NetworkSolutions Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is marked by a stark divide in customer experiences. On one hand, some clients commend the quality of specific services, particularly in web design and SEO assistance, highlighting instances of exceptional customer support. However, a significant number of reviews reveal persistent issues, including slow response times, inadequate technical support, and billing disputes, which contribute to a growing sense of frustration among long-term users. Overall, while there are positive interactions, the prevailing sentiment underscores a troubling decline in service quality and reliability, prompting many customers to seek alternatives.

Web.com are idiots! They practically ruined my business. I had a storefront for many years, and as soon as I signed up with them to do my marketing I had to move my company into my garage after 5 months. Their ignite marketing was a failure. They constantly had wrong phone numbers and addresses listed and never changed them when I would hound them about it everyday. They build a website for me and after i paid for it and my contract was up they sent me a hard copy of it that had missing content. Long, long, long story short, my site had no photos for 2.5 weeks and I lost massive business because I switched hosting company's and found out then that things were missing. Then I had to fight like an animal to get them to send me a copy that was supposedly complete. I'm sure it's not and will find out one day when I need to use it to make any changes. Please stay away from them. They have no idea what they are doing!

Unbelievable. Employees at web.com are, yes, nice and polite folks. But incompetent when it comes to making simple changes to my site.
It is so frustrating and ridiculous. I'm livid. Everyday other day, call to request change. Wait 2 days, look at website, STILL CHANGES NOT PICKED UP.

The last few support calls to NS were much better than a few years ago, yet there still is a wide variance in the knowledge & customer service quality from one rep to the next. Hang up and call back if your rep seems to be leading you down a wrong path.

Please read this before you risk your business by using Web.com. Right now, I have a pretty website that is completely non-functional, can't receive any email messages, and the site is intermittently down for periods of 3-25 minutes, round the clock. Keep reading for the details if you're not convinced (I'm I'm tech savvy, so if you're not- run from this company now!).
I opened a new business with Web.com in October and I've spent more time trying to resolve issues with them than doing anything else. I use Jetpack to track system down time and it's been up and down like a roller-coaster between 25-3 minutes at a clip. The techs tell me that some issues are "known" (great- they knew, but no one told me my business was down!). Worse-- access to the back end of my site shut down over the weekend and my business email address was wiped from the system. It's been a day now on an email-driven business with NO ACCESS TO EMAIL at all. My customers are receiving a "Relaying Denied" error message. Best part? If you try to use their very own online support ticket system, you can't. It hasn't worked in two weeks- What does that say about the company? Week 1 - you couldn't pick an issue from the dropdown list, week 2 (presently) the pick list item highlights but you can't select it.
When I finally got a rep on the phone (it's no 12:14 on day three of the epic tragedy of finding out what's wrong with my website) and they claim someone called and told them "I couldn't afford email." The entire package is $30 a month, so I don't know how that's possible. And who called to leave this mysterious message? No one seems to know. Here's where the final warning comes in- if you are on the phone with them, don't let them say they'll work on the issue and resolve it off-line. I'm pretty sure that's how the above happened. As soon as you hang up, your issue is not the priority - and if they're distracted - your business will suffer.
If you don't want to seem like an inept business owner or lose business during downtimes, run from web.com.

Avoid in All Cases!
November 30, 2016

Had them for 3 months. The worst experience to try and start a small business. Every time you call you have to take a survey. They even asked if I would write a review of them for the BBB! Last, they changed my phone number on my site without my consent after 3 months, so all my advertising, business cards given out and flyers were no good. The executive refused to correct it. Avoid this company. To cancel, they require you to give them your password-INSANE!

I lost three weeks of personal web building. Each call to Web.com is from 20-40 minutes. The recording is stuck on 'It will be another ten minutes.' They promise to send e-mails they don't deliver. They sent me to Register.com and that was a joke. Three calls and I finally got my confirmation e-mail and refund. So far this nightmare is on going since today they didn't sent the e-mail with my EPP to transfer my domain. I am so angry because when I called back they said they were closed till Monday.

A Let Down!
October 4, 2016

I was excited about getting my website set up and having a professional looking site that would attract clients to my business. The young lady who initially interviewed.me took the information I gave her and populated the website with information that looked like she had just taken dictation and cut and paste the content onto my website. I expected that the site would be set up with amazing content using the information I provided, but that was not the case.
I was told that I would not be billed for 4-5 days once the website was up and running and final edits made and following my consultation. That was not the case. I was billed after just 2 days and had not received my final consultation. Needless to say I'm not happy with web.com. Would hesitate to recommend them to anyone else.

