Next door is a good way to communicate about some neighborhood items of interest. We also use it for our vacation home.

It's the best way to get recommendations from obscure companies someone might not think of and to hear from people who had great/good/bad experiences out there.

I mostly read what people write. Occasionally maybe give input where I can.
Generally, a good experience. I find that people do care what is going on in the area. Some maybe too much.:-)

I was on Nextdoor in a different part of the state and moved here a year ago. I couldn't figure out how to disenroll from the old neighborhood until recently.

I have been able to get advice about washer and stove repairs, sprinkler repairs etc. And it is nice to be able to try to sell something and not be charged for it.

I love to stay alert on neighborhood happenings. However, the log in has been troublesome. I use to have no issues... then suddenly every time I logged in it said I needed to "verify" my email (which had never changed) There was always a red bar at the top saying this. I would verify, etc.- go through the process and nothing changed. SO - it is a hassle, and I don't check it as often as I would like to due to his problem.

I am not very computer literate (older person), so I have not learned how
To really use the site. Need assistance on that. But have personally
Contacted people where pets are concerned whether lost, or needing a home,
Etc. (I run a dog rescue). Have found things to purchase, and some things were given to me! Good for information, contacts, and reaching out.

On the whole, I really enjoy Nextdoor. I especially like it to stay on top of area crime, lost animals, and recommendations. I think it does draw the neighbors together. I have a bit of a concern that it is over monitored where things are taken down if even a little edgy. I realize there are things that don't need to be expressed, but give us a little more credit. But thanks for providing ND.

I find the nextdoor experience helpful but naturally some use it and abuse it. I don't want to know your political leanings or your skills. I want to know recommendations and activities in my neighborhood to expand my abilities to be more active.

I have used Next Door to send messages to my neighbors and keep up with is happening in my city by reading the posts of others. It has always been a positive experience

Duality. Some good posting & and lots of noise. Vital few & and the trivial many.

I think people can use guidance on how to compose a noteworthy post, benefiting the greater good.

I love the fact that you can get recommendations from people who actual experience the situation which is very helpful. To know about things going on in the neighborhood is also a plus. The only negative I fine is when some people think they know everything and start to pick every conversation apart.

Love the updates of what is going on around the area. I like being able to sell or give away items and connecting with my neighbors that I never meet.

I like having access to information about my neighborhood.
It seems to be especially helpful locating pets who get lost and found.
It was very helpful to get information about a proposed multi-family apartment complex that would have impacted our neighborhood very negatively with excess traffic and put a strain on the resources of our wonderful Bear Lake community.

I find Nextdoor to be useful for recommendations, finding lost pets, and finding out about local events.

I like hearing updates on the area or recommending new restaurants and services. Being able to post items for sale is also a nice service. I could do without the bickering between members on certain subjects. Not sure why I haven't received any notifications in months...

I have found nextdoor.com to be informative, creative and a way to connect with our town and neighborhoods that we didn't have before.

I was receiving the emails for over a year and then they just stopped. I have tried repeatedly to re join without success. So I would say it failed me previously enjoyed being involved.

Keeps neigbors "in the know". From lost pets to worthwhile contractors. It's a good thing! It's easy and informative and so far people "play nice" on it.
