Next Day Air and Second Day Air orders placed in the morning need to ship the same day, not 6:30 in the evening the following day. I confirmed with the person answering the online chat, that the order would ship that day, so I placed order. It did not ship until late in the evening the following day, not getting out of town until the next day. They need to get their Ship together.
I was upset when Northern tool tried to charge me lift-gate service after I had purchased a $4K zero-turn riding lawn mower that advertised "free shipping to residential". Personally, I don't know anyone who happens to own a fork lift at their residence. Between fighting them to remove that charge and bird-dogging why my product arrived 3 weeks after their ETA, I spent over 5 hours on-hold on their customer service phone calls. For the "inconvenience" they caused me, they gave me a $100 gift card. While that may seem nice, it hardly covers the 5 hours of my time they wasted and the two times it costs to hire someone to mow my lawn. The lawn mower has a 60" cutting deck, so you would think Northern Tool would realize that my lawn is probably big enough that it costs well over $200, just once! I do not intend to buy from Northern Tool online again, unless their product is at least $500 cheaper than the closest competitor.
Ordered 4 items on clearance, received 1 item with shipping charges for 4. Called to complain and got rebated shipping, but was told the item is now out of stock. However, I could order the same product ( but now a different item number) for almost twice as much. Stay away from Northern Tool. Not customer friendly.
About 10 percent more expensive than the cheapest poeps. They ship fast and send you the product you ordered so yea no complaints.
I bought some ceiling fans and they were the lowest quality fans (they were pretty on line) Ive ever seen and they were expensive. I installed one and it was so loud we just said no, return them. I asked for a return authorization and the fans had to be unopened and in original packaging. So im stuck with junky fans, ill sell in a garage sale soon for 10$ each (hopefully). These were imported from Canada (they messed up bacon) and so that just shows their not USA quality. I should have read Northerns return policy and found out that they are not return friendly. So stay away from them and go to Harbor freight for cheap.
This review is more of a review of Northern Tools company than a review of the product itself. The pallet jack that we ordered came in first missing the handle and we refused it. The next time it came in the handle was connected to it but multiple parts were missing and the pallet jack was damaged badly. At this point it was unusable as a wheel pin was missing, a bolt that connects the handle to the frame was missing and the other two bolts were bent. I contacted customer service and they asked if I wanted to send it back and have it replaced or take a discount. I told them I would keep it (since it is a pallet jack and the scrapes would come eventually anyways) but only if they sent me the missing parts. They sent the parts I needed and I beat the bent bolts back into shape and put the jack back together. This is where the service falls off. I emailed customer service back and said I received the parts but to make sure they issued me the 10% credit since we were keeping it. Here's her reply: The 10% discount was if you going to keep the product as is. Since we sent parts there is no discount that can be issued. So because they sent the parts that should have come with the item they will not give the discount (which would have totally to something like $30. TL; DR I would avoid Northern Tools if possible as they will not honor their word and items may come in will missing parts and damaged.