And got disconnected and spent over an hour via numerous phone #'s and holds trying to reconnect; only to find out they could not find my new account. Waiting for a marketing specialist to call. Was told it takes 24 hrs. For the account to become activated. So needless to say my first impression and experience were less than positive. :(

DO NOT USE WEB.Com
September 22, 2016

You start out believing you will get a low cost website. I ended up paying $800 for a custom site and agreed to the $114/month for hosting and support.

That $114 got me nothing! I thought it included SEO but it does not. That's extra. I had some issues and called support thinking I would get great support but every time I've called them, I get passed from one team to another, usually about 4 times before giving up.

One month, they billed me for 3. I'm now trying to move my domain to another host (that costs $10 per month) but they aren't responding to the request. I've called them twice now to get this done and I get the same run around as every other time I've called

Do NOT use WEB.com - go to someone who cares. First, you have to CALL them to CANCEL your website. And then, they put you through 20 questions before they will cancel. Then they lock your domain so you cannot transfer your domain to someone else. Incessant sales calls, hours of aggravation & waiting on HOLD via phone. Don't bother with support tickets -- they refer you to CALL IN - which does not solve the problem either. 1 year later, I am STILL trying to get my domain transferred.

I called to extend 4 domain names for 20 years. That was accomplished. I also did some Web forwarding of two domains.
During that discussion Stanley LeBlanc introduced me to an opportunity to do a 3 month trial for Web.com to provide webpage consultation and SEO services through their "Ignite On Line" marketing. I agreed and was then routed to the Web.com team. They conducted their initial interview. So far OK.
BUT THEY THEN SENT ME AN EMAIL to establish them as an editor to My Google Business page. When I tried following the instructions they were not accurate. They referred to a "Management Tab" that did not exist. I called the Web.com assistance number *******301 for help. The Technician/receptionist said that the email was wrong and his supervisors knew about it. I then asked why it was sent when it was known to be wrong. He then routed me to Google for assistance.
At that point it became obvious that I should not rely upon Web.com to provide professional services if they knowingly sent me an obsolete email.

Seeing all the bad reviews I had to put my two cents in and say that I had a good experience with them. I purchased a domain with register.com for. 50 with a promotion and paid only I think 5 bucks for the hosting.
I had a lot of problems with the hosting itself and contacted support a lot regarding it and I threaten to cancel my account which in turn they offered me another free month.
I thought they handled it very professionally and they were always available when I called or while working on my site they would chat with me.
This hosting side does need a lot of work but one thing I did like about it too is that once you register, it will ask for your company name and then all the templates will have your business name prewriten which was really nice since I'm not that good with words.
So four stars from me... they didn't quite get the fifth star but I may try them again and see if I can rate them better.

I signed up on 6/20/16 for a domain at $5.90, somehow my billing I found out was to be $32.00 per month. I never at all agreed on this price, and immediately I cancelled my account. There is no way I could pay that amount, as I am living on my pension. Not only that because my computer is mac *******, I could not open their website. I was told by Web.com to upload chrome to get in to their site. However, chrome could not upload an old mac, neither would firefox, and none of the staff knew what to do. Being close to the weekend with banks closed. I on Monday will visit my branch, and renew my old credit car for a new credit card. Actually, I found the staff with limited knowledge of the internet. I spent some four hours trying to get answers, why am I charged $thirty two dollars per month that I did not agree on? With no real explanation I had the good sense to say Bye bye Web.com., and I wish Web.com success in the future training their staff to be efficient. Without efficiency creates big problems, welcome to the world of the internet.

Do not use web.com
January 12, 2016

When I started with web.com I thought I was using an inexpensive trial period. When I realized I was being charged for more than I bargained for ( along with terrible website building software) I cancelled my account being told I could not receive a refund for the surprise domain name charges. So I let it go. When a year later I was charged $37 for the domain name on a cancelled account. I had to fight tooth a nail in order to get this refunded by customer service who only wanted to prove to me the charges were justified. Now I cannot get my credit card info off of the website and have to live in fear that they will only charge me again... DO NOT USE WEB.COM
