It is a rarity to find a website for neighborhoods that is actually safe secure and not phony!
I was a little skeptical when I first got on this site about three years ago when I was in another location and when I move to my current residence, I immediately got back on this site! Why? Trust! I can get accurate information, "converse" with neighbors throughout the area. I have not experienced any breach of privacy,

I know what time Nextdoor publishes it newsletter each day so I can check it for updates. I love the neighbor news as well as market postings. It's a good resource for recommendations as well as references. I read it daily!

Just had our garbage disposal and new faucet installed by Jaime. He did an excellent job. He was efficient, courteous, and cleaned up after he did his repairs. Would recommend him for any of your plumbing needs.

Most of my experiences on Nextdoor have been good but the best example is it led me to the adoption of my dog. Its former owner was going into hospice care and the dog needed to be "re-homed". I am the lucky new owner of this well-mannered, house broken, healthy 7 year old Cocker Spaniel.

I really like being a part of Next Door. It helps being apprised of what is going on in my community. Traffic updates are noted when I am going in areas that need to be avoided. Asking for help allows me to do so when I can. Most of all I recommend making a file and keeping recommendations from people that are happy with their services and places of interest. I have used my file marked NEXT DOOR several times with their recommendations and have been very happy.

I started using Next Door in its very early stages sometime in 2011 or 2012. I immediately embraced it because we are in the digital age and it is a great way to connect with your neighbors and the concentric circles of your neighborhood. An invaluable tool to connect and communicate.

We had a pool built last August and asked our pool builder, should we have the Travertine sealed; He replied yes, if you don't want it to stain. We asked him who should we call. He said, Carolina Sealing Xperts was the only company in Charlotte that actually knows what there doing. We called and Mr. Neil Shepard came out and explained what, why and how. I found Mr. Shepard to be very professional, easy to talk to and very honest. We hired them to clean and seal our decking. My husband and I are thrilled with the results and would recommend this company to anyone that wants or needs there travertine deck sealed. Friends had there deck sealed by another pool builder and destroyed there travertine. We explained and they hired Mr. Shepard to fix there travertine decking.

I've found it enjoyable and useful to be able to keep up with what's going on with neighbors and the broader community at large, and to be able to ask for advice or recommendations. It has a built-in marketplace, so people also use it to buy and sell. The municipality also posts updates and goings-on, though I think they could be better at that (all towns are different I suppose). Overall, I think it's a good community-building tool and a great way to know about what's going on locally. Everyone should be on it.

The mods have mental issues

I have found several tradesmen that were recommended on NextDoor and have bought and sold several things. I also find it valuable for lost pet notices and reunited a dog I found with his owner. Love this app!

Nextdoor is the place to be if you want to keep current on what is happening in your area. You can find great recommendations from your neighbors on things like home repairs, lawn care, day care, restaurants, etc. Local law enforcement and government agencies also post on the site which is helpful in keeping current on important developments. Love my Nextdoor community!

What a great way to meet your neighbors and talk about things that affect your area! Helpful, understanding, sometimes humorous, but always worthwhile.

The owner Danny DiTommaso answered calls right away, was clear about what his company was going to do.