I ordered a $1500 compressor and they had sent it out to the wrong address and no one wants to help they all say different stories every single different representative that you talk to. Terrible place to do business with first and last time ever buying from them
Ordered an item from Northern Tool on a Monday Apr. 2nd early in the AM.
UPS showed a shipping label was printed on the following Wednesday Apr. 4th late in the afternoon but wasn't shipped, just the shipping label printed.
On Thursday afternoon, Apr. 5th, the UPS tracking site still showed it not being shipped yet so I called NT to find out what the delay was. The customer service person basically said it wasn't his problem and there was nothing he could do about it anyway and could care less.
Finally on Thursday evening the UPS tracking site showed an 'origin scan' at 5:44 PM and it actually shipped out at 8:24 PM. It shows that it will be delivered to me on Thurs. Apr. 12th.
We're leaving town Wed. Apr. 11th and I wanted it before we left. There was more than enough time for it to arrive to me by that time if NT been on the ball enough to ship it out in a reasonable amount of time--.
Consequently, I now need to leave a note on the door for UPS refusing the package because --NT took too long to ship it out--.
This is the first and definitely the LAST order I will place from Northern Tool.
I ordered something on Monday and it didn't even ship out until the next Tuesday, when it was estimated to have been delivered to me by then. When I called on the Thursday after I ordered she told me it was on credit hold because my business address was different from billing address. (which in a business is not unusual.) I asked if they had tried to call and double check she said no. She told me it would ship out that day. On Tuesday I got an email saying it was shipping that day. UGH.
I called and again and all they could say is it went through another hold. Absolutely ridiculous. They will no longer get any of our business on website or in the store. I had called on that same tool box to the store in my city and the woman couldn't even walk over to the tool boxes and let me know if they had one the size I needed unless I could give her a number.
Ok, ordered the following, they neglected to inform me that they didn't have any in stock. Here I sit going on month two they have my money and I have no tool. Ironton Dry Cut Metal Saw Seriously, put them out of business and do not buy from them!
After purchasing a generator in 2/1/2012 -- they have been charging $39.99 membership fee every year on 2/1. Finally discovered this 2018 on my credit card bill. I never asked for, authorized or requested a membership from this company. Nothing else was even purchased from the company since the original purchase.
One would describe this practice as dishonest, unscrupulous and fraudulent.
Avoid doing business with this company. They are not to be trusted.
Placed an order online, and have an account with NT, there is no place to add a PO# when checking out. I contacting them afterward to see if I can add a PO# to my order, so when it arrives, our receiving department knows where the order goes and who it goes to. I was told if I added a PO# then i would have to call back and pay for the material a second time, as the PO# would wipe out the payment info. Just ridiculous. Never heard of a software that doesnt ask for a PO# from the customer. Especially in a business to business environment. Will have to spend 30 minutes this morning to pace a $200 order
Northern Tool? Contacting Customer Service is a good 20 -30 minute HOLD time and once you get through to someone they are incompetent. This all began 11 am this morning, with Mary? And Zack, it is now 1:30 PM... I placed an order on our OPEN account on Jan 04. Jan 25 - called - where is our order? The credit card was declined and the order was cancelled. No kidding, that was placed on an OPEN account. Value exceeds our CC limit. Now with Cleotha - Spent 45 minutes trying to get the order re-entered. She finally had it entered, told me the total was $684.97 including shipping. I asked her to repeat the total. 15 minutes later I get an Order Acknowledgement via email, total is $1056. 28. This requires another lengthy HOLD call to Customer Service... again. 3rd time today. Per Randy - told me the order confirmation shows what the order VALUE is, not what we are going to be invoiced. I don't care if the value was $50k, WHAT are we going to be billed? $883.55. What?!? A/P is never going to be able to match any of this up and you are NOT going to get PAID. Further, that doesn't match what Cleotha told me an hour ago, it is supposed to be $684.97. The order history online does not even reflect the correct cost either. "Well Bluetarp will show the right cost" BS, I am not going to Bluetarp. He will have Cleotha call me back. This means a fourth call today... I have other work to do! Still not straightened out. Problem is, this is not unusual with this company! Find somewhere to buy your stuff that has it's act together!
Our company purchased the 2 gun 4000psi unit one year ago along with the extended warranty. We have had to replace the burner, the hose reels 2 x's, all of the hoses and the unloader valve 3 x's. This week the tire and rim flew off of the trailer due to all 5 bolts snapping off. Every time we have tried to make a claim the warranty department has said this is normal wear and tear. Norther tool and their line of NorthStar pressure cleaners is a joke. Spend the extra money and get yourself a quality product.
IN 2010 WE PURCHASED A NORTH STAR HOT WATER PRESSURE WASHER. IT HAS WORKED GOOD OVER THE YEARS. IN AUGUST OF 2017 WE ORDERED A NEW CAT PUMP FOR $430, IN GOOD FAITH. IT NEVER WORKED, WE MADE SEVERAL PHONE CALLS, SOME TO TECH SUPPORT, PURCHASED MORE PARTS. IT DIDNT FIX THE PUMP, NOT WORKING. AFTER ALL ATTEMPTS FAILED, WE SENT THE PUMP TO NORTHERN. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE PUMP FAILURE WAS OUR FAULT BECAUSE OF LACK OF WATER.
SO MY QUESTION WAS - THE PUMP NEVER WORKED! FROM DAY ONE IT DIDNT WORK, WE INVESTED AROUND TWELVE HOURS OF LABOR AND PHONE CALLS AND MORE PARTS. ONLY TO BE TOLD NORTHERN IS NOT GOING TO STAND BEHIND THE NEW PUMP THEY SOLD US. OUR TECH TALKED TO NORTHERNS TECH DEPT, WE TALKED TO DENSELLE, DARWIN, BRIAN, AND TRIED EVERYTHING THEY SAID, AND PUT PARTS ON THAT WE DIDNT NEED. THE PUMP WAS DEFECTIVE AND THAT THEY WERE NOT GOING TO SEND US ANOTHER PUMP AT NO CHARGE.

Tomorrow and that shipping time will be 5 to 7 days
This item is a heater that has been needed in the worst way.

I placed an order for Quincy QT54, Jet 712D, and Maxline 3/4 master kit. When I followed up on my order several days later, I was informed my billing address did not match. Northern had me contact my USAA bank, and USAA said Northern never attempted to run my card. I called Northern and they asked me to mail a copy of my bank statement to verify my billing address lol. I requested Northern run my card as USAA suggested, and Northern refused and asked if I want to cancel my order twice lol. What does Northern do for a living again? I made several calls including the sales department, order department and credit department. They all said the same sad story; take your business elsewhere. If I had not followed up, I would not have known my confirmation order number was a fake lol. Northern does not want my business, and I will assure you, the world will hear my story! I bought from Beileigh Industrial Jan 9th yesterday with no problem with same USAA card and continue to buy from ASEDeals.com without any issues! Northern has major issues
Made one order never shipped. Then placed another order they shipped two weeks late. Never wanted to use them again but had a gift card. Used that and three weeks later still not shipped. I swear on my life to never use northern again.
Ordered last week, now they notified me they can't fulfill my order, and it is too late to buy somewhere else for deadline.
The auto twirler is junk. I put it together and that was fine. I put my car on it and when I went to turn the gear box, it only rotated 1 time and then that was it. It would not turn anymore. The handle turns freely and does not rotate the car. I called northern tool customer service and they were no help, they were quick to palm me off to the manufacturer of the product which was no help either. Now I am stuck with an expensive tool that Is not functional and useless now. Do not buy this device from northern tool.
Answer: Absolutely horrible, you get the rub around with emails containing same useless info from multiple people, shop elsewhere and save yourself the stress and anxiety
