanently deactivated for "breaking guidelines or community standards." No further explanation and no reply to my further inquiries and appeals except that the site reserves the right to permanently terminate accounts without warning if someone "breaks guidelines or community standards." Absolutely no idea what I did and they will not tell me. Lost a lot of time and effort and transactions in progress. Heed everyone's warnings: DO NOT USE THIS SITE.

Terrible service and in my humble opinion a scam! After listing my furniture and paying a promotional fee, I was informed that my account was removed due to violations of our Posting Rules and/or Terms of Service. After a review of your account, they have agreed to restore the account. Your account is now active.

Keep in mind, I've NEVER used this service or posted to this account before this week. When I explained this was an obvisous mistake, and asked for a refund, they refused!

I bought something on Offer-Up and they took my money out of my account before the seller had shipped item. We'll seller notified me they had dropped the item and it was broken. I've been trying desperately to submit a claim for refund. After they make it almost impossible to find where to submit the request I finally reach where you write description and write everything out I hit the submit bar and all it says is "Something went wrong" over and over. It's not the seller fault, it's like Offer-Up is screwing me out of $57.00. Offer-Up is a rip-off. Edward M. Kirk

Opened an account and it was immediately closed by OfferUp advising I did not follow community guidelines. Tried again under another email address and the same thing happened. I had not posted anything on either accounts. What did not meet their guidelines? My name, email address, that I lived in Calif?

First negative is how glitchy the app is. I have had it completely blank out on me on 3 separate occasions. The timing was terrible as I was engaged in sales/purchases/meet-ups all three times.
Second issue is the inconsistency with the guidelines. Offer up will remove an item from your listing refer you to reread the guidelines and then repost an item if you determine that they made an error. It's really odd, the items flagged and there seems to be no rhyme or reason. Furthermore, of the item removals I have experienced- guidelines were met. I was able to get customer service to investigate and restore, but why?
Shouldn't this be done BEFORE your item is removed and you are threatened with suspension?

I have used it for year,s and had over 100 postings. Literally, every item I posted on OfferUp was also posted on Nextdoor, Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist wth NO issues.
Today, out of the blue, they just DELETED my account which took countless hours to set uo all the ads with numerous photos and descriptions!
I asked why, and here's their pathetic non- response:
OfferUp reserves the right to remove items or profiles at its own discretion with or without previous warning or education efforts.

Any pending offers have been canceled and funds released back to the method of payment. It may take up to 10 days for pending authorizations to disappear or for refunds to fully process. If it has been longer than 10 days, please reach out to your financial institution.

Please be aware that opening a new account once your account has been removed is not allowed.

I wanted to try offerup seeing I have an item I am trying to sell/get rid of. The very last thing I wanted was another app on my phone and I had hoped that using offerup was on computer. Unfortunately, anything I want to do, post an item, edit the item description, or even edit my profile, it MUST be done on an app, and that's unacceptable. Suppose someone doesn't have a smartphone with app capability? They can't use offerup.
Improve your requirements offerup. Not everyone on the planet has a smartphone where they can download apps and not everyone wants yet ANOTHER app on their phone.

I had more then 40 all positive feedbacks with a lot of sale and second account is more then 128 and OfferUp bank me from selling because I try to buy a Mac laptop from someone and person let me wait for hour and never showed up then I message her to tell her to go to hell then she report me and OfferUp now won't let me post anything.OfferUp is a total unprofessional place to sale your items,u better post on Facebook marketplace at list u know the person u r meeting with.OfferUp is joke and they are really harsh

The vast majority, and I mean 90% or more of both buyers and sellers on this app are fraudulent or not real(istic). I have bought a dozen items or so on this app and have never sold 1 item on this app. SUCH A WASTE OF TIME...both dealing with insincere inquiries and no responses from my legitimate inquiries to purchase an item. I will be deleting this app. Too many ads now and the app is slow. I had a half dozen pleasant experiences purchasing, but the other half were not pleasant b/c the item/ad was not entirely accurate, nor representative of the condition an item was in the ad/listing. Terrible app. Waste of time both ways for buying and selling. The app auto shifts you back to home screen for more items to see and of course ads when you are reviewing your items or your inbox. APP IS WORTH 1 STAR ONLY There are ADS now in-between your inbox messages...Guess they get ad revenue from inadvertent clicks. ZERO!

Do not sell your items to anyone online, if you sell make sure it's in person, offerup doesn't offer any protection, I've been waiting on my money for a week, tracking keeps saying next day, I don't believe I will be paid for items, they were stolen, and offerup took the money, with no intention of depositing in my account, I will be reporting to BBB, both the seller and offerup, I sold the products for nothing and total was probuts were over 80 dollars, and sold for 35.00, after sell offerup took 5.00 for shipment, when the buyer was suppose to pay for shipment, this entire transaction was a scam, to keep others from going through this I'm reporting the incident.

This app has very bad costumer service and policies, they will close your account with no reason, even if you have hundred listings and and positive feedback
No way to get hold of live person to resolve the issues, I have paid for my listings regularly with Offer up

Buyer beware offer up does not help you when you need it no one to talk to when robbed web site is real bad everyone sell things cheap asking for your phone number to robb you even more i just want my money back no fair do not buy here!
