Appalling customer service. My business has been not functioning for a whole week with the loss of so far more then 200,000 USD in revenue. They don't care. I have spent 3 hours every evening this week holding on the support line. I am pushed from one support group to another. I get put on hold and then cut off when someone is in the middle of dealing with the query. Have to start again. They deleted our mail accounts because THEY failed to implement a credit card change - although they did charge the new card correctly for two months, they then just went back to the old cancelled card. No explanation. No apology. They never sent any emails to us to advise there was a problem - just deleted all our mailboxes.
They could not recover the backup so we lost all our historic email. They set up a new system but it has not worked yet - a week later. They are most awful ISP I have ever come across. Writing this while hanging in their queue after being cut off AGAIN mid call.

Terrible!

We paid $17,000 for hosting, FB and SEO on 8/29/19 and until yesterday, 12/3/2019 absolutely nothing had been done. Whatever they did yesterday has caused our website to be down and we cannot send or receive emails. When trying to call them we are put on hold for a minimum of 1 hour every single time. When someone finally answers we're put on hold again. I wouldn't use this company it was free!

Very disappointed
November 21, 2019

Worst Customer Service ever, because of that i try to move my service to another web host and they would not help, also for 15 month i was paying for a service that they knew i wasn't able to use outside of the US however they gave me the run around for months until i ask someone to walk me through the process they admin it cant be done. However when i ask for a refund they refuse and couldn't give me a reason as to why not.

I really like how simple the website is to use. After looking around for a while this is the easiest and most straightforward website builder I've found. The low first month trial is perfect because you can cancel easily by calling the customer service number provided. Biggest plus... The domain name I wanted was available!

Fraudulent charges!

They charged my card for over $400! They guy will lie too you and tell you he won't charge it but will... DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL ABOUT HOW THE SITE WAS SUPPOSE TOO BE LAID OUT! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!

Scam, stay away

They just tried to extort me for $1250. They wouldn't let me renew the domains and now require "re-registration" period. Google "network solutions scam" and you'll see many stories. Its a horrible company and clearly a scam, stay away.

My domain has always been paid for on time. The registrar suspended my domain because of an outdated email address and took down my entire website and email. It's been 7 days and counting. Losing thousands of dollars and customers and they still won't help. Contacted icann.org and filed formal complaint. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR NEVER USE IPAGE OR DOMAIN.com!

Never go with the DIY. I was with web.com for 9 years and they have gone down hill. I will never recommend this crap of a business to my worst enemy
If they can't make a commission of you they destroy your DIY website.

The one thing this company is very good at is billing. The work they do for an SEO service is not even close to the level of quality as their billing department. I own a company in Canada, CreteMaster.com and they cannot even understand that we have Provinces where they have States. They refer to the city, Canada, instead of the city, Province. For example, I could not get them to refer to Fredericton, New Brunswick instead of Fredericton Canada in keyword searches. Once I did get them to include a Province they referred to Charlottetown, New Brunswick instead of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (PEI). Here is a couple of examples from their monthly keyword report sent to me and this is after working with them for 6 months, "concrete jacking charlottetown new brunswick canada", "concrete leveling edward island new brunswick canada". This is just two of numerous examples of similar issues. They seem to be reluctant to correct information after they make errors on your website. My website still says I do concrete foam injection when I don't even do that service after numerous times of telling them it is incorrect. I could go on and on. I also hired them to do some Facebook Marketing for me. They go ahead and create a new Facebook business page where I had one already, and they knew it, and they even spelled my company name incorrectly. I basically got zero benefit but back to their billing department they were right on the ball with no consideration for me and what I got for the hard earned money they were taking from me. For two years these guys charged me for a service I did not purchase, and then they deleted all of my emails. They say they are sorry but aren't responsible. They are absolutely the worst and it's hard to get away from them once you sign on.

Absolutely useless

Extremely slow work schedule, slow contact time. Was told that that they were working on updating the PHP version of my website yet after 3 months of nothing, I called (for the 8th time) for them to tell me that they do not do PHP updates. Absolute waste of time and money, DO NOT USE WEB.COM FOR ANY WEBSITE HELP

Every time I have called in the representative has been very rude my boyfriend and I created a account for a business we were trying to start was very complicated called to cancel it being charged to MY credit card but they wouldn't let me cancel it and continues to take money from my account until my boyfriend gave them a call back to just say his name I had the phone number on file email everything to be responsible to cancel this account they are very unorganized and rude I do not recommend this company to anyone I was promised a refund because I finally canceled the services and they have not refunded anything and I am currently on the phone with them to get the refund since I'm being charged for a month I have not used I canceled my account before hand and they're not giving me it back. Pain in the butt

My website is basically down 4 times a month and its been going one for more than one year now and webs (webs.com) just cannot fix it. One time it was down 48 long hours, I was going completely nuts. If you want to use webs to built your website and to have them up and running it for you, let me tell you that they can help you build it but they cannot maintain it online for more than one week without having it down. Customer service, does not care fyi.

Buyer beware!

I wish I could give negative stars, because Register.com is not even worth a single star.

Since June 7,2019, I have been trying to reach Register.com about a domain that is no longer in use and to cancel any and all services for that domain. I tried calling Register.com on Saturday -- Register.com states very clearly their hours of operation for Monday thru Friday, and Saturday and Sunday -- they were supposed to handle calls until 10:00PM on Saturday, and I called at/around 8:30PM. After going through numerous prompts to filter or focus my customer service needs, I get a recorded message that they're closed and call back during business hours (and I DID CALL BETWEEN BUSINESS HOURS!).

Since the call didn't work out, I filled out their online support form and was given a 'ticket number' and read that it may take 24 to 48 hours for support to get back in touch with me. When I tried to check back about my 'support ticket', there was no 'support ticket' opened. So, once again, I filled out another support form, got a 'ticket number'. It's been over 48 hours and no one has contacted me. I am beyond aggravated and believe that basically I'm out $38.00 for a domain that is no longer in use and hasn't been used for several months.

Register.com allows you sign up for services online, but to cancel, you have to call, and then they NEVER answer. Really, I just think and believe its a way to screw people over and out of their money --- you know, give the customer the run-around long enough and they'll give up.

I will NEVER use Register.com's services again and I certainly will warn everyone to steer clear of doing business with Register.com. Awful customer service. Terrible, nonexistent support. NO communication. Horrible business ethics and practices. Register.com is a 'loophole thief'.

Anyone who reads this review, my most sincere advice -- do business with another company and save yourself the headache and frustration of dealing with and losing money to Register.com.
